My eyes rolled back and I called out his name as my dick jerked hard, and warm cum burst against his tongue. He swallowed what I gave him before milking every drop from me with his lips and swiping it away with his tongue.

My brain was fried and my body was heavy with satisfaction, but before I relished the pleasure Talon gave me, I wanted to do the same for him. I wrapped my lips around his cock once more and bobbed my head even faster than before. I licked his salty skin and sucked with everything I had.

“Oh god, Brandon,” Talon moaned, pushing me to go harder. “Brandon!” With no more warning, Talon’s cock exploded, filling my mouth with his tangy seed. I swallowed it greedily, taking it inside my body.

I rested my head on his thigh as I tried to catch my breath, but Talon reached down and scooped me up by the armpits, repositioning me so that I lay by his side with my head on his shoulder. I took off my glasses and placed them on the floor so that I could snuggle closer to him more comfortably.

“That was incredible,” I whispered, nuzzling my face into his chest. It seemed as if I’d used the word endlessly since he arrived, but there was no other way to encapsulate the feeling he gave me.

“You’re incredible, sweetheart. I’m so thankful I found you.”

“To be fair, I kind of found you,” I pointed out, making him chuckle.

I yelped when he rolled on top of me without warning, pinning my arms to the floor. “What’s important is that you’re mine.” He leaned in and gently bit my throat again, giving me another shiver. If he hadn’t just sucked all of my energy out of my dick, I’d be ready to go again.

When Talon lifted his head, he looked at me expectantly until I replied, “I’m yours.” Then he kissed me slowly and deeply until I was dizzy before rolling off of me and snuggling me close once more.

“Why don’t we take a nap before dinner?” he suggested through a yawn.

I hadn’t napped in ages, but it did sound pretty perfect, so I nodded and wiggled deeper into his hold. A wide yawn took my lips as peace and happiness settled over me and took me off to sleep.

Chapter Four

Talon

I could barely contain my excitement as I sat in the passenger seat of Brandon’s car as he drove us towards the lodge, where he’d agreed to live with me. Well, technically he didn’t agree to live with me; rather, in his own room and even that was partly out of necessity since he had nowhere else to go, but those were just details. Once he saw the place and our bond continued to grow, I knew things would work themselves out.

It was obvious that Brandon already felt the connection between us; otherwise, he probably wouldn’t have given me a second chance. Well, third chance if you counted me trying to get a random man to pick a fight with him, which I didn’t. Brandon didn’t need to know about that.

Things were going great between us, from him opening up about his art and his life, to our explosive sexual experience. I only saw one small hiccup that could stand in the way of our happily ever after; I still needed to tell him that I was a shifter.

And I needed to do it soon; when I was loving on his body, my lion was roaring at me to take and claim him as my own. But I couldn’t bind Brandon to me without him knowing the truth and gaining his agreement. Not only was it deceitful and just plain wrong, Hunter made me promise.

But it was easier said than done. Brandon was so perfect, and I craved him with everything inside me. I tried to appease my urges by biting him gently and proclaiming aloud that he was mine, but it would only soothe my beast for so long. By my calculations, I had about two days before my animal instincts would take over and demand my rightful mate.

But then again, I’d always sucked at math and my calculations could be shit. I may have less time than I assumed, so I needed to move quickly and hope for the best. My mate was nervous and sweet, and needed a gentle approach, which wasn’t my strong suit. I had to trust our bond and press forward.

“Turn here,” I instructed Brandon, pointing to a dirt path that branched off of the main street. “It will be a little bumpy.” We never paved the road to the lodge because we didn’t want to encourage visitors. We were private and territorial, and didn’t want people snooping around, especially when we were patrolling the grounds in our animal forms.
