I stood up (making a disgusted face of my own as I shifted my jeans) and looked at the tag, which read medium. “Those should work.” Usually, I wore a size large, but I wasn’t about to disappoint Sterling. Besides, I could probably stuff myself into them without being too uncomfortable.

“Nice. I’ll show you to the bathroom.”

I followed him through the same hallway he went down before, this time into a room on the opposite side. “The towels are in the cabinet, and you can just put your clothes on the sink; I’ll put them in the washer.”

I couldn’t see a thing he was showing me, so I gently patted the wall until I found the light switch, turning it on as quietly as possible so I wouldn’t draw attention. Then, I made out a shiny white bathroom with a blue fuzzy mat and matching shower curtain.

“Thank you. I’ll be quick.” I knew he’d want to clean up as well. Plus, I just didn’t want to be apart from him for long.

“Take your time.” Sterling started for the door, but paused next to me and pursed his lips. He wasn’t shy about asking for kisses anymore. I pecked his lips and received a gorgeous smile before he left me alone. I had to stop myself from asking him to join me in the shower; I wasn’t sure if he was ready for that yet.

I grabbed a towel from the cabinet and stripped down, placing my clothing on the sink like he asked. I started the water and stepped into the shower, noticing that there weren’t any bottles on the shelves. Instead, there was a dispenser mounted onto the wall which contained green liquid.

I pumped some into my hand and worked up a lather before scrubbing my hair and body. When I was mid-rinse, I heard a knock on the door, followed by a squeak, and Sterling’s voice asking, “Is it okay if I grab your clothes? I’m going to start a load.”

“Sure.”

He added with amusement in his voice, “Don’t worry; I won’t look.”

I snorted a laugh as I finished rinsing, and by the time I stepped out onto the mat, Sterling had left the room. I dried off with the fluffy towel and pulled on the pair of pajama pants he’d loaned me. They were snug, but not to the point of sausage casing, so I went with it.

When I stepped out into the hallway, I saw Sterling walking towards me, wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist. My jaw dropped as I admired his form; his chest and abdomen were slim and tight, and he had just a dusting of hair which ran between his pecs, down his stomach, and behind the towel

Sterling paused his steps and asked, “Are you in the hall?”

“Yeah, I just finished in the bathroom.” I left out the part about drooling over him.

“I thought I heard you come out. I’m going to jump in the shower really quickly if that’s okay.”

“Of course.”

“You can get comfortable in the bedroom if you’d like. The remote is on the bedside table. I’ll be out in just a few minutes.”

“No rush.” I walked into the bedroom and turned on the light. Like the rest of the house, it was plain, but held all of the necessities; a bed dressed in dark blue blankets, a nightstand, and a dresser with a television perched on top.

I grabbed the remote control, which had large buttons with raised up numbers printed on them, and switched on the TV. A robotic voice announced “The Simpsons” when the screen lit up, telling me what show was playing. Just like the movie we saw earlier, the channels were enabled with audio description, narrating what the characters were doing.

Not interested in watching anything in particular, I surfed through channels until I heard the bathroom door open. Then I switched off the screen and replaced the remote where I found it.

I was happy to see Sterling when he entered the room, even though I was disappointed that he was dressed in a pair of gray pajama pants and a t-shirt, which blocked my view of his beautiful body.

“Feel better?” I asked as he stepped closer to the bed.

“Definitely. That stuff sets up like concrete.”

I chuckled and asked, “What side of the bed do you like to sleep on?”

“Honestly, I just flop down in the center,” he shrugged.

“Good, that means you’ll be closer to me. I’ll take the right side if that’s okay?”

He nodded and I pulled down the covers and settled in. Sterling sat down on the left side of the bed and scooted over until our sides touched. When his arm brushed against me, he said, “Oh, I’m sorry; I forgot to give you a t-shirt.”

“I’m fine like this unless you’d rather I put one on.”
