“Fuck, baby. Shit. Just like that.” He was hovering above me on his knees, and his eyes were low as he watched me suck him off. “Greedy girl and her wet ass pussy.”

Whimpering, my eyes rolled back as I tightened around his fingers. I was getting ready to come up for air again and beg him to fuck me when someone started pounding on his bedroom door as if they were seconds from knocking it down.

“Ocean! Ocean, open up! I know she’s in there!”

What. The. Fuck? I quickly released him from my mouth, my gaze bouncing between him and the door as I angrily swiped the back of my hand over my mouth. I almost spat in that bastard’s face until I remembered that, though he wasn’t loud about it, the man was crazy as fuck.

Ocean, on the other hand, didn’t seem bothered by the demanding knocks and instead sucked his teeth and tried to stick his dick back in my mouth. I felt so damn stupid for even trusting him enough to let that thing get anywhere near. He tapped my lips with it, and I snapped my teeth at him. “Stop fucking playing with me. Why did you stop?”

“You don’t hear that?”

“Ignore it, mo aingeal. She’ll go away.”

She? My stomach sank at the confirmation of another woman. I knew this no-good-cheating-slime-ball-bucket-head-ass bastard was too good to be true. I scrambled to sit up, fighting off the tangle of blankets and sheets as I threw myself at him.

“What the—Coby, stop!” he screamed when I bit his ass. I was still locked on like a pitbull when he managed to stand from the bed with me wrapped around him. He tried to pry me off him, but I just bit down harder. “Ahhh shit! Coby, I think you drawing blood!”

Suddenly, my head was yanked back with such force that it blinded me. I was tossed away, landing on the bed a little too hard and bouncing off over the other side. I tasted blood when I hit the floor, but I knew it wasn’t mine.

When I stood, Ocean was clutching his shoulder. When he pulled his hand away to inspect his palm, it was covered in crimson. “Tugaimid onóir don fhuil1.” His eyes rose to meet mine. “That’s the second time you’ve made me bleed, mo aingeal. Keep it up, and I’ll return the favor.”

“Did you just threaten me?”

“I would never hurt you, but you’re killing me, sweet girl. Don’t look at me like that. It ain’t what you think.”

I ignored the prickling in my eyes and the insistent knocks and forced myself to meet his gaze. “What the fuck do I think, Ocean?”

He traveled around the bed, devotion carved into his beautiful face as his fingers made a collar around my throat. “That it’s someone I’m fucking. I don’t want to fuck anyone but you.”

The pounding on the door grew louder. “You can’t hide her forever. Let us in!” another squeaking voice demanded.

“Shut your lying ass up,” I grumbled and pushed away from Ocean when I remembered that I was naked and about to be jumped. I couldn’t fight for shit, so this was bad.

Huffing, I grabbed my new bamboo robe. It was another gorgeous gift Ocean provided, like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat, after I admitted the reason I stopped sleeping in my bed. Because baby moths died so that my bedsheets could be pretty. Ocean bought me the robe as an apology for the oversight, but made no attempt to address the sheets. Every morning, I peeked inside my girly and gorgeous room after the maids were done cleaning and changing the bed, only to find that the sheets had returned.

I quickly pulled on my robe and tied the sash tightly. “How did they even get in here? Shouldn’t you have guards or something?”

Now that I was covered up, Ocean ignored me and stalked to the door. He snatched it open, but only enough to speak to the callers without them seeing me.

Hmm…definitely suspicious.

“What the fuck do you two want?”

Um…okay.

Ocean had doted on me so much, I’d almost forgotten how cold he could be.

Whoever was on the other side of the door responded, but they spoke too low for me to hear what was said.

“So your nosy asses couldn’t wait until family dinner?” he returned with a teasing note to his voice. “I was about to get some pussy.”

My face became red hot. “No, you weren’t!” I yelled at his back.

“First of all, ew,” one of the voices on the other side said. “Second of all, move out of the way, fool.”

Ocean was grinning when he stepped back in time to keep from getting smacked in the face with the door as it was shoved open. Two women with perfect hair and makeup and dripping in designer clothing strutted inside on a cloud of perfume and old money. They sure as hell didn’t look like they came to brawl, so I felt myself relaxing a little while keeping my guard up as I eyed the mysterious women warily.
