Curly reached under the table and held up a Handler’s bottom rocker like all the patched members wore

Frost held his breath. Did this mean?

“He’s in?” Rachel whispered.

With a nod, Curly said, “He’s in. Congrats, brother. We took a unanimous vote last night. Now you don’t get this today. We’ll do an official patch-in next weekend, but welcome to the club, brother.”

Frost’s mouth opened and closed, but no words came out.

Rachel lifted his hand and kissed it. “You shocked, speechless?”

He cleared his throat. “Uh, yeah. It’s so fast. I’ve only been prospecting six months.”

“So?” Curly set the patch on the table. “You’ve more than proven yourself. No point in drawing it out for the sake of fucking with you.”

“For the record, I don’t agree,” Jinx added with a wink.

“I couldn’t think of a better man to join us than you, Frost.”

“Thank you.” Curly deserved more words than that, but his brain seemed to have taken a vacation.

“Couldn’t think of a better man for Rachel, either.”

Christ, he would tear up if they continued with this bullshit. After years on his own, he was out of practice receiving compliments and expressing gratitude. But he’d make it his life’s mission to honor Curly and the Handlers.

He cleared his throat. “Again, thank you.”

Curly nodded. “Now go get some damn clothes on.”

Rachel laughed and squeezed his arms where they banded across her stomach. “We may be a while,” she said. “Don’t wait for us to start the fire.”

“Ugh, don’t wanna know,” Curly replied.

Seriously, he did not need his brand-new president imagining what he was doing to the man’s sister.

Together they ran toward the apartments. As soon as they burst through the door to his studio, Rachel was on him. She kissed a trail across his chest and up to his neck. Everywhere her lips touched his skin blazed.

“Damn, woman, you feel good.”

“Mmm,” she hummed against him. She ran her tongue over his collarbone, making him groan.

His dick leaked inside the damn Santa pants. Never again would he look at the jolly man the same.

He gripped the back of her head, giving a gentle tug. “Wait, wait.”

She popped her head up. Ravenous eyes met his. Damn, she was gorgeous.

And all his.

Her smile dipped. “You okay?”

He nodded. “Yeah. I’m fucking great. Just…”

It was too soon. Maybe it was crazy. Maybe a huge mistake that would send her running for the hills, but someone once told him Christmas was a time for miracles. He’d long ago stopped believing in those, but what the hell.

“I love you, Rachel. I know it’s fast. Fuck, probably too fast, and I know we both have mountains of issues—”

She covered his mouth with her soft palm while her eyes glowed with happiness. “I love you too, Frost. And I don’t care about the timing. You’ve given me the best Christmas gift I could have ever received.”

She kissed him hard and deep.

They never made it down to the bonfire, but it didn’t matter.

They’d make it next year.

And every year after that.
