She complements us in the most wonderful way, and I know we’re never going to take that for granted. We’re going to make sure she’s the most appreciated, worshipped, spoiled wife in existence.
And the start of that is going to be some very carnal worship on our honeymoon. We’ve rented an entire island, one far away from nosy photographers, with a reputation for ironclad discretion. Only us, and a tiny handful of staff to keep us comfortable.
It’s going to be one of the best memories of our lives.
HAZEL
I’m not surprised that my men had to give me rockstar-sized wedding gifts.
They paid off my student loans, and then they paid off my mom’s house. She tried to protest, but they insisted. They even told her they’d build her a new one, anywhere she wanted, but Mom wants to stay in her town where she knows everyone, and where my little sister can finish school with her friends.
So instead, my husbands built us a new house outside of Vegas, so we can easily visit my family whenever we want to.
They asked me what I liked and didn’t like about the house they recorded the album in. I loved the enormous bed, and they assured me that they’d have an even bigger one custom-built. I said I wasn’t a big fan of all the marble and gilt edges, that I preferred a home that was, well, homey. Welcoming.
Our new house is built wherever possible with reclaimed wood. It’s big, but not overwhelming. Lots of natural fabrics, everything understated and comfortable instead of showy. I love it.
I won’t have time to settle in, though, because we’re heading straight off to our honeymoon after this. The men are all enjoying being very secretive about where we’re going. It’s exasperating, but I trust them, so I told them they’ll have to pack for me. So far, it looks like they’ve only used my one little suitcase.
It’s probably filled entirely with lingerie.
I can’t wait to go wherever we’re going. So long as I’m with them, I don’t mind if we’re surrounded by mountains, or oceans, or security guards holding back crowds of fans. I’m happy as long as my men are at my side.
After the honeymoon, we’ll be touring some more, all around the world. And a publisher is talking to me about doing some collections of my photographs, which is thrilling.
But eventually, we’ll settle down in our new home. I’ve seen the kitchen.
I’ll be able to bake so many muffins.
