“I have to tell you something,” she says. In my experience, that’s never a good thing.

“I’m pregnant,” she blurts out.

“What?” I ask, the surprise evident in my voice. Though it really shouldn’t be with the sheer amount of unprotected sex we’ve had in the last few weeks.

“I found out today. We didn’t do anything to stop it from happening.”

“I know, baby. I knew exactly what I was doing.”

“What were you doing?”

“Tying you to me in every way.”

“Okay. So, what do we do now?”

“Now we get married,” I say nonchalantly. She starts laughing but then stops when she sees the look on my face.

“I’m serious, baby. I’ve wanted to marry you since the moment I met you.”

“That’s interesting,” she says laughing.

“We could be married already,” I tell her, picking her up.

“I shouldn’t have lied,” she says.

“We’re together now and that’s all that matters.” She nods, her eyes teary.

“None of that,” I say. She nods again.

“Where are we going?” she asks.

“To bed.”

“It’s noon.”

“We are celebrating.”

“Well, that sounds amazing,” she says as I toss her on our bed. She gave up her apartment and moved in here with me. It’s okay for now, but once the baby comes, we will have to get a bigger place. I have my eye on a Victorian over on Main Street. She makes me forget how much I hate a Christmas since I am imagining how good the fucking twinkling lights are going to look on that house.

“We should go to Vegas,” I say lying down on the best next to her.

“We definitely should,” she says.

“So, what are we waiting for?”

“Can we really go that quickly?”

“Why not?”

I make some quick calls and get the jet ready. Less than two hours later, we are on our way until death do us part.

I absolutely can’t wait to be her husband. She is my everything and I can’t wait to show her how good life can be.

Epilogue

Elora

Four Years Later

“Fuck baby. I love being inside of you,” he says as slams into me again.

“I love it too,” I agree, looking over my shoulder at him. He grips my hips, leaving bruises as he owns me.

“I’m going to fill this pussy,” he growls. He gets so talkative when he’s fucking me.

“I love you,” I scream as my pussy flutters and I come. He fucks into me a few more times before he comes and pulls out of me.

“I love you too, Mrs. Olsen,” he replies, making me smile, remembering all those times he refused to call me Elora.

I lay on my back and take several deep breaths; I am just about to fall asleep when I hear the door open. I grab my robe and get out of bed.

“Mommy, I had a bad dream,” our three-year-old, Larissa says.

“Well, that’s not good. Let’s get you back in bed and we can try again. How does that sound?”

“Okay, mommy.” I take her little hand and lead her back to bed.

The next morning, I take the test I dread all the time now.

“Oh my God,” I say looking down at the pregnancy test on the counter. Finally, a positive test after three years of trying, it’s happened. It was so easy the first time, but we had a bit of trouble after that.

We finally figured out a way to get business in the summer by building what we call the Snopocalypse. It’s a winter themed water park that brings in families for two-week all-inclusive vacations. It was the first of many ideas Logan and I came up with.

“Elora?” Lacey calls after a quick knock on my bedroom door.

“Yes?”

“Can we talk?”

“Of course,” I say, moving to sit on the bed. She sits down next to me.

“I hate my job.”

“Okay,” I say, smiling. I could have guessed that.

“I want to work here. Do you think Ian will mind?”

“Of course not. We love you Lacey,” I tell her.

I love you guys too, but that’s not the only reason I want to move home.”

“Oh?”

“I’m pregnant and I can’t do this alone,” she says.

“Oh my God, I’m pregnant too. Wait, alone?”

“He disappeared. I don’t think I even know his real name.”

“Oh my God, Lacey. Are you okay?”

“Oh, I’m totally fine. I just want to come home.”

“Just come on home.”

“Good, I brought all my stuff.”

“You are crazy, girl,” I say, pulling her into a hug. She looks so sad, and I am a hundred percent sure that she’s keeping something from me, but I don’t push her now. “I’ll get Derek to help you with your stuff.”

“No. Not Derek,” she yells. “I mean, I thought he went home for winter.”

“No, he asked to stay on in a different department.”

“Oh. Okay,” she says out loud, but it’s immediately followed by “I can do this.”

Things are about to get interesting at the Snow Bird Inn, that’s for sure.
