As he sat up on one elbow, smiling down at me, he cupped my cheek and ran his thumb gently over me. “My wonderful partner.”

He kissed me again, radiating pleasure and pride. “My sweet sub.”

The next kiss lingered until we were both breathless, and as he released my lips, he rested his forehead against mine. “My exuberant pup.”

Running his fingers over my face, he traced over my lips and around my jaw like he was memorizing me. “I’m going to spend the rest of my life playing with you, pleasuring you, and claiming you.”

“I never imagined having someone like you in my life.” Someone so perfect and who understood me so perfectly.

Like making love to me for the first time in a way I’d never forget. He’d given me a memory that would never fade. Every ache and orgasm were burned into my mind, and I could feel his brand on every inch of me. I belonged to my Master and he belonged to me.

“You made me strong enough to be curious and you’ve been with me every step of the way.” Now it was my turn and I lifted my head to give him a soft kiss. “Thank you for being my strength.”

It was a gift I’d carry with me always…like his love.

Two Months Later

“I just channeled you and told him that he had a strange obsession with my masculinity and it made me uncomfortable.” Payton stood straighter and grinned as I laughed, the loud sound echoing through the building. “He stopped bitching and I think I finally made an impact on him.”

Still laughing, I stopped at the bottom of the stairs and pulled him into my arms. “You were badass, pup.”

Standing up to his father still wasn’t easy but he no longer looked sad and frustrated every time the asshole called, which had definitely become more often lately. It seemed the less shit Payton put up with, the more his father called.

That whole generation was fucking nuts, but with him living two hours away, we didn’t have to deal with him as often as my father showed his head around.

Beaming, Payton gave me a quick kiss and snuggled close, in no hurry to get to work at the bookstore with the way the crazy ladies had been showing up so often lately. They seemed to think we needed constant support and pep talks, and since he was easier to find than me most of the time, he was the lucky person to get their focus.

But for now he smiled as he wiggled closer, sounding happy and content as I ran my finger over the thin chain that served as his collar. “Thank you, Master, but you’re badass too. You’ve got your first customer and you found a kitchen to use to bake the wedding cake. You’re amazing and I’m so proud of you.”

Hmm, maybe.

It still felt weird not to be working with my family every day, but with a bit of therapy under my belt and some space from them, I was starting to see how much better my life had become. I had my boy to love, an interesting new career to focus on, and a plan to hatch because it was definitely time for him to move in.

Yes, I had everything a Dom could want.
