When I got to the landing, only one door was open. To my surprise, soft light and alluring music came from it. I took a cautious step inside. Drew and Tristan sat on opposite sides of a queen-sized bed. Carter leaned against the dresser, smiling. “Welcome.”

“Thanks.” My voice was quiet, but sincere.

“I’m glad you’re finally here,” Carter continued.

“Me, too.”

He cocked his head, looking sexy as hell in his black jeans and a tight black t-shirt. “Can I have my shirt back?”

I smiled. “Not quite yet.” I’d done up the lower buttons but left the top third open. “I like the candles.” Someone had brought up the emergency candles that Tristan had set out last night. I wasn’t eager to replicate too many things from yesterday, but I appreciated the fact that we could see each other without having to use harsh electric lights.

“Is this music okay for you?” Drew asked. Since he was the IT guy, he’d probably been in charge of the sound system—which appeared to be his phone.

“It’s perfect,” I said. It was smooth and instrumental.

A little self-consciously, I sat down at the end of the bed with Drew and Tristan behind me on either side.

Carter closed the door. He didn’t need to—obviously, we were the only ones in the cabin—but it made it feel more intimate. Like we were the only people left on Earth.

He stood in front of me, and I was eye-level with the belt of his jeans. I couldn’t help thinking about yesterday when I’d seen all of him. Somehow, this felt sexier. He wasn’t showing off—he waited for me to be ready.

And I was.

Carter smiled down at me. “I heard a rumor that you’ve recently changed your opinion on kissing.” His voice was low and husky and seemed to travel straight to my core.

“Yes,” I whispered.

“How can you be sure, though, with a sample size of one?” Carter’s voice was seductive. “Maybe you should try again.”

“I’d like that,” I breathed.

He leaned down and put his index finger under my chin, tilting his head up. I closed my eyes as his lips met mine.

Oh my.

My head swam, but my body reacted. My pulse sped up and my nipples hardened as I melted under him. I had to reach my arms back to support myself. Otherwise, I would’ve fallen back onto the bed. But I wasn’t ready for that just yet.

I wondered what the other two thought, watching Carter kiss me. But then conscious thought faded as he deepened the kiss. It felt so damn good. Like a secret connection between us, even though we weren’t alone.

My only regret was that Carter and I had wasted a week tiptoeing around each other when things could’ve been this good.

At last, he tugged at my bottom lip with his teeth and then pulled away. He smiled when he straightened up. “How was that?”

“Good.” I licked my swollen lips and revised my answer. “Really good.”

“I’m glad. How about one more try, for posterity?” He jerked his chin in Drew’s direction, and I nodded. He was the only one I hadn’t kissed. I cringed when I remembered how I’d stopped him from kissing me that night we came together. I’d thought I wouldn’t like it.

I was wrong.

I walked over to the side of the bed where Drew sat, and his eyes lit up. He had on a brown sweater that had always looked so soft to me. I sat down on the edge of the bed next to him and gave into the urge to stroke my fingers down his arm.

Drew cupped my face in his hands, and I wasn’t sure I deserved the way he looked at me—but it made my heart sing anyway. His kiss was soft and less insistent than Carter’s, but it felt just as good. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him close as he took his time exploring my mouth. His hand slid down my body and stroked my bare thigh, sending shivers through me.

When he finally pulled away, I kept my eyes closed for a few seconds more, savoring the magic.

Carter chuckled. “Yep, I think she likes it.”

I smiled as I opened my eyes and found Tristan. “I had a good teacher.”

He reached one hand across the bed, and I had to lean all the way forward to touch my fingers to his.

“Would you like to lie back on the pillows?” he asked.

I nodded, feeling shy again. But maybe I wouldn’t if I wasn’t the only one. “Will you, too?”

“Of course,” Tristan said. “Tonight’s all about you.”

I scooted my way to the middle of the bed, well aware that the movements made the large dress shirt I was wearing bunch up. But then Drew was there, adjusting the pillows behind me. He stretched out beside me and stroked my hair away from my face. Tristan settled in on my other side, reaching a long finger out to trace my lips.
