Eden didn’t even know about it, but Maeve helped her pick out a dress. She was advised to wear a knee-length one, a pair of flats, and before she could say otherwise, Maeve did her hair and makeup. This was her sister taking it easy, but it was hard for her not to touch makeup or do something with hair.

Razor arrived at exactly seven at night, and he was dressed in his leather cut, a pair of jeans, and a flannel shirt, which seemed so out of character for him. Also, his thick, black hair was slicked back.

He had his bike, and Eden didn’t know if it was even going to be safe to ride, not that she was making excuses, because she would never do that.

Razor took control, and she was on the back of his bike, her dress secured between her thighs, and she wrapped her arms around him as he rode out from her driveway. Maeve had already wished them a good night, and they headed into town.

The main parking lot for the town had several cars in it, and she knew that had to be for this dance event.

He parked, took her hand, and they walked together toward the town hall. She saw the lights were on, the doors were open, and as they made their way inside, she spotted couples.

Now she understood a little more what Razor had meant when he said this wasn’t for the dating scene. The people she saw were all couples—married couples, or longtime relationship couples. She and Razor were the odd two, seeing as their relationship had only just started.

He didn’t let go of her hand, and no one turned on them, telling them they had to get out, so that was a bonus.

Across the dance floor, she spotted the large table laden with snacks and party food. There was also another table in the opposite corner with beers and boxed wine, as well as sodas. The lights were still aglow.

Eden kept to Razor’s side, and she couldn’t help but wonder if someone would come and attempt to kick them out because they were not a longtime couple.

“You want a soda?” Razor asked.

“Yes.”

They made their way toward the drinks, and he grabbed two cans of orange soda, opening one and passing it to her. She took a sip. She was not a big soda lover, but she didn’t like drinking beer or wine.

“Maeve told me this is where our parents came for date night.”

“It is?”

“Yeah. I’m surprised because I had never even heard of it.” She smiled up at him. She took another sip of the soda, and she had nearly finished the whole thing when the lights dimmed and a party ball came on, then the lights seemed to shimmer. Razor scrunched up his soda can and tossed it in the trash, took hers and did the same.

He grabbed her hand as the music started, and Eden knew it was a country song. Everyone lined up, and she had feeling they were about to do some line dancing. She hadn’t done this since she was a kid in high school.

Eden was nervous, but Razor didn’t let go of her hand. “I don’t know the moves,” she said.

“Honey, barely any of us know the moves, you just keep moving. Trust me, this is only to get people moving and have fun. Loosen up those muscles.”

She recognized Tabitha, who was married to Archie. Tabitha owned the florist shop, while Archie was an electrician.

It was hard to stay tense for too long. It was a lot of fun, attempting to keep up with everyone. She didn’t know how long they were line dancing, but it did break up and people started to dance in couples.

Razor took the lead, and the songs went from slow to speedy and she needed to keep up with him. She loved it.

There was not a moment she didn’t stop laughing. It felt so good to relax and have fun. She also noticed the way Razor kept touching her. He would pull her close and his fingers would stroke the base of her back, or he’d touch her hands. She loved his hands on her.

On the more active dances, he would bring her in close so her back was against him, but she’d feel the hard ridge of his cock as it pressed against her back, and she relished every second of his touch.

When they needed some food, they would step off the dance floor. No one argued. If people bumped into one another, there was an apology, a laugh, and a giggle.

By the end of the night, which was only ten o’clock, it was time to leave, and Eden slid her arm into Razor’s as they made their way out into the night.

“How did you know about this place?” she asked.
