As he entered, he saw Winter was already there. Her hair was damp, pulled into a low ponytail. She wore a pink top that ended at the waist, a thin strip of skin showing above the hem of the tight jeans encasing her sweet ass.

He swallowed a groan, not needing to give Zach any ammunition to give him shit.

Winter turned toward them and smiled. His cock immediately perked up, angry at him for not letting her reciprocate on him earlier.

“Hi, Zach. Can I make you some coffee?” she asked.

“Hey, sweetheart. Sure thing.”

Harrison rolled his eyes at his brother’s term of endearment. The man was a walking, talking Romeo.

“You can make your own,” Harrison told him.

“That’s okay. I’ve got it.” She turned to prepare Zach a cup.

As she worked, his brother strode up beside her, propping a hip against the counter. “So, I take it you heard I went by your place?”

She nodded, waiting as the coffee dripped into the mug, pulled it out and put another cup in. “I appreciate it.”

“Thanks.” Zach winked at her, and Harrison shot his flirtatious brother a scowl.

She waited for the coffee to finish dripping and handed Harrison a cup of his own.

“Thanks, beautiful.”

A pretty blush stained her cheeks. “I also heard you picked up something for me?” Zach handed her a large manila envelope with her name written on it in red crayon. “That’s odd,” she murmured.

Harrison agreed.

She peeled open the top and pulled out a letter with the same red crayon-colored writing on it. “I hope the baby looks like Harrison and NOT like you,” she read, wrinkling her nose. “Well, that’s rude.” Sarcasm laced Winter’s tone as she stared at the note Zach had given her.

Harrison tensed, hating how his life was negatively impacting her. She didn’t need any more reasons to pull away.

She shrugged and tossed the paper on the counter, obviously not bothered, allowing him to relax, at least on that score.

“The wacko has a point,” she said. “I hope the baby does have your Hollywood good looks.”

“Winter thinks you’re hot,” Zach said with a grin. “Anyone have any popcorn? I’m here for the show.”

“Don’t let it go to your head,” she said to Harrison, blushing at the same time Harrison scowled at his sibling.

“Asshole,” he muttered.

Still, the thought that someone was sending Winter messages about the baby made his stomach churn. “Does this worry you at all?” he asked his brother, who’d made it his life’s mission to help people in various ways.

Their family might come from hotel money and Asher had convinced them to invest in Dirty Dare Spirits, but each had their own talent that added to their finances. Jade and Nick worked at the hotels, Asher ran the spirits company, Harrison had made his name acting and now producing.

And Zach? He’d developed anti-hacking software a private company was willing to pay big bucks for, making him wealthy on his own. He’d bought the bar, and in his free time… Harrison wasn’t sure what his brother did, but the man had skills.

Zach glanced at the note. “I wouldn’t panic unless she keeps receiving them or the tenor escalates.” He took a long sip of his coffee. “I would keep the bodyguard posted outside on her though.”

“You have got to be kidding me! I can’t just go back to my normal life without someone trailing along after me?” Winter asked, shock widening her eyes.

Shit. Harrison shot her an apologetic look, then ran a hand over his razor stubble. Though he wanted to argue with his brother, he couldn’t. “Sorry. I have to agree with Zach.”

“You’re the woman who’s having Hollywood’s Hottest Playboy’s baby,” Zach said to her.

“Please tell me you’re joking and they are not really saying that?”

“CGC is,” Zach said.

She rolled her eyes. “Celebrity Gossip Central. Wonderful. And just as my notoriety for being the senator’s illegitimate child was dying down.” She wrapped her arms around herself, and he felt her pulling away.

“It’s the price of fame. But anything I can do to help, let me know.” Zach finished his coffee and placed the mug in the sink then ran water into it.

“Thank you,” she said.

Zach winked. Again.

Harrison held back the need to throttle his sibling.

“It’ll all sort itself out.” Zach turned to face him. “Better to be me and stay under the radar.”

“You call nearly getting yourself hauled in by the feds for hacking staying under the radar?” Harrison couldn’t help but needle his sibling. It was how they showed their love.

“You did what?” Winter asked, her eyes wide.

Zach narrowed his gaze at Harrison for bringing up ancient history. While in college, his computer genius brother had hacked into a government site and gotten caught. Instead of arresting him, one of the agencies, Zach never revealed which one, had co-opted him into writing programs to keep people like himself out of restricted websites.
