“Melissa…” Mark groans. His eyes drift closed as he smiles, tracing his fingers through my hair.

I try to look up at his face, but I guess there’s just something about the first time a girl meets a dick that kinda grabs all her attention.

Lord! To think I wasted all those years at college looking at books! Where was Mark when I needed him?

“I need you, Melissa…” he moans. “Need to…” I think I catch his meaning.

Suddenly mustering more self-control, Mark’s head shakes, and he chuckles softly. “Your first time should be special… not in some sandbox of a beach,” he says, grinding out the last few words as I feel his resolve coming undone, coming all over my face and chest. I gasp and moan with an air of disbelief.

I’ve never seen, felt, or even dreamed of anything so fucking hot, although Mark looks disappointed with himself for losing control. His mouth creases into a satisfied grin as he paints me with one thick rope of his seed after the other, my eyes wide and my hands pumping him furiously. I’m half wondering how one man could produce so much, but wishing this moment could last forever.

I feel another climax shudder through me, Mark’s fingers finding my throbbing hole and clit as his own climax subsides. A river of warm white covers my hands.

My womb is already contracting and expanding, my mind wondering just how good that would feel pulsing inside me. We swoon into each other’s arms and collapse into the sand. Neither of us wants to say or do anything to break this perfect moment of peace together, the daylight lifting the veil on our secret. The incoming tide pushes foam and sand into places I only want Mark to be, as well as his sudden alertness, a signal that our time on the beach is finished.

“I… I gotta get you inside,” Mark rasps, pecking my lips and giving me a mischievous grin as he springs up, lifting me into his arms as if I weigh nothing, sweeping up my T-shirt and torn panties as if they’re precious objects. With a sure step, he walks me slowly back toward the house.

“You never mentioned you had a private beach,” I scold him playfully, wanting to keep the mood fun and light once it dawns on me this is real. No make-believe or daydream fantasies here.

Mark’s deadly serious about him and me, which I’m over the moon about. We know there’ll be problems we each have to face, alone and together, but now’s not the time to dwell on that. His firm hands squeeze me with reassurance. “You never asked,” he quips, adding that he needs to get me inside before the morning water traffic starts.

“Ashamed to be seen with me naked?” I tease him, wondering if Mark’s dislodged a few brain cells as well as orgasms from me. I sound like a moron with my questions and teasing, but he seems to enjoy every second of it now that we’ve broken more than just a little ice between us.

“I’m not sharing you with anyone. I’m not even gonna chance someone seeing what’s mine now,” he says in a matter-of-fact tone.

Hearing him say it like that makes me shiver and snuggle closer into him, burying my face in his downy chest hair. I feel his muscles flex and relax as he makes his way up the path, not even daring to open my eyes until I feel we’re back inside. I smile the smile of the luckiest virgin alive when he passes my room and makes straight for the stairs, heading up to his room to his bed.

“Our room now. You’re bunking with me from now on,” he smirks, cocking a brow when I look up at him, almost daring me not to agree it’s the best idea since me going down to the beach in the dead of night.

I open my mouth to say something, to ask another dumb question, most likely, but he shushes me with a kiss and murmurs that everything will work itself out as he slowly climbs the stairs. The movement of his body and the hypnotic tone of his deep voice, coupled with my postclimax exhaustion, mean I’m literally asleep in his arms by the time he gently lays me on his bed.

“Sleep now,” he commands with a whisper, sealing the order with another kiss that makes me smile—a smile I know I’ll still be wearing when I wake up, and only because I know he’ll be right here when I do.

CHAPTER TEN

Mark

I do sleep, eventually, but only after I watch her long after the sun comes streaming through the windows and only long enough to dream a dream about her so sweet I have to wake up to convince myself any of this could be real.
