Hawk reached into his jacket. “I came to give you this. I saw it and thought of you. One of the women had it with her at the club, and she didn’t want the job. I thought of you.”

Nikki took the flyer. “I’m not a trained beautician.”

“They’re not after someone trained. They want to do the training, and as part of the job, the schooling comes free. They will put you through college, you learn on the job as well, and all you have to do is sign a five-year deal with them.”

“Is this normal?” Nikki asked.

He was paying for the college course and was making sure for the next five years she wasn’t going anywhere.

Hawk didn’t believe in forever. He knew there was no chance of forever, but until he got bored with her, he was going to enjoy it. At the end of his fix, he’d take care of her, and they would never have to see each other again.

“Is what normal?”

“I’ve never known places to offer deals like this, or on a term basis. Oh, my, this is incredible, and it’s not even in town, but the town over. I could make this work. So long as my car can handle the travel. Oh, my, you don’t think they have given this to someone else? How old is this flyer?” Nikki asked.

Her excitement was what he loved to see. She looked positively glowing.

“It’s recent, and I don’t know. There is no harm in calling them up in the morning. They’re closed now.”

Nikki smiled. “This must mean my luck is changing. It has to.”

Then, she surprised him by suddenly throwing herself at him and pulling him in for a hug. “Thank you, Hawk. You’re a lifesaver.”

He pressed his hand against her back and felt how soft she was next to him. The softness of her tits, the feel of her curvy body. Hawk didn’t know what it was about her, but he felt a thickening in his cock, and he wanted her. So desperately.

Nikki pulled away, and even her smile was sexy.

He didn’t do this out of the goodness of his heart. There was a bigger plan, one that put Nikki in his path for good, or at least for as long as he wanted her.

“I guess I am your good luck charm.”

Chapter Six

Nikki got the job, which was great since she lost her old job. The news had come as a surprise, but it seemed the supermarket chain was being taken over by a different company. Nikki didn’t really know what was happening. There were a lot of rumors, but she and several other people had lost their jobs.

At least she had one where she was able to train, study, and learn. At first, she thought Darlene didn’t like her. She worried her mother’s reputation had reached even further than she could imagine. It would seem Darlene was cold and aloof with all newbie beauticians. She wanted to make sure the men or women that came to work for her were up to the challenge.

The truth was, Nikki didn’t realize how much was involved in working at a beauty salon. Before she even got to the educational stuff, Darlene gave her a tour of the salon, including a brief rundown of the kind of services they offered. Each one sounded even more elaborate and amazing than the last. It wasn’t just makeup and hair, they offered skin care along with multiple other beauty techniques she hadn’t even heard about.

There was so much to understand on a working level. For the first week, she was Darlene’s shadow. She was to watch the way she worked, how she conducted herself, and the procedures she took part in. Along with just general watching, she also had to provide the tea.

Nikki didn’t mind. Darlene was amazing.

From what she could tell, she had at least ten full-time staff, along with several part-time. The full-time staff had to know at least seventy percent of the different services and procedures that were offered. Darlene knew every one of them. This was why it was her business, and why she oversaw everything.

The job was for six days a week, except for Christmas day, all the way up to New Year’s. They always had several clients on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, for makeup, hairstyles, and several other services. She felt like a sponge, absorbing it all.

The unfortunate factor, when it came to the night school classes, was that she would have to wait till September to register. She was able to make it in time for the admissions, so that was a go. She had hoped to be able to start right away, but Darlene had wanted her to experience life in the salon first as an observer to see if it was what she wanted to do.
