He takes a deep breath and leans his head against me. “Honey, we’re going to have a baby.”
I cup his face in my hands. “Are you happy?”
He sniffs, and I swear the man looks as if he’s about to cry. “I’m so fuckin’ happy.” He sniffs again. “What about you? You happy?”
I nod, but that’s not enough for him. He holds me tight against him. “Are you okay with not riding? I know you love it, and I hate that you have to give up something you love, even if it’s only temporary.”
I put a hand to my still flat belly. “I love you… I love our baby… and yes, I enjoy riding, but I’ll be fine. I’m excited to see you as a daddy.”
He pulls his shoulders back. “I promise you I’ll be the best dad to our kids, London.”
I nod knowingly. “You’re the best husband, so yeah, I can see you being a good dad.”
He leans his forehead against mine. “So you’ll see a doctor today?”
I laugh. “I’ll see Dr. Lane. But I’m not seeing the vet.”
He nods. “Deal.”
He picks me up and carries me to the bedroom and lays me out on the bed. “We should celebrate.”
I nod. “What do you have in mind?”
He hovers over me, pulling my panties down in one swoop. “I looked it up. It’s okay for you to orgasm.”
He kisses down my belly and pushes my knees open. I lean up on my elbows to watch him. The last six months have been the best of my life, and I think the future is going to be even better.
