I’ve just finished making myself presentable when the car pulls up to what looks like a beautiful resort.
“Is this where your meeting is?” I ask as the driver opens the door for us.
“It’s also where we’re staying,” Dominick states.
I whip my head around to look at him in shock. “What do you mean, where we’re staying?” I whisper, looking at the resort in a new light. I can’t see beyond the main building, but it screams luxury and wealth, and I could be wrong, but I think I saw this resort listed as one that celebrities stay at when they visit the Dominican Republic. “The airline paid for a hotel near the airport. We could stay there for free.”
Dominick takes my hand in his, and with nothing more than a swift, incredulous look my way, he heads past the valet and into the entrance of the resort.
“Hey,” I say, tugging on his hand. “I spoke to you, which means you respond. Maybe in your business world, people just jump at your command, and you don’t have to converse, but with me, it’s a requirement.”
He stops in place, and for several seconds, he looks at me like I’ve grown two heads. Then, a smile spreads across his face, confusing the hell out of me.
“If you only knew how my world works.” He chuckles. “Keep talking, and I’m going to find a restroom I can fuck you in.”
“Dominick,” I chide, “I’m serious.”
“I know you are, and it’s sexy as hell. Aside from my brother, nobody questions anything I do or say.” He releases my hand and pulls me toward him. “I appreciate you offering the free hotel, but this one is nicer and safer, and it has amenities I fully plan to take advantage of with you later.”
“Like what?”
“For one”—he slides his hand around my backside and tugs me even closer—“our room has a Jacuzzi on the terrace.”
“Oh,” I breathe, imagining him eating me out on the edge of the Jacuzzi.
As if he knows what I’m thinking, his smile widens, and he nods.
“Exactly.” He leans down and kisses me softly. “So, are you okay with staying here? Or are you going to insist we go to the free hotel?”
“Here is good,” I say, making him chuckle.
“Good.” He kisses me again, this time giving my butt cheek a firm squeeze. “Now, let’s get this meeting over with so I can spend the rest of the day focused on you. The only thing getting me through it is knowing when we’re done, I’ll get to see you in one of those bikinis.”
“If you make it quick,” I say, running my fingers through the back of his hair, “I’ll let you see me in all three.”
“Dominick!” an older gentleman says, slapping Dominick on the back with one hand and shaking his hand with the other. “Que bueno verte, mi hermano.”
“Hola, mi amigo,” Dominick says back, shocking me as he speaks fluent Spanish. With his last name being popular in the Russian community, I didn’t peg him for a Spanish speaker. “Que bueno verte a ti también.”
“¿Y por aquí a quien tenemos?” the gentleman responds, glancing at me.
I have no idea what they’re saying, but judging from the way Dominick looks my way as well, I have a feeling they’re talking about me.
Damn it, I should’ve paid better attention in Spanish class.
“Este es una amiguita especial,” Dominick says, pulling me into his side like he’s staking his claim. “Le daré un recorrido privado por tu hermosa isla.”
The gentleman chuckles. “No te preocupes, mi hermano. Te escuché fuerte y claro.”
Dominick nods and then switches to English. “Peyton, this is my longtime business associate and friend, Victor Rosa.”
“It’s nice to meet you,” I say in English since that’s my only option.
“It’s good to meet you,” Victor says, his English a bit broken and his accent heavy but still understandable.
He takes my hand and brings it up to his lips for a kiss, and I still in my spot, a little uncomfortable even though I’m not sure why. I barely know Dominick, yet I let him finger me in a dressing room without thought, but this guy kisses my hand in greeting, and I want to take a hot shower.
As if Dominick can sense my unease, he pulls me into his arms and tips my chin to kiss me on the lips. And this time, there’s no mistaking him making a claim on me.
Victor chuckles. “Shall we go eat? I’m famished.”
The way he says it while looking at me, as if he’d like to eat me for brunch, has me moving closer to Dominick, who doesn’t seem fazed by his business associate’s blatant flirting.
Brunch is delicious. Because I didn’t eat much before work, I’m starved, and I devour my meal while the men discuss business—and Victor thankfully pays no interest in me.
