“Fuck. Fuck, Maya,” he told her. “That’s it. Fuck me. I’m going to come.”
She couldn’t help but watch as he threw his head back, a groan slipping from his lips as he came.
Lord, he was beautiful.
She took in her fill of him. It was easier now to stare at him. She didn’t think there would ever be a time where she wouldn’t be stunned by his beauty.
But all of that beauty was hers now.
Forever.

Maya woke up alone.
That was no fun. She’d had dreams of waking Matthieu up with her mouth around his cock.
Then she glanced at the time on the clock on the nightstand.
Holy crap!
How had she slept in that late? Her babies would be busting and hungry.
Jumping up, she glanced around for something to wear and saw Matthieu’s shirt. She quickly pulled that on over her head and rushed out of the room. Where were they? She checked the room she’d chosen for Big B and Tank. Although when they’d gone to bed last night both animals had still been in front of the fire.
They weren’t in the bedroom and the only one in the living room was Princess Priss who was asleep on the sofa.
Where were they? She rushed outside and spotted the rest of her animals with Matthieu. He was throwing a ball for Dougie as Gummy pranced around. Tank and Big B were lying in a sunny patch. Tank was actually on his back with his legs in the air, sun worshipping.
She took him in for a moment, smiling.
“Maya? What are you doing?”
She turned to Matthieu. “I slept in! I’m so sorry.”
“Why are you sorry? You needed the rest. Something must have tired you out.” He winked at her.
Her cheeks grew hot and she knew she must be red. Then he frowned, staring down at her feet.
“Where are your shoes?” he demanded.
“Oh, I forgot them in my rush. I thought I better let my babies out before they had an accident.”
He raised his eyebrows and moved toward her, wrapping his arm around her waist. “You really thought that I wouldn’t take care of them?” He lifted her into the air and carried her inside.
“Oh no, it’s just . . . I, um, well, I guess I didn’t think about that. I’m just used to looking after them myself.”
“I know that. But you’re not alone anymore.” He set her down and tapped her nose as she stared past him, outside. “We’re a team.”
“We are?” she asked, startled.
“Yep.”
“Because you really don’t seem like a team player.”
He looked amused at that. “Well, I am the leader of the team. So I am in charge.”
“Ahh, that makes more sense.”
“You can sleep in if you want to, Maya.” He put his hand on the back of her neck. “I’m here to share the load.”
“That’s going to take some getting used to,” she told him.
He nodded. “I get that. But, there’s something I want you to do for me.”
“What’s that?”
“Start wearing shoes when you go outside,” he said firmly.
She had to grin. “I’ll try.”
“Try harder.”
“Are you sure they’ll be all right outside? What if the fence has a hole in it? Gummy could easily escape. Or what if a wild animal attacks?”
He squeezed the back of her neck. “You need to trust me. I’m going to take care of them and you. They’re safe. We’re not far away. All right?”
She sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly. “All right. Sorry. It’s hard not to worry.”
“I know it is, but I’m going to help you with that. And I think the best way is to spend some time in Little headspace. What do you think?”
“I think . . . I want to try.”
“Good girl. I’m going to let you take a shower and get dressed on your own. But after that, you’re completely mine.”
Wow.
That sent a small shiver through her. She liked the idea of being completely his.
“I wondered where you were,” Matthieu said from the doorway of the playroom.
She glanced up, giving him a shy look. She’d dressed in a pair of olive-colored overalls with a white T-shirt underneath. Her hair was pushed back with a thick white headband. There were white sneakers on her feet. She looked adorable.
“I thought I’d come get into the right mindset.”
“How are you getting on?”
She let out a small laugh. “Not so great.”
“Maybe you need Papa’s help,” he suggested.
“I think I do.”
“Let’s have breakfast first. I’ve set it up outside.”
She stood and took his hand. He led her to the back porch where he’d set up breakfast on the small table.
There were croissants and jelly. Cream cheese. Strawberries and raspberries.
“Yummy!” She clapped her hands.
“Glad you approve, Bébé,” he said as he held a chair out for her.
Then he sat next to her and grabbed a croissant. “What would you like on your croissant?”
“Oh, I can make it,” she told him, trying to reach for it. He lightly smacked her hand away.
