"So we meet again," I say, smirking at her. She looks over at me and tries to hide the sly smile on her face.

"We do." She looks up, and I can see she’s playing it as a professional. "I just came in to introduce myself to you," she starts, "but since we already know each other …"

"I didn’t know you knew Frances," Richard says, and I look at him, then back to her.

"Oh, we met at … what was it?" I point at her, and I can see she is unfazed by me. "Michael’s wedding, I think it was."

"It was." She doesn’t even try to hide it, and little does she know that since she left me at the bar, I’ve remembered that night. I remember it all, and she is a little confused about how it ended. "But I’m sure you met many people that night."

"None that I remember," I say. "But I remember you."

I can see that gets to her when she swallows hard. "I guess that’s a good thing, then." She puts her hands in her pockets, and I can see the silver Rolex on her wrist with a gold love bracelet. For a split second, my stomach burns with the thought that a man could have given her those gifts. What if she has a man, and I’m here thirsting over her? Just the thought pushes me in uncharted territory.

"And then we met last week at the after-party, right?" I don’t wait for her to answer that question. "You know what they say. Third time’s a charm." I smile at her.

"Or three strikes and you’re out." She tilts her head to the side, and then I hear someone talking. She reaches behind her and grabs the walkie-talkie from her back. "I’m with him. I’ll bring him down," she says and clips it back. "They are ready for you on the set."

"I’ve got a call to make," Richard says. "I’ll meet you in the producer box. " He looks at Frances and smiles at her. "Save me a seat." I get out of my chair, and the image of me throat punching him flashes through my head. Richard walks out of the room, leaving Frances and me alone.

"I thought you said your name was Franny?"

"It’s a nickname my friends and family use," she says, not moving as I walk toward her.

"Aren’t we friends?" I ask, and for the first time in my whole life, I’m having fun. This conversation with her is everything.

"More along the line of acquaintances." She tries not to smile, but it comes out as a smirk.

"We’ve seen each other naked." I say the words quietly and look around. "Surely, that puts us in the friends category."

She doesn't have a chance to answer me before more conversation comes across the walkie-talkie. "We should head to the set." She turns, and it’s the wrong move, at least for me. The walkie-talkie is clipped in the back pocket of her pants. But her ass fills out those pants, and my cock goes hard because all I can think about is bending her over. "Are you coming?" She stops when she notices that I’m not behind her.

"I’m just taking in the view." I smile, and she rolls her eyes.

"You’ve seen the view before." She doesn’t even try to hide it. "Up close and personal also." She stops walking and leans in. "You even bit it and smacked it."

If my cock wasn’t hard before, it’s rock hard now. I look down and make sure it’s not noticeable. The last thing I need is for people to think I’m jonesing over her. Even if I am, it’s no one's business. "Is that so?"

"Tough loss last night." She changes the subject as we start to walk down the hallway, and more people come into view.

"Yeah, it’s never fun to lose." I try to keep my cool as we walk toward the set, passing all the empty rooms. Her hand grazes mine, and it’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s the same thing she did that night when we walked toward my room.

I grab her hand and pull her into one of the rooms, catching her off guard. I slam the door shut and cage her in with her back to the door. My hands go up by her head. "I remember that night." I lean in so close to her that I can hear her breath hitch. "It took me a second …" One of my hands comes down, and I rub her cheek with my index finger toward her lips. "The memories, they aren’t going away."

"Well, you need to create new ones to erase the old ones." She tries to keep her voice level and pretend she isn’t affected by me, but I can see her eyes, and they’ve turned a light green on the bottom.
