When he came back up, Dax was just standing there, watching.

Everett paused to take in that wide expanse of muscled chest. There was a patch of hair across Dax’s pecs, and he was positively ripped except for the small pooch of that sexy belly. Strong, yet soft—his body like a dream for Everett.

Everett didn’t even reach Dax’s shoulders, and though he was toned, he looked skinny next to this big, beefy man. He hoped Dax liked what he saw.

But as he looked up into Dax’s face, the desire blazing there made him shiver.

Oh, he so does.

Everett’s hands ached to touch, so he repeated the move he’d made in the office downstairs, slowly running his hands up that amazing chest. Dax’s skin was hot, the hair on his chest crisp, yet soft under Everett’s palms. Their differences in sizes was so obvious when standing together like this, but Everett liked it. He was usually smaller than his partners—it was just the way it was. But this felt a little unreal, and again, he felt that brush of complete awareness over his skin. He supposed it could be Dax’s magic, but it didn’t make him wary at all. He had a feeling it was actually deeper than that.

They had a connection that he felt all the way to his soul.

He took Dax’s hand and pulled him toward the bed. Dax didn’t seem to mind bending down to kiss him or hell, plucking him right off his feet to make them even, but Everett was ready to meet him as an equal. Fuck that, Everett was ready to be on that bed with the big, burly guy.

He pushed Dax to sit on the bed, then crawled right onto his lap and straddled his hips.

Dax took advantage immediately, devouring Everett’s mouth with an intensity that made him dizzy—in a good way. Dax’s kisses felt like an alcoholic buzz, making him lightheaded and flooding his body with a delicious warmth. Hands cupped his neck, then slid over his shoulders. but the touch was almost too gentle.

Dax was still holding back with him.

Everett started to say something but didn’t want to part their mouths. The man was just going to have to learn for himself that Everett was a lot tougher than he looked.

He supposed he could have been slightly offended, but he imagined that with Dax’s size and supernatural strength, this had always been an issue for him. So Everett didn’t take it personally.

Dax broke their kiss and trailed his lips down Everett’s neck, which had always been a highly erogenous zone. He moaned and stretched his head back to give Dax all the access. When Dax sucked on his neck, he couldn’t stop another whimper from leaving his throat. He grasped Dax’s shoulders, digging in his fingers briefly before he stroked his palms down those thick arms. Dax had the silkiest skin he’d ever felt, and again, he marveled over the absolute heat that seemed to emanate from his body. He was like a living furnace. For someone who always ran cold, that was highly desirable. Everett couldn’t stop touching that skin, and he moved around to feel the strong muscles in Dax’s back.

He wrapped his arms around Dax’s neck when the man came back up to his mouth. Their chests pressed together, and he gasped into Dax’s mouth as all that heat seeped into him. He so wished he’d taken off his jeans—and Dax’s—before he’d plopped down on his lap. He wanted to feel more of that fantastic skin against his.

With that thought in mind, he let go and scrambled to his feet, then laughed and tried to pull Dax up. “We need to lose the rest of our clothes.”

Dax stood, his hands going to his fly, and Everett nearly swallowed his tongue watching him peel his jeans down those thick thighs. Dax was just built so large, he seemed almost inhuman.

Oh yeah… He was.

“You going to lose your pants, too?” Dax asked, a twinkle in his eyes.

“Just enjoying the show. You’re really gorgeous, Dax.”

“I don’t know about that,” he muttered as he tugged his pants all the way off. When his hands went to his underwear, Everett found himself speechless again because… Damn. Dax was larger than normal, his dick a thing of absolute beauty. Long and uncut with heavy balls nestled beneath. His legs were heavily muscled like his upper body and arms, but Everett zeroed in on that soft belly. He couldn’t resist reaching out to stroke it.

“I love your body,” Everett whispered. “Everything about it. Fuck, you turn me on so much.”

The heat blazing in Dax’s eyes threatened to burn him alive. “Want to see you,” Dax breathed.

Everett hurriedly took off his jeans and stood there, feeling faintly embarrassed because he did run on the skinny side. He wasn’t ashamed of his form in any way, shape, or form, but again, it was their complete opposition that came to the forefront of his mind.
