A mischievous look crossed his face. “Is that a no?”

“It’s not a yes.”

“I can work with that.” He extended his hand. “Come dance with me.”

I glanced over my shoulder at Savanna, who looked like she could die happy sandwiched between two giant hockey players. She giggled and touched each of their arms, giving them equal attention. My friend was more adventurous than me. I knew she would end up in bed with both of them—if they were down with it. And they looked more than okay with sharing her.

I called over to Savanna to let her know I was going to dance with Will. She flashed a victorious smile and then went back to flirting with Ethan and Liam.

Will led me toward the opposite end of the balcony where people were grinding on each other like horny teenagers. I’d never danced with anyone other than my ex-husband. Never had sex with anyone but him. But after what he did to me, maybe I deserved a hot hookup with a hockey player.

Will moved behind me, his hands on my hips as we swayed to the beat of the pop mix. I could tell by the way he moved he would be good in bed. My friends used to tell me that a good dancer meant good sex. Sean was an incredible dancer and an even better lover. So if Will’s dance moves were any sign, I was in for one hell of a wild ride.

Rocking my hips to the music, I leaned my head back on Will’s shoulder. He hooked one of his big arms around me, his other hand sliding down my thigh. Every nerve ending in my body came alive, like synapses firing off at once. His touch awakened something locked inside me, a part of me that had been dead for a long time.

He breathed against my neck, holding me tight against his hard chest and even harder cock. I moaned as his lips, then teeth grazed my skin. Feeling every inch of my body, Will’s hand roamed over my curves. We were in public, with a full audience who must have known about Will’s fame. Because girls glared at me like they wanted to rip my eyes out.

He’s mine for tonight.

When the song switched to a rock-rap mix, Will spun me around so we were facing. I hadn’t danced since college, and even that felt like a distant memory after years of living in the real world. But tonight I had no responsibilities. No deadlines to hit or adulting to do.

Will brushed his lips against mine, sticking his tongue out to taste me. He smelled like a mixture of citrus and sweat. His scent drew me closer, made me want to lick every inch of him. I felt like a feral cat when his lips met mine once more.

Feeling adventurous, I allowed my hands to roam, my fingers skating down his rock-hard chest until I found the bulge in his jeans. I cupped him over his pants, and his eyes flickered with heat. He sucked my bottom lip into his mouth, tugging on my flesh with his teeth. I wanted to kiss every inch of him until it chapped my lips.

When our tongues tangled, I melted into him, not the least bit surprised that one kiss made me want more. Desperate to get out of this club so I could feel him moving inside me. My nipples poked through the thin sheen of my top. Will slid his hand up my stomach, pinching the tiny bud between his finger. I moaned into his mouth, practically fucking Will against the railing of the balcony.

As a journalist, I knew better than to allow someone famous to grope me in public. I understood being seen with Will in such a compromising position could have disastrous effects to my career. But he was so good with his tongue and hands, my brain was not functioning properly. All of my good judgment flew right out the window.

Sweat dripped from his forehead and onto mine. We were a mess of limbs and lust, no longer fighting our attraction to one another.

Will shoved my hair behind my ears and clasped the side of my face in his hand. Our eyes met for a split second before he kissed his way down my jaw. The trail of kisses he left seared my skin. Once again, his lips crashed into mine, this time even more intense and possessive than before.

We kissed for a long time before our lips separated. I was breathless by the time I had the sense to shove my skirt down my thighs.

“Want to get out of here?” Will asked.

I nodded.

Chapter Three

WILL

The Present

Hours before the wedding

Our love story began with a lap dance. Sounds romantic, right? Well, technically, it started with a shit ton of alcohol in a crowded nightclub in New York City three years ago. The smoking hot lap dance from a drunken Clarke came a few hours before we said I do.
