“My purse.”

His eyes light up. “Where did we leave it?”

“I think it might be in the living room.” I try to think back to last night, or early this morning, rather, and I can’t remember. “Maybe we left it in the car.”

“Do.” Kiss. “Not.” Kiss. “Move.” Kiss. He climbs off the bed and disappears down the hall.

I miss the heat of his touch immediately, which has me reaching for the covers, pulling them up to my chin. I hear him rummaging around the house, and then his footsteps grow louder as they reach his room. He holds up my purse, and it would be comical if I weren’t so turned on. He’s naked as the day he was born, his hard cock resting against his belly, holding my purse up in the air like a trophy.

“There’s a new small box in there,” I tell him.

He fumbles with my purse, digging around inside for a condom. The funny thing is, I almost didn’t have one either. I stopped at the pharmacy to grab a card for Gloria earlier this week for her birthday. I just happened to walk past the condoms. I wanted to be prepared just in case. I didn’t know if I would need them, but I didn’t want to be in a situation where we needed them and didn’t have them. I guess it worked out.

I see it the minute that he finds the box. His eyes sparkle with mischief, and he drops my purse to the floor. “Were you hoping to get lucky, baby?” he teases.

“I was a girl scout,” I tell him with a straight face. It’s true, I was, but they didn’t teach us to keep condoms on hand.

“Funny girl.” He smiles, tearing open the box, pulling out the three-pack of condoms, and letting the packaging drop to the floor.

“You think you’re going to need all of those?” I ask him.

“Maybe not today, but yeah, we’re going to need them.”

All right then. I watch in fascination as he tears open the small package and slides it over his length. He takes a step toward the bed, and I hold up the covers, allowing him to take it and slide back under the covers. He settles between my thighs, and suddenly all is right in my world.

“Full disclosure?” he asks, smoothing my hair from my face. I nod. “This is going to be quick.”

A slow smile spreads across my face. “They have pills for that,” I tease.

“I might have to look into that.” He kisses me lightly. “I’ve craved the feeling of being inside you since the moment I pulled out the first time. I know me, and I know how bad I want you.” He gives a slight shrug.

“Is this a one-time thing?”

“Hell no.”

I mimic his shrug. “Then it doesn’t matter. I mean, if we need to practice for your stamina, I could get on board with that. You know, taking one for the team and all that.” I can barely contain my laughter, that is until he pushes inside me.

“What’s wrong, babe?” he chides.

I shake my head. “Perfect.”

“You’re perfect.” Bending his head, he presses his lips to mine. All laughter and conversation are lost as we lose ourselves in one another. His lips never leave mine. Not when his hands clasp tightly onto mine, holding them over our heads, and not when I feel my orgasm crash through my body like a hurricane. It’s not until we’re both spent and sated that his lips leave mine.

“You’re incredible, Aspen,” he whispers, his lips next to my ear.

I can’t speak, not yet. He’s stolen my ability to form words, so I do all that I can, and that’s hold him close. My grip is tight, and I can’t help but think that I never want to let him go.

Never.

“This kitchen is insane,” I say about an hour later. I’m sitting on the island in one of his T-shirts while he makes us bacon and eggs for breakfast. “Thank you for making me breakfast. A girl could get used to this.”

He steps to the island and kisses me softly. “Thankfully, you were thinking ahead and picked up some groceries when you bought drinks last night. Otherwise, I’d be feeding you leftover pizza for breakfast.”

“Nothing wrong with pizza for breakfast,” I tell him.

“No. But I like that I’m cooking for you after our first night here.” He plates up our bacon and eggs just as there’s a knock at the door.

Panicked, I look down at my bare legs as I’m in nothing but his T-shirt. “I should go change,” I say, but he stops me.

“No. This is our home, you stay. I’ll see who it is.”

“Conrad, I’m in nothing but your T-shirt. I don’t even have a bra on!” I exclaim.

“Exactly how I want you. Here.” He reaches for his hoodie that he had on yesterday and tosses it to me. “You can put this on too, but don’t move.” He points at me and grins.
