Doc took one look at the man and hated him on sight. It was easy to do, seeing as he was also a lawyer.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Wilson said. “I’m calling the cops.”
Doc didn’t care, and he made his way toward the main master bedroom. Opening a window, he started to gather items of clothing and throwing them out the window onto the lawn. Razor came in and started to do the same.
Wilson charged in, and when he attempted to attack him, fist clenched right on top of his knuckle which was a classic mistake, Doc grabbed him and threw him across the room. The woman with him let out a little scream.
“What is the meaning of this?” she asked.
“This house and everything in it belongs to Jamie Carmichael. Consider this your eviction notice,” Doc said. “Jamie and June will be moving back in by the end of today.”
“Are you fucking kidding me? That whore has used her pussy to try to get this house?”
Doc didn’t like when men disrespected their wives. There were times he hated Nancy. He wanted to fucking throttle her for the shit she put him through, but he never did. He handled his shit like everyone else.
Grabbing Wilson around the throat, he pinned him to the wall, lifting him off the ground just a little. The man was big, but there was no hint of muscle. He clearly didn’t work out after sitting all day, reading law books.
“Jamie Carmichael is a lady,” Doc said. “She has taken care of you and your kid, and all you did was toss her aside. If you think you can threaten her, I want you to look into my eyes and understand that I don’t give a fuck about the law. To you, in this town, I am the law, and you will leave and spend the rest of your life paying that woman back. If you don’t, I will personally make your life a living hell.” He turned to the woman. “I suggest you leave and get out of town now. If you don’t, I will make sure the only thing you can do is suck dick until the nasty taste of cum is all that is on your mouth and face.”
The woman looked terrified and quickly ran away. There was no way she was staying to help Wilson.
“See, you fuck a whore, they leave you to save their own ass,” he said.
He let Wilson go, and he might have tightened his hand around the bastard’s neck.
It took a couple of hours, and partway through, Razor had their own lawyer come into the house and work on the paperwork needed for Jamie Carmichael.
Doc left long enough to make his way back to the trailer park to find Jamie and June playing on the small patch of earth outside their trailer. He’d noticed the car she had the other day.
Jamie got to her feet the moment he arrived, and she looked a little troubled.
“Is everything okay?” she asked.
“Pack your things,” Doc said. “Your house is waiting for you, and I’ve already got a locksmith changing the locks, so you won’t have to worry.”
“You did all of that for me?” Jamie asked. “What do you want?”
Doc looked at the little girl and smiled. “You love your daughter. That is all I ask.”
“But you didn’t have to do this, not for anyone.”
“I know what I did and didn’t have to do. Consider this something I wanted to do.” He offered her a smile, but Jamie looked doubtful. “I’m a man who believes in responsibility. Wilson used you, and he had a responsibility to take care of you and your little girl. I cannot abide men who run at the first chance they get. I never ran, and trust me, there were days I wanted to. I never did. I love my daughter. Kids are everything.”
Jamie had tears in her eyes.
He crouched down toward June. “I bet you’re missing your old room, aren’t you?” he asked.
June nodded, ran toward him, and threw her arms around him. He’d seen the footage of how easy it was for Wilson to discard his family, and the very thought of any man doing that filled him with disgust. There was a chance he’d kill Wilson someday, but that day was not today. He’d keep a close eye on that son of a bitch.
Doc waited for Jamie and June to pack up their car, and Wilson’s life hung in the balance, because he knew he’d sold a great deal of their belongings and it pissed him off.
June and Jamie got into the car and made their way out of the trailer park. Doc followed close behind and didn’t overwhelm them, but the moment he got to the house, several of the other Chaos Monsters MC members had arrived.
