He shifts his feet to tug out of my grasp. “Scissors, a knife, a hacksaw, a .45, anything that might help me get out of this fucking cage?” His voice is too soft, too controlled.

My mind screams to step back and get the hell away from him, but the guilt in my belly won’t allow me to move. “No. I didn’t bring anything with me. It’s just me. I can’t let you go. They’ll kill me.”

“Isn’t that what you wanted anyway? For me to kill you?”

I shuffle forward in my crouch, but I don’t feel him. “If you kill me, I know, at least, I think I know, it would have been quick. If my father kills me, he’ll give me to his men, and they will use me until someone finally kills me by accident.”

He doesn’t speak, but I can hear him breathing, or maybe that’s my ragged breath. Between the nerves and the fear of being caught, I can’t catch a full breath. I slide my hand along the cold hard floor, but I still feel nothing. Carefully, I keep creeping closer in the dark, hoping I’ll reach him. At the very least, I can give him some of my body heat.

“Are you okay? Have they hurt you yet?”

There’s a long pause, and then he finally answers, and I shift my face, trying to see him in the dark. “No. But they forced a shit ton of drugs down my throat earlier. It took three of them, and I’m sure one had to go to the hospital. I hope he’s dead.” The calm neutral way he says it makes my palms sweat despite the chill.

“Good. I hate those guys. They should all be dead.”

I keep moving until my hand finally meets warm skin again, and then in a lightning flash, I realize I crawled between his sprawled open legs, and my hand is now pressed against his stomach. His erection pokes my wrist.

I jerk away. “Sorry. Sorry, I can’t see anything.”

“What do you want, Priscilla?” He draws my name out like he’s taunting me. Like he knows I don’t like it.

“If they gave you the same drugs I tried to, why aren’t you trying to fuck the concrete right now?” I reach out and run my hand against his abs again.

He hisses out a long breath. Ah. Not as unaffected as he’s pretending to be.

“Just because I have more self-control doesn’t mean I want your fucking hands on me.”

His knee hits the side of my hip hard enough to send me sprawling to my ass. I have to catch myself before my face hits the floor. “What the fuck? I came here to help you.”

“Oh, how do you plan to do that? You didn’t bring me anything I can use, and you sure as hell didn’t bring me any weapons. How were you planning to help me?” He’s angry now, and it should scare the shit out of me. I’ve seen him angry with the casino before. The ambulance barely made it in time to help the other guy.

“I can warm you up some, maybe. I thought if they had been drugging you, and you needed relief.” I wobble over onto my feet again, keeping a little more distance between us this time. “I’m just trying to help the only way I’m able. If I free you, they will torture and kill me in the worst way possible. I can’t do it. I’m sorry.”

I reach out to touch him again, but he jerks his thigh from under my fingers. “Don’t fucking touch me. I told you.” He’s on the verge of screaming now, and if he doesn’t keep quiet, one of the guards will come in and catch me here.

I scramble over his thick muscled thighs and straddle him. With a whispered apology, I put my hand over his mouth. I’m close enough now that I can see his eyes and every bit of hate he harbors for me in those dark depths. “I’m so sorry, but I can’t let you bring the guards. I’ll leave you in a minute once they go for their first coffee break. I just have to wait until then.”

I try not to think of his thick length pressed between us. My threadbare black leggings are doing nothing to dampen the feel of him against me. His hips press up to rub himself there, and I clamp my mouth together so I don’t moan.

Gently, I loosen my hand over his mouth. “If I drop this, are you going to calm down? You can say whatever you need to say, but I just can’t get caught here.”

His eyes promise pain, but I hold my ground. Finally, he shakes his head.

Well then.

I blink and shift forward so I can see him better in the dark. He gives me nothing, though. No way to tell what he’s thinking or feeling besides massively aroused between my thighs.
