“I like it a little rough.”

Bell tightened her hold around him, and he jerked beneath her, thrusting his pelvis up against her palm.

“Does it feel good?” she asked.

“Yeah, so fucking good, baby. Don’t stop.”

She licked her dry lips and watched him, his reactions.

Bell could gladly watch Tank for a lifetime. She paused in working her hand up and down his dick as the thought struck her.

She was no doormat.

Seeing the evidence of his invasion of her privacy had pissed her off, immensely, but now she didn’t care. Tank was part of the club, the Straight to Hell MC. With that guy asking questions tonight, she had no doubt there was always a risk. Always the chance someone was going to do him wrong, which terrified her.

Was his life always in danger?

“Babe, what’s got you frowning again?” he asked.

“I … I don’t want anything to happen to you.” She still held his cock in her hand, but she hadn’t moved. She stayed perfectly still.

“Bell, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“That guy last night. He’s the enemy … right?”

Tank licked his lips, and then he nodded.

“Is that what your life is like? I mean, is that why…”

“Why I invaded your privacy and had to check you out?”

She nodded.

“My life always comes with risk, Bell. I’d do anything to protect my brothers, but I know that you’re a good person, and I hope one day, you’ll trust me.”

“Why?”

“Besides the fact you’ve got your fingers on my dick and I’m being pretty fucking trusting?”

She smiled.

“Because this isn’t ever going to be over between them. I’ve got a feeling that you feel that way as well,” he said.

She nodded.

“See. You and I, this is meant to be. I trust you, Bell. In time, the guys will trust you, but with all things, it takes time. We’ve had women turn their back on us before. Hurt us. We have to be cautious for the club and for our own safety.”

“Please, don’t talk about other women that have been with you, not while I’m holding your dick,” she said.

Tank chuckled. “Oh, trust me, there hasn’t been a woman I’ve ever trusted like I do you. No woman can even compare to how I feel about you.” His hands went to her hips and then slowly slid up until he cupped her tits. His thumbs grazed over the peaks, and Bell gasped as the pleasure went straight between her legs, and she didn’t want him to stop.

The ache started to build, just from him touching her breasts.

What the hell was wrong with her?

Tank set her on fire with need, and it wasn’t going to go away. Not that she wanted it to.

No, being here with Tank, in any moment they could share together, she was willing to do whatever it took for these few fleeting minutes in time.

Chapter Eight

They’d been back together for over a week now. Things were good. Perfect. Only they weren’t.

He was keeping the truth from the club.

They didn’t trust Bell, especially after seeing her talking with that Skull Nation prospect. Even though she’d been a victim, they wouldn’t see it like that.

He kept going through every scenario where he came clean because it would be safer for Bell to have the Straight to Hell MC umbrella of protection. Right now, she was just a rat cut loose.

“Can we talk?”

Tank looked up from his logbook. Tarmac stood in front of his desk.

“Yeah. Go ahead.”

Tarmac looked to both sides even though they were the only ones in the office. “I saw that prospect piece-of-shit this morning.”

Tank froze. He dropped his pencil and leaned back in his chair. “Where?”

“Just thought you’d want first go at him since he stole your girlfriend.”

Tank ground his teeth down hard. What did he expect? He’d kept the truth from them.

“Okay. Got it. Where can I find him?”

“You know that shithole apartment near the river? He’s banging some old bitch on the first floor. Shows up there a few times a week. Not just him, either. There are more from Skull Nation. Get your payback quick because I need to let Lord know.”

“Thanks for the heads up.” He nodded to their Road Captain and picked up his pencil again. Only, he couldn’t concentrate.

He could have killed that fucker when he’d met him. Should have. Only he didn’t want to freak out Bell. She was a civilian, and it would have been an end to their already fragile relationship.

Tank didn’t want it getting back to the prez that he’d had the opportunity to eliminate one of their enemies but chose to stand down because of Bell. It would be better for him to confront that biker on his own, make things right. Maybe he’d be able to get some intel out of the little dick to bring back as an offering to Lord. The Skull Nation was becoming a constant topic in church with sightings off and on in the small towns around their compound. It wasn’t good. Tank still remembered their last major encounter when he’d been shot right in the gut.
