He nipped at the lobe of my ear before he sank two thick fingers inside of me. I gasped, my head hanging forward as he quickly pumped his fingers in and out of me, the heel of his hand rubbing my clit. My entire body trembled as Blaze quickly sent me spiraling towards the edge.

“Now, Montana. Come for me, sweetheart.”

I moaned his name as I came around his fingers. My heart hammered in my chest in a rapid tempo. My legs almost gave out beneath me, but Blaze’s arm was already wrapped around me, keeping me on my feet.

My blood heated even more when he brought his fingers to my lips. “Open wide and clean me up.”

I quickly parted my lips, my tongue darting out as soon as his fingers were in my mouth. I moaned around them and sucked them off, the taste of myself on his skin turning me on even more.

He pressed a kiss to my temple and pulled his fingers from my mouth. I released them with a pop. “Good girl. Now come on. You need to try to eat something so I can give you your pain medicine.”

With that, he helped me from the shower, dried me off, and kept an eye on me as I got dressed, brushed my hair, and brushed my teeth.

Something had shifted between us in that shower. I didn’t know what, but Blaze wasn’t as hard with me as he normally was. Sure, there was still that tough thing he had going on with me, and he was firm and unforgiving, but when he put me in my place, it wasn’t as painful when he gripped my chin or put his hand around my throat. I kind of missed it already.

“Come on. Time to go,” he told me once I finished the broth he’d made me for breakfast.

I sighed. “I hate doctors,” I muttered.

“Too bad,” he said, pulling his keys from his pocket. “We need to get a move on.”

I reached up and rubbed my eyes. “Blaze, do I have to go today?” I asked him, still trying to get out of going.

He wrapped a hand around my throat and pressed me back against my chair. I swallowed thickly beneath his grip. “Stop arguing with me. When it comes to your health, you’ll never win with me, Montana. Let’s go.”

He released me. With an angry curse, I lurched from my chair too fast and stumbled into him. He wrapped an arm around my waist, holding me until I was steady. And then, he grabbed my upper arm and tugged me out of the house with him.

“You’re such an ass,” I muttered as he opened the passenger door of his truck. That little bit of tenderness had been short-lived, and though he pissed me off, I was glad it was.

He shrugged. “Got to be with you, Montana, since you enjoy being a pain in my ass.”

I shot him a sickly-sweet smile as he buckled me in like I was three. “Maybe if you weren’t such a hard ass—”

He shot me a look that quickly shut me up. “Don’t pretend you don’t ruin your panties every time I put you in your place, Montana.”

With that, he shut the truck door. I rolled my lips into my mouth.

How the fuck had he known?

Dear God, I was royally fucked up.

And it was all Blaze’s fault.

The new OB that Blaze had found for me was amazing, to say the least, though I’d never let him know that. I was on a medication for my nausea now, which helped tremendously. And I was now also on a specialized diet that the nutritionist I’d seen had put me on.

Three days later, and my brother was already commenting on the color that had come back to my skin now that I was eating again. It made me uncomfortable, but I did my best to suck it up. I knew he had been worried about me.

I sighed in dismay as I stared at my closet. I only had a handful of clothes, and with my belly already somehow growing, I needed other clothes. My tight jeans weren’t comfortable anymore. The bloating of my stomach was making it almost impossible to button them.

Which meant I would have to go to my mom’s and get my clothes.

Which I was not looking forward to doing.

Grumbling beneath my breath, I grabbed my wallet and my phone before heading out of the house to the nearest bus stop. I knew I could have waited until John got home and asked him for a ride, but he was already doing enough for me as it was. I could do this one thing for myself, and if I was lucky, I’d be back home before he even got off work.

The bus came pretty fast—I barely made it to the stop in time. After catching two more buses, I finally made it near the neighborhood my mom lived in. Being over here again after so long made my skin crawl. I had no idea how I ever felt comfortable living in a place like this. It stunk heavily of hot urine and feces.
