“Leandro.”

Her cry was loud and unabashed with need, and he knew it meant she was close to coming. He released her nipple the same time he slid one hand between her legs so he could find that tiny nub of flesh to drive her wild.

His eyes locked with hers. He wanted to see her fall apart. He needed to see it, knowing that it was the only way he could truly make himself believe he had Bobby back in his life.

“I’ll make you mine now, mégaira.”

Her eyes widened at the possessive words, but there was no time to react as his fingers found her clit just as he thrust into her one last time. She came with a scream, her body shuddering in his touch and he watched her, memorizing every nuance of emotion that flickered on Bobby’s face as the pleasure of his possession took over her.

Only when she was completely sated did she realize that he had not come with her. A second later, she realized another thing. Bobby said weakly, “You’re still hard?”

“I waited one year for you, my love. You didn’t think I would be satisfied with just one round?”

She was, but she supposed that didn’t count since her stamina had never matched his.

And then he started to move, and she cried out as his cock began to make her body come to life once again.

IT WAS DAWN THE NEXT morning when Bobby woke, and she had to yawn and rub her eyes several times before she could see clearly enough. The clock on the bedside table told her it was four in the morning, and the realization that she and Leandro had literally made love day and night made her blush. Her mind took a naughty turn, reminding her not just how many times they had made love but when and where – on the floor, the kitchen table, and oh dear God, that one time when he had her on all fours in front of the mirror...

Her cheeks heated up, enough to make Bobby feel delirious. Had she really done all that?

Leandro’s phone beeped, and she picked it up from the table.

The name on the screen made Bobby sit up.

Erica Norwood.

The girl who had been so shamelessly flirting with Leandro.

And Leandro, she recalled with a pang, had flirted right back. She shouldn’t have forgotten that, but her stupid silly heart had made her forget it.

Drawing a heavy breath, tears blurring her vision, Bobby left the bed quietly and started the search for her clothes around the house.

WHEN LEANDRO WOKE UP alone, he knew right away that something was wrong. But he held on to his composure as he searched his house for Bobby, not bothering to put on his clothes. There was no sign of her, and it was what he had feared but expected.

Returning to his room, Leandro picked up his phone. The most recent message was from...Bobby.

I’m sorry. I just can’t do this again. With Sabastian, it’s right between us. With you, it’s...too much. It’s wrong.

His heart shattered at her words, but he forced himself to read the next message, hoping it was also from Bobby and maybe there would be a clue to tell him what the hell happened to make her leave him in a panic.

The message, however, was from Erica.

And it was unopened.

Had Bobby seen the message and thought the worst?

He couldn’t blame her if she did. But there was an explanation for it, and relief hit him as the more he thought about it, the more sense it made. Bobby had left him, he decided, because she had seen Erica’s message and assumed the worst. Once she realized it was entirely innocent, she would be back and he could woo her again into admitting that she loved him.

He called her right away, but he wasn’t surprised when she didn’t answer his calls. Of course she wouldn’t. She thought he was cheating on her.

Leandro tapped the Facebook icon on his phone. She was always online on the social media site since she was also the one personally managing the Facebook page of the foundation. She could ignore his call, but she would not be able to ignore his message.

Leandro clicked her name on the screen and waited for the app to redirect him to Bobby’s personal account.

The page loaded.

Leandro’s phone crashed on the floor.

Bobby had changed her status to Engaged, with Sabastian Gabris tagged on the post, and above it was a photo of Bobby sporting an engagement ring on her finger.

Chapter Twelve

“He did what?” Bobby shot out of her seat, unable to believe that Leandro would do something so underhanded just to get her to talk to him. Last night had been horrible. She had spent countless hours trying to convince herself she had done the right thing and she could survive the loss of Leandro again.
