“You’re right. I’ll take that ride. Let me say goodbye to everyone, and we can head out?” She hides her yawn with the back of her hand.
“Baby girl, everyone has dispersed. Grab your bag. You can text them in the car.” I slide my hand down the outside of her arm, noticing her flesh pebbles in my wake. My fingers graze hers, slipping between them, and we’re palm to palm as I guide her to the couch for her purse.
“I’m going to do that. I also have a thing or two to say about their scheming ways.” My lips tip up in a smirk. Shaelynn Parker is feisty, and I can’t wait to see more of it unfold.
“Don’t be too hard on them. They’re all either engaged, married, pregnant, or on their way to becoming the latter. They also have Momma Catherine on their side, Lennie’s mom. She’s down here from Wyoming a lot more lately. She also believes everyone should be happy with their person by their side. Lennie has somehow taken the reins, and I think between her and Lyric, they’re in on it together,” I throw them both under the bus.
“I see. Well, my sister, Coralynn, will fit right in, and considering Lyric’s helping with LITHE for the next couple of weeks, she’ll no doubt help with her instigating ways. I’m actually kind of scared to go in next week.” Shae bends over to grab her purse, putting her ass in the perfect position for me to think about taking her from behind. The yoga she instructs along with the other classes has me thinking she could probably stay in that position, hands flat on the floor while I fuck my way inside of what I’m sure is the hottest pussy ever.
“Damn it,” she mutters when her purse drops to the floor from its place on the couch. She bends down further, and a hiss of pain leaves her throat.
“I’ve got it. There’s no reason for you to hurt yourself when I’m right here. Your meds in here?” I gather the contents that fell out—a couple of pads, her house keys, and a pen.
“Yeah, I’ve been off the hard stuff and taking ibuprofen but brought the prescription, too, and I think I might need to take half of it. I went too long without anything at all.” I go to hand her the bag when I notice she’s holding her lower abdomen.
“Do you mind?” I ask. Shae shakes her head. I riffle through her purse; it’s big and only has one snap. Everything is thrown in haphazardly. Still, I’m able to find the medicine right away. I pop the top, she opens her hand, and I shake a pill out. “I think a full one might be in order.”
“I think you’re right.” She tosses the pill back. Her other hand holds a bottle of water, and she twists the top, brings it to her mouth, and guzzles it down. Unfortunately, watching her throat work has me conjuring up more than my fair share of fantasies.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. You okay to walk?” I see her blanch at the thought of having to be carted out of here. I’m pretty sure she’d power through the pain in order to not be carried.
“Yes, it’s not that bad. Though, the whole pill might make me tired, so we better go.” She holds her hand out for her purse, but instead of handing it to her, I place my hand in hers. A soft smile tugs at her sensuous lips. Soon, my mouth will be on hers, hopefully by the end of the day.
“Sleep as much as you need,” I suggest, walking her out of the house and down the porch steps. It’s not until I’m opening the door to my car for Shae that I see the movement in the window. Lennie’s shadow is there for only a moment before she’s gone in the blink of an eye. Asher is going to have his hands full keeping her busy until the babies are born, that’s for sure.

Iwatch as Luke rounds the front of his vehicle. The sleek Lexus is all class with a whole lot of luxury, in which I’m currently melting into the soft and supple leather seats. It’s either that, or the medicine is hitting me a lot faster than it ever has before. The sun is more than likely playing a part in it, plus being out and about longer than I have in the past few days will surely have me falling asleep.
I’d do it all over again to have more time with Luke, and while at the beginning, he was sending mixed signals, it seems now he’s not. It’d be kind of hard to deny the desire we both share between each other.
“Everything good?” he asks, opening the door. He’s still carrying my purse without a care in the world. I’d almost been embarrassed when my bag took a tumble, and my feminine products fell by my feet. He scooped them up without a word or a chuckle. I should have known; he’s a doctor. He’s also not a pubescent teenage boy. These things are part of life, and I can’t wait to have a normal menstrual cycle and not pack so many damn products. Luke places my bag in the back, behind my seat. His tank does nothing to cover the muscles of his arms that are covered in tattoos, making warmth spread inside my stomach.
