“Thanks.” I give them a wave before backing the rest of the way out of Jason’s office. I head back toward Jason’s place, remembering the stairs he mentioned and realizing that Archer’s room is actually above Jason’s.

I debate letting myself in the same way Ollie had done with Jason. Archer has made it clear that he wants something between us. I feel like that gives me a free pass to let myself into his space. Plus he said he belonged to me.

I’m still not sure why the marriage thing freaked him out so much. Especially with how he joked about it. Saying I could marry him and then we could force him out of working around here.

I guess that was a joke. Me saying I was saving myself for marriage could have been serious. I’m sure he thinks it’s likely true too since I’m still a virgin at my age.

All thoughts leave my head when I hear a grunt come from the other side of the door when I finally make it there. I know that grunt. I heard it in my ear this morning. It grows quiet for a long moment before I hear it again.

I grab the door handle and begin turning it, but it’s locked. “What the hell?! You better be alone in there, Archer!” I bang on the door, surprised at my own anger. Gosh, Archer can get me worked up like no one else can. The thought of him being in there with someone else has me seeing red.

“No one is allowed in my room. Not even Jason,” he says as the door flies open to reveal a bare-chested Archer. The only thing he has on is a pair of gray sweats. Why does he have to be so damn hot?

“Oh.” My face heats. I’m not sure if it’s over his body or that I was beating on his door like a jealous girlfriend thinking he was up to something.

“Oh?” He smirks.

“Were you working out?” The man is so big he fills up the whole doorway. I can’t stop my eyes from roaming over every hard inch of him. I lick my suddenly dry lips.

“No.”

“You weren’t?” Don’t look down. Don’t look down, I chant over and over again in my head, but before I know it, I’m glancing down. There is no missing the hard outline in his sweats. I take a deep breath trying to get myself under control. “Then what were you doing?”

“Jacking off to thoughts of you.”

“Ollie said a lot of people do that when it comes to me,” I blurt out. I want to stick my foot in my mouth as soon as the words leave it. I really need to think before I speak.

“The fuck you say?” That smirk drops from his face.

“I can’t control who jacks off to thoughts of me.” I throw my hands up.

Oh my gosh, I need to stop talking. Archer’s jaw flexes. I’m making this worse. I’m also getting more turned on by the second about how mad he’s getting thinking that people might be jacking off with me on their minds.

“I’m teasing. It’s a joke between Ollie and me. No one is jacking off to me,” I rush to get out. “I mean, I don’t know that for sure. I mean except for you. You’re doing it.” I press my thighs together, my mind finally registering the fact that he was touching himself and thinking about me. “Can I ask you something?” I lean in closer to him.

“What?” he grits out. This whole angry vibe he’s got going on is working for me.

“What were you thinking about while you were...” I motion to his hard-on. “Was it about you going downtown on me? 'Cause I’ve been thinking about that all day.”

What is wrong with me?! Why did I say downtown? I’m going to murder Ollie the next time I see her. Okay, get it together, Vee! Be sexy, I tell myself. Archer closes his eyes, taking a long deep breath. I lift my chin. I can do this. I can say the words out loud.

“Archer.” I try again. “Would you please lick my vagina?”

I did not say vagina! Okay, I’m leaving now to go hide or maybe move to a new state. One of the two. Archer’s eyes snap open before I can make my move to leave like he could sense that I was about to flee. His eyes are darker than I’ve ever seen them before. I lift my foot to take a step back. It’s the wrong thing to do. Or maybe it was the right thing.

He pounces on me.

Archer

She thought for a second about running. Every primal instinct I had came rushing forward in that split second right along with her. I’ve been trained to hunt, and I know there is nowhere in the world she could hide that I wouldn’t find her.
