“Absolutely,” Walker replied. “January first is otherwise known as pizza day, so…”

A collective groan of approval rang out, and I swore my mouth fucking watered. Fuck yes, pizza was exactly what we needed today.

I didn’t know if all Floridians did this, but I really appreciated the freezer Ty kept full of ice in his garage.

We left the house after I’d filled a cooler, because Ty and I were gonna find privacy on his boat. He brought an umbrella on board and hooked up a fan, and I grabbed sheets and pillows from below to turn the sunbed into our cozy hideout. Then I headed downstairs again to get some essentials. Ice-cold sodas, potato chips, and the Poire Williams ganache treat I’d made for Ty yesterday.

Dark chocolate, heavy cream, and pear-flavored liqueur on the stove made for a thick, creamy chocolate cake filling that’d given me the best New Year’s sex ever. I’d made it as a surprise for Ty after he’d told me about it and, yeah, brilliant idea on my part. Half the container was already gone.

“Oh wow, that fan has some kick to it.” I was impressed. Since it was kinda small, I hadn’t expected much, but aimed directly at the sunbed, it definitely did its job.

I stripped off my clothes and snuck between the thin sheets, and I stretched out comfortably.

Ty smiled a little and adjusted the umbrella above us to cover almost the entire sunbed.

Soon enough, we were both snuggled up against each other under the sheet, and I kissed him—and promptly reeled back.

“How can I already taste pear and chocolate? I just brought it up here!”

He grinned and kissed me hard. “I’m a ninja for that shit.”

Clearly. I laughed and kissed him back.

That was one of my favorite memories from this trip, when he told me about the one thing that triggered his sweet tooth. Otherwise, he wasn’t much for sweets. But the ganache filling his mom made—he was obsessed with that one.

“Sadly, she only makes it when I’m sick.”

As the humor faded, I hummed and let a river of sleepy contentment wash over me. It was a perfect make-out session, lazy and unhurried and full of cuddles. He teased his tongue with mine and gave my ass a slow squeeze, and I hitched a leg over his hip and ran my fingers absently up and down his back.

He shuddered and broke the kiss to press his lips to my forehead.

I don’t wanna go home.

I don’t wanna go home.

Let me stay here forever.

Right here, in this bubble.

Kit, Colt, and Lucas came to mind. I’d heard “their story” this trip, and how they’d just known after a weekend together that they had something worth building on. Colt and Lucas had already been together for like nine years or something, and then they’d met Kit. One weekend. Two days. Then they’d gone all in. Of course, their relationship was still evolving, as it always would, but still. Two fucking days.

I wasn’t brave enough to listen to my gut feeling after a week, but I could admit one thing.

Ty was someone I could fall for.

Easily.

Close wasn’t close enough, I loved hearing him talk, our chemistry was off the charts, and we were passionate about similar things. I just wanted to be near him. I wanted to fuse myself to him and never let go.

I wanted to serve him.

Perhaps it was a good thing that part of BDSM wasn’t for him. That would’ve made things even more difficult tomorrow. He was already too good to be true. He’d proven himself as a primal Top on the island; he took all the precautions he could, while trusting me to know what I could handle. Then the aftercare…? I’d bawled like a fucking baby, losing fifty pounds of tension in the process, and he’d held me and distracted me with downloaded documentaries he kept on his laptop.

“I hope Macklin and Walker go shopping for hours.” I left a trail of kisses down Ty’s neck and felt his sleepy grin on my shoulder. “We should get away from the dock so no one can find us. Maybe lower the anchor between a couple secret islands.”

“Don’t tempt me,” he chuckled quietly. “If I hadn’t needed to refuel…”

We’d be out of here?

Ugh, I was trying to get him to let me pay for fuel, but he’d been practically offended the times I’d hinted at it. Reese and Colt had received similar responses.

Last night before we left Marco Island, Ty had mentioned that he had enough to make a trip to the…whatever you called a gas station for boats…and that was it. So no outings today.

“You were gonna show me photos of your snakes.” He changed the subject.

“I will not resort to dick jokes,” I told myself, much to his amusement. Then I grinned cheekily and reached for my phone next to the cooler. “Okay, you’ve opened Pandora’s box here now. There’s no going back. Brace yourself for a long ramble.” I got comfortable on my back and immediately went to my album reserved for my reptiles. It included hundreds of photos of lizards and snakes I’d had in the past too. “By the way, who’s taking care of Tank when you’re in Florida?” I asked.
