Her eyes whipped back to mine, and her lips parted in shock. I released her hair to trace them with my index finger. “These were made for kissing,” I murmured. And they would look amazing wrapped around my dick. I kept that little extra bit to myself for now.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed or sorry for, Bethenny. I enjoyed that every bit as much as you, and I don’t regret it.” I gripped her chin between my thumb and forefinger and pinned her with a look that conveyed my expectation to be obeyed. “I don’t want you regretting it either. Is that clear?”

She nodded silently, still looking a little shell-shocked.

“Now, how about we both go get cleaned up, and then we can scrounge up some breakfast.”

“Um...okay.” Her brows drew down, and she frowned. “You want to clean up in my bathroom?” she asked cautiously.

“One step at a time, little one.” I pecked her lips before grinning devilishly. “Besides, if I went in there with you, you’d only get dirtier.”

Her eyes went wide, and her cheeks bloomed with pink again. I loved the way her pale skin showed the slightest blush. I was willing to bet she’d flush with color all the way down to her sweet pussy while I ate it.

I took a deep breath and reluctantly moved her off me. If I didn’t get my thoughts under control and her sex away from my hard-on, I doubted I’d be able to restrain myself for much longer.

Bethenny climbed off the couch, and when she turned to say something, her eyes went to the bulge still straining against my zipper. It was soaked from my come and her juices. “Oh my gosh!” she exclaimed, slapping her hands onto her cheeks. “I can’t believe I ruined your pants!”

“Hey, hey. That’s as much my doing as yours,” I assured her as I stood and pried her hands away from her face. “No regrets.”

“Right. Um, I’ll be right back.”

I nodded and pulled her close for a soft kiss before letting her go and watching her sexy ass sway as she left the room.

Walking over to the entry where I’d dropped my bag, I grabbed it and went searching for another bathroom while whistling the tune to “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

Shit. When I opened my bag, I realized that the snow had soaked nearly everything inside. My two other pairs of jeans were dry, but they were stiff as a board and would be more uncomfortable than the ones I was already wearing. Sighing, I cleaned up inside my pants as much as I could, then shrugged and headed to the kitchen.

I had a mug of steaming chocolate ready for her when she came in looking fresh and adorable in slacks and a crisp blouse. I wondered if she realized just how sexy she looked. I wouldn’t have thought it, but apparently, the naughty librarian look did it for me. Still, I teased, “Planning on going to a business meeting in this weather?” as I gestured to the windows that looked out the back of the house. The snow hadn’t let up since we’d fallen asleep. If anything, the storm had intensified.

She stiffened a little and lifted her chin just a fraction. “I’m the mayor of Winter Falls. I take that position seriously and am always prepared if I’m needed.”

I raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything as I took a sip of my own hot chocolate.

“Thank you,” she said politely when I handed her a mug.

“My pleasure, little one.” I hadn’t meant the words to be filled with sensual promise, but that’s how they came out.

Bethenny’s cheek tinged with pink, and she swallowed hard. “So, um, did you say you had a hotel room in town?”

I frowned, not liking the direction of this conversation. “Yes.”

“Well, I have a snowmobile and could probably get you there if we’re careful. The Winter Falls Hotel is only a few blocks away.”

I didn’t reply because I wasn’t sure how to inform her that I wouldn’t be leaving without her thinking I was insane and tossing my ass out into the blizzard.

Leaning my hip on the counter, I watched her intently, trying to figure out what she was thinking. After finishing my hot chocolate, I folded my arms over my chest and crossed an ankle over the other.

Her eyes dropped at the movement, and she gasped, her brown eyes going wide again. “Didn’t you bring any other clothes?”

I shrugged. “They got wet from walking in the snow. They’re dry now but have settled into rigor mortis. I’ll have to wash them before I can wear them without chafing my skin off.”

She pursed her lips for a second, then she smiled and snapped her fingers. “I have something you can wear!” Her hot chocolate almost spilled in her haste to set it down, then she whirled around and hurried from the room.
