“Okay.”
We eat in silence for a few minutes. I polish off three slices. She finishes the one.
“Would you like another piece, princess?”
“No, Daddy. I’m full.”
I take her plate and set it on the coffee table before handing her the sippy cup. “Drink some water, Little one.”
She does as she’s told while I lean back and watch her.
When she’s finished, I set her cup on the table, noticing how she starts wringing her hands again.
I set my hand over both of hers, making her instantly calm. “You feel more relaxed when I’m touching you, don’t you.”
She nods.
“Would you like to sit closer to me?”
She nods again. She’s hesitant though.
I need to remember she has no experience with men or dating. My lips were the first ones to touch hers. “Would you like to sit on my lap?”
“Could I?”
“Of course. I would love that.” I scoop her up and settle her sideways on my lap, resting one hand against her lower back and the other over hers on her thighs.
She smiles.
“First rule. I need you to always tell Daddy when you like or don’t like something. I can’t read your mind. I don’t want you to ever feel uncomfortable or stressed. My job is to make sure you have the least anxiety possible.”
“Okay.”
“Now, let’s go back to your age range preference. I know you’ve been playing at about five, but would you like to experiment with other ages, princess?” I want to bring this subject back up because she hedged.
She meets my gaze and bites her lip.
“I noticed you don’t have any pacifiers. Do you usually suck your thumb at night?”
“Uh huh.”
“Maybe you’d like to try a paci. They make really nice pacifiers for adult mouths that will also protect your teeth. You might find they help soothe you when you’re stressed.”
“I’d like to try, Daddy.”
I’m onto something. She might benefit from some younger care. Perhaps not always but some of the time. I’ll introduce her to more later.
“More questions,” I tell her. “You were very hesitant about me touching you last night, and I noticed you didn’t hug your mom this morning. I bet you don’t ordinarily like to be touched.”
“Not usually, but I like it when you do it.” Her pretty cheeks pinken.
I rub her back. “I noticed that too, princess.”
“Is that weird?”
“Nothing about you is weird. I want you to stop saying that. You’re not weird, nor are any of your thoughts, feelings, or actions. Everyone has their own idiosyncrasies, Little one. You don’t need to be like anyone else. You’re just you, and you’re perfect just the way you are. Got it?”
She gives a definitive nod. “Yes.”
“Good girl.”
Her smile grows a mile when I call her my good girl. Noted. She snuggles against me deeper. I’m going to die before this night is over. My heart can’t take it.
She is so very mine in every way. I must rein in my feelings before I send her into a panic.
“I will always do my best to make sure you’re comfortable in every environment. That means it’s my job to make sure people don’t swarm around and try to touch you.”
“I don’t like to be rude. Melissa says I should touch people.”
“Who’s Melissa?” I furrow my brow, trying to think if she’s someone at the Dungeon.
“My counselor.”
“Ah. Well, Melissa is right. It is good for you to shake people’s hands if they offer it or do your best to return a hug, but when I’m with you, I will work hard to keep those things from happening in the first place to alleviate your stress.”
She throws her arms around me and hugs my neck so tight.
I wrap my arms around her and rub her back, inhaling her sweet scent. I nuzzle her neck, loving the way she shivers and the soft purr that escapes her lips.
When she finally releases her tight grip to lean back, she kisses me.
My God, she’s precious. I return her kiss with equal enthusiasm, not wanting to get carried away but making sure her emotions are reciprocated. I love kissing her. It will never be a hardship.
“I like kissing,” she declares when she releases my lips to take a breath.
“I love your kisses, princess.” Inside I’m gritting my teeth against the lust I feel. I hope she’s oblivious to the enormous erection pressing against her thigh.
“How long do people date before they have sex?”
Fuck me sideways.
I rub her back. “Everyone is different, Baby girl. I’m not having sex with you until you’re certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that you’re mine and want to be with me forever.”
“Other people have sex without knowing all that,” she tells me.
“Other people can do whatever they want. They aren’t us,” I inform her as I slide my hand up to her neck. “Does kissing make you feel aroused?”
“Yes. Is that weird?” Her breath hitches as she voices that question.
