Rich people, Leighton decided as she parked her cart outside Suite 14. That had to be it and nothing else. In the eight months she had been working in the cruise industry, she had come across an amazing number of eccentric situations, and the only common thing they had between them?

Rich people.

And since she was about to meet another one of said rich people...

Leighton did a final check on the contents of her housekeeping cart, straightened her name pin, and cleared her throat one last time before knocking on the door of Suite 14. "Housekeeping."

She waited for a moment, knocked again, and when she still didn't hear anything, Leighton swiped her card to enter the suite.

One quick look around told Leighton that the room was largely untouched, but she stuck to routine anyway. After dusting off every surface, Leighton plugged her vacuum in, and as she turned around to start cleaning—-

OhMyGod!

She blinked and rubbed her eyes several times, but the figure standing by the bedroom doorway didn't fade.

OhMyGodHeWasReal!

That was James Winterbourne, wasn't it? She couldn't be mistaken. It had to be him, especially since she was a huge fan of golf, and he happened to be her favorite player for years. James had several golf championships under his belt and was a celebrity in his own right because of his dark good looks. She had always dreamed of meeting him in person one day, but never in her wildest dreams had she imagined seeing him in the flesh...and nothing else.

OhMyGodHeWasNaked!

Leighton finally remembered to avert her gaze and felt herself turn red from head to toe when she saw the athlete's green eyes gleaming at her in amusement.

"I'm so s-sorry," she stammered. "I was told you requested for h-housekeeping—-"

"I didn't."

James' lazy tone made her brain short circuit for some reason, and Leighton had a hard time recalling her train of thought. "Um...well...I'm just so sorry again." She found herself even bowing in apology as she spoke...but this turned out to be a huge mistake.

A strangled gasp escaped her when she realized she was now directly at eye-level with James' huge, thick cock.

OhMyGodHeWasHuge!

She shot back up, face flaming a deeper shade of red. "I'm so sorry, I'm, um—-" Oh Jesus, it was so hard to think. "Should I, er, still clean—-"

"By all means."

"Because I can just..." Go, she was about to say when the golfer's words sank in, and Leighton most mortifying episode of her life wasn't about to end anytime soon.

She cleared her throat. "Well, okay then..."

"Okay then."

The way his tone mockingly echoed hers made Leighton's cheeks burn hotter, and dazed as she was at how awful she was handling her first meeting with her celebrity crush, Leighton thought nothing of watching him turn away—-

OhMyGodThatWasHisNakedButt!

She quickly covered her eyes, and it was only when she heard the door shut closed that she allowed her knees to give out, and she collapsed down on the sofa.

James Winterbourne! Naked!

Leighton! Awkward!

As the thought had Leighton fanning her heated cheeks, the bedroom door suddenly opened again, and Leighton quickly scrambled back up to her feet. "Y-Yes, sir?"

She saw James' lips slowly curve into the sexiest smile, and Leighton's cheeks burned hotter as she felt her entire body respond to it.

"I almost forgot to ask," the athlete murmured. "How long is this going to take you?"

"T-This?"

"Cleaning the living room."

"Just ten minutes, but if you have, um...I can always leave—-"

"Don't leave."

The sudden note of command in James' voice made Leighton swallow hard.

"Leighton?"

Since she had her nameplate pinned to her uniform, Leighton wasn't surprised that he knew her name. What did surprise her was that James had actually bothered to use it. Most other guests never did, and so for James to be different...

"I'm waiting for an answer."

Even as her stomach clenched at the hardness of James' tone, Leighton heard herself say, "Yes, I won't leave."

The chiseled lines of James' gorgeous face marginally softened. "Good."

He disappeared back into his room in the next second, but Leighton remained rooted in her spot, unable to take shake off the terrifying feeling that her whole world was about to hurtle in a whole new direction.

JAMES HAD ALWAYS BELIEVED in destiny, but it was not the kind of romantic drivel often glamorized by Hollywood. Destiny in his book was seeing the opportunity in every good and bad thing fate threw at him, and the beautiful woman outside his bedroom was the perfect example for it.

He wasn't even supposed to be in this cruise if not for a canceled commercial shoot, and only this morning James had found himself losing patience with his girlfriend's wild partying antics and breaking up with her for good.

Obviously, those hadn't been anything for him to feel thankful about while they were happening, but James knew now that they were blessings in disguise. And yes, he was thankful for them, too. Because if not for those two things, he would not be here...with her.
