Like, the rich hot man falling madly in love with the simple girl who works for a temp agency and has no real clue what she’s doing with her life.

Tears springs to my eyes when I see Ollie pull into the parking lot like a bat out of hell. She stops right in front of me, and I hop in.

“You didn’t respond to my text,” I say when I jump in.

“Responding takes time, and you said I need you now!” she points out. True. She got here crazy fast.

“Where is Jason?”

“He’s in a meeting. I was napping.”

“Take me to that bank next to the diner on Fifth.”

“Watermark Bank?” I nod as she takes off out of the parking lot. “You going to tell me what the heck is going on?”

“Jason know you left?” I wipe the few tears that escaped from my eyes, asking my own question first. I know I’m on borrowed time at this point. As soon as Archer finds out I’m gone, he’ll be looking for me.

“No, I just grabbed my purse and took off. I was worried, and he’s where I was going anyway.”

“Archer and Jason are together?” I glance back toward the building.

“Yeah. Jason went into the office today.”

“He got one of those hot assistants too?”

“Wait, what?” She grips the steering wheel tighter.

“Archer has this superhot assistant and—”

“Nope. No. I don’t believe that man did anything with her. He is in love with you. Jason would kill him and already know if Archer has been sticking it to his assistant.” Ollie is quick to shut that all down. “Do I need to turn this car around?”

“No, I don’t think he’s sleeping with her, but she did give me a folder on some questionable things. Did you know Jason and Archer want to buy my grandfather's property?”

“No.” She shakes her head, rolling to a stop at a light. “I guess it’s right next door. That might not be a crazy reach.”

“I think my grandfather left it all to me.” Ollie slowly turns her head towards me, her eyes wide.

“That doesn’t mean….” She trails off. “I mean, it could be a coincidence.”

“Why not tell me then? There are emails dated back to before I met Archer.”

“And he never said a word?”

“He didn’t even tell me it’s going to me, and he knew. He’s known from the start!” I shout. “Light’s green,” I add.

“Shit.” Ollie pushes on the gas, taking off.

“Oh, did I mention I'm married to William Tate? Because that was in the folder too. So Archer knew about that as well.” This is all freaking nuts.

“What!?!” Ollie screams.

“Don’t be mad that I got married before you,” I say dryly.

“I’m going to murder all of them. My own husband included.” She growls out the last part, pulling into the bank.

“Let's go get our own answers since the men we love clearly can’t tell us for themselves.” I try to keep it together. To act as though I’m tough, but it’s only seconds before I burst into tears.

Archer

“She what?” Jason holds the phone to his ear. We’re in one of the conference rooms going over some plans with Brenda, our surveying engineer. I had a few things I needed to go over with Jason. Mainly about Savannah's family land, but while he was here I pulled him in to talk with Brenda for a second.

“Everything okay?” I ask. I already know it’s not. I can read Jason’s mood easily.

“You let her leave!” he shouts into the phone. “I’ve got to go.” I don’t have to ask him who he’s talking about because I know there’s only one person that can get that sort of reaction from him: Olivia.

I follow Jason out of the room fighting a chuckle that his woman gave him the slip again. I almost choke on it as I pass my own office and see the door open and realize Savannah is nowhere in sight.

“Where is she?” I bark louder than I mean to.

“Who?” Felicity asks dumbly even though she’s anything but that. Or maybe I’m wrong on that front after all, I think to myself as I take in her demeanor.

“Don’t make me ask again.” I slam my hand down on her desk. She’s been pushing it lately. Getting short with me along with a few other things. The looks she gives Savannah haven’t gone unnoticed by me either. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think she’s itching for a fight with me.

“She left. Took off.”

“They’re together,” I shout after Jason, who is already headed for the stairs, not even bothering with the elevator. I point at Felicity. “If you had something to do with this, you better pack your shit.”

“Sir?”

“You heard me.” I cut her off before I’m hot on Jason’s heels, pulling out my own phone to try to call Savannah. It rings and rings, but she never picks up. “I’m tracking her,” I tell Jason who too has his phone out.
