“It’s beautiful.”

“Really?”

He drags his thumb along my crack, making me tense. “I could stare at it all day.” He grips each side tight, and I feel his tip prod my opening, still swollen and sensitive.

And so wet.

I close my eyes as he pushes into me, overwhelmed by his size from this angle. I take him in quickly enough, though.

His phone chirps. “Shit … you took too long in the shower.” He pushes my chest against the mattress and hikes my ass up higher in the air.

“What do you mean? Is Connor on his way—” My words are cut off with a cry as he thrusts into me at that same relentless pace as the other night, just before he came.

I don’t fight the sounds that slip from my mouth this time, fisting the covers, his skin slapping against mine, a repetitive and tawdry sound. It’s almost unbearable, my mind torn between the odd pleasurable pain he’s delivering and worry that my brother’s going to walk in. It’s distracting enough that my orgasm catches me by surprise, just as Ronan’s pulsing deep inside me with his own.

My muscles barely have time to stop constricting around him when he abruptly pulls out. He leaves, clicking my bedroom door shut behind him.

Disappointment doesn’t even have time to settle in before I hear Connor hollering at the door for Ronan to give him a hand unloading the car.

My heart is still racing. That was so close.

I press my lips together to keep from laughing.

What the hell are we doing?

And why am I enjoying this so much?

21. Ronan

Ihold my ground at the bar as I savor my last drink. It’s almost one. Connor no longer requires my services of wingman based on how far down that woman’s throat his tongue is, and I’m doing my best to avoid her friends, one of whom can’t keep her hands off me. She’s beautiful, I’ll give her that. But she’s drunk and obnoxious.

And she’s not Ryan.

I chuckle at myself as I think of that smash-and-dash earlier. World record, I think. At least for me. I haven’t come that fast inside a woman since my first time in one. But it was fun, all the same. Even more fun was hoisting Ryan onto the top of her dresser. A thousand bucks says she’s never had a guy do that before. It only took ten seconds for her to let go of her apprehension and enjoy it. I can still feel her fingertips against my scalp.

“You work at Wolf, don’t you?”

The feminine purr in my ear catches me off guard mid sip. More unexpected is the face I find next to me.

It’s the girl David cheated with. I can’t remember her name. Don’t care to. “I do.” A quick scan around us turns up empty for her new boyfriend. “You here alone?”

“Oh, no. My friends are over there … somewhere.” She gestures behind her into the sea of faces, casually flipping her hair. “I’m Eliza. You’re Ronan, right?”

“Right.” I hide my smile through a sip. Eliza isn’t at all subtle—not that I didn’t pick up on her interest in the hallway. Is this how she swooped in on David and convinced him to abandon a year-and-a-half relationship?

“So … what are you doing here?” she asks, prodding the conversation along.

I rattle the ice in my glass in answer.

“Well, yeah, obviously.” She giggles. “I mean, why are you alone?”

“I’m not. My friend is …” She follows my pointed finger to the corner where Connor has his arm around his conquest to not-so-discreetly hide the fact that his other hand is under her skirt. “Preoccupied.”

Eliza’s mouth gapes. “Wow, I guess what they say about you crew guys isn’t far off.”

“Connor’s a special breed.”

She peels her focus away from them, her blue eyes sparkling when they return to me. “Is it true he’s leaving for the Alaska Wolf?”

“Yup. So am I.” It still doesn’t feel real.

“You are?” She pouts. “But you just started in Miami, like, yesterday!”

A bit of an exaggeration, but it does feel like it. “You know quite a bit about me.” I’m no idiot. She’s as good as mine if I want her. But the last thing I’d want to do is hurt Ryan. In fact, I wish I’d left an hour ago, so I could get home and tug off that crab-faced T-shirt she loves to sleep in and pick up where we left off.

Her cheeks pink. “Not enough. Like, why did you transfer down here only to turn around and go to Alaska?”

“What can I say but my roommate’s persuasive?” One of my roommates. The other one is probably lying in bed, overthinking her life decisions in part because of this woman who is angling to hook up with me. “Aren’t you dating David from accounting?”

“Oh! That’s new. I mean …” She’s flustered. “It’s not serious.”
