Usually, they’ve been in a relationship for a long time with a woman who faked it and never taught them a damned thing.

I moan anyway, because I’m not about to let him down now.

I’m one of those women right now. Dammit.

It’s short lived, anyway.

Within minutes, he’s climaxed.

“I’m sorry,” he murmurs, kissing me. “You feel so good.”

Right.

I smile up at him. “It’s all good.”

Ugh. But it’s not.

I feel like I’m going to explode.

We cuddle and talk for a bit and then I really have to get the hell out of there, not because he’s not kind and sweet, but because I just can’t handle the pressure for a second longer. I need to go.

We part ways and he promises to call, but, honestly, I think it’s time for me to be honest and accept this isn’t going to happen. He’s a really nice guy, but he is not the guy for me. I’ll find another one, there are plenty out there, right?

By the time I get home, I’m frustrated. Not just sexually but all round. I’m bursting inside. I feel defeated and angry and just grumpy as hell.

I bust through the front door and find Adan sitting on the sofa, feet up on the coffee table, beer in his hand, watching some sport on the television. He looks to me when I walk in, and when he grins, I want to punch him in the damned face.

“Went well then, did it?”

“Go fuck yourself. You were right, okay? Is that what you want to hear? You were right. He can’t satisfy me, he doesn’t have what I need. He left me feeling like I’m going to explode and more than a little disappointed. So go ahead, gloat, tell me all the shit you’re going to tell me. I don’t fucking care!”

I throw my purse on the ground, kick off my shoes, and make a loud growling sound.

Adan stands and halfway through my tantrum I realize he’s walking toward me. I open my mouth to ask him what he’s doing when he uses his forearm to push me back against the wall. I gasp, shocked, but the intensity in his eyes has me clamping my mouth shut. Before I can say or do anything, he’s on his knees in front of me. He jerks my dress up, pulls my panties to the side and then his mouth is between my legs.

I don’t even know how he managed to do it, but I don’t care.

It’s in that second I know, god do I know, that I made the right choice not leading Daniel on any further.

Adan brings fire to my core immediately.

His mouth is a god damned hurricane, destroying me with every flick of his tongue, every pull on my clit. He sucks and licks until I’m screaming. Full-blown crying out as my knees begin to tremble and the orgasm that was shoved back down one too many times explodes.

It explodes with a force that has me falling forward and gripping his shoulders so I don’t fall.

I moan and tremble and whimper.

He doesn’t stop.

He keeps going.

He keeps going until I orgasm again, and then again.

By the end of it, I can barely stand straight.

He gets to his feet and leans in close, pressing his lips against mine. His swollen, wet lips that taste just like me.

He kisses me.

It’s the kind of kiss that you feel to your very soul.

Then he pulls back and murmurs, “Night.”

With that, he’s gone.

What in all fuckery is happening right now?

I swallow and stare at the double gates as I approach.

I parked down the road a little—not sure why, I just did.

He doesn’t know I’m coming, I made the rash decision and drove out here and, well, here I am.

Two of the guards by the gate turn and look at me, and obviously they recognize me because they immediately open the gate.

“He’ll be pleased you’re here,” the older of the two says.

He gives me a smile.

They were so terrifying last time I was here, with their gruff expressions and stern faces, but now I’m here and they know who I am, things are different.

They’re almost normal people now.

Almost.

“I’m not sure I’m going in yet, I mean ... I’ve come this far but I’m terrified. I didn’t exactly exit on the best terms the other day.”

“It’ll be okay. I’ll radio in now and let him know you’re here.”

I swallow and wait with anticipation as the guard radios into my father, who is about to find out I’ve come to see him, to hear him out, to try and understand why he left me and never came back.

I’m not sure I want to know the answers, but ... here I am.

I didn’t tell anyone I was coming, mostly I needed to get out of the house after Adan left with Lorelei. The idea of the two of them driving around, laughing, and then probably ending the night in bed, makes my heart hurt in ways I didn’t think was possible. Especially after the other night. Since then, he’s been back to his grumpy ass self and has acted like nothing happened.
