“So, you want to fuck me then?” I asked, daring him to lie and deny the burning lust in his eyes.

“Without a doubt. However, when I do, you’ll be begging for my cock inside you, little one. Trust me.” He takes my hand and walks me out of the bedroom and downstairs. I’m trying to not show my desire, so I make sure he knows I’m not letting him inside me, no matter how hot he is.

“You can keep dreaming, because I don’t sleep with men like you,” I utter as we reach the bottom step. Dmitri just smiles, as if he doesn’t believe me. He leads me into a beautifully rustic dining room that has a large patio door, as if on perfect days it’s open to enjoy eating with a summer breeze.

“Where are my things?” I demand again, trying to fight for my freedom, even though a part of me is falling in love with the warmth of this place.

“As I told you before, in a safe place, malyshka.” He pulls out a chair for me, but I just stand there. “Now sit and eat. You must be hungry after your ordeal.”

“How do I know it’s not poisoned?” I grumbled, taking the seat.

“I wouldn’t have driven all the way out of Naples when I had important business there. I could have left you to those traffickers. Your father is a fool to have let you go across the world alone.”

“How do you know about my stepfather?” I asked, wondering how much he knows and if that’s the reason I was taken. Could he want money or a deal?

His brows knit together in confusion, but he flattens his expression and answers, “Your phone. Don’t look so outraged, my sweet. I had to make sure there were no other lovers to get in the way.” I gasp and sip my wine, trying to hide the blush.

Chapter Three

Dmitri

It’s good to know my bride-to-be hungers for me, even if she still has to get over the whole abduction thing. Her soft hand in mine felt right as I led her down to the dining room of my small getaway. I hope she’s not a vegetarian because she’s going to be hungry. My housekeeper and chef aren’t due to come here until tomorrow, since I wasn’t supposed to be here, so our dinner was a simple steak and salad that Mikhail whipped up. He’s a great cook and if he wasn’t a criminal, I think he would have become a professional chef.

Her attitude reminds me of an angry kitten. I want to pet and stroke her until she’s purring for me and rubbing her ass all on my lap.

“So what is a Russian doing living in the middle of Italy? Hiding out from your mob or something?” she sneers, giving more attitude than necessary, but I’ll correct her one way or another.

“Nyet, smart ass. I do a great deal of business in Europe, and it is one of my many homes.”

“Business? As in kidnapping?” she asks, arching her brow with a smirk on her sexy face. Lord, I want to bend her over my knee to redden her bottom.

“Kotyonok, what did I say about behaving?” I grab her by the wrist and pull her from her seat, dragging her onto my lap, which stiffens my already hard dick. She gasps, rubbing her bottom to feel the thick ridge. “If you don’t want it in you, I’d stop rubbing that juicy ass on me.”

“Sorry, it was just uncomfortable to sit,” she lies, turning her face away from mine so I can’t see the redness of her cheeks.

I grasp her chin and turn her face to meet mine. “You will learn quickly that I mean what I say, kotyonok. Since I saved your life, I believe that makes you mine.”

She freezes in my arms with that earlier bravado and sass fading away. I’m moving a million miles a minute with her, but life is short and I’m ready to settle down.

“What’s wrong? Does it frighten you that I’ve decided that you’re mine?” I ask, sliding my hands over her body.

She shakes her head just ever so slightly that it’s almost imperceptible, but I’m finding there isn’t a thing I haven’t noticed about her. “Tell me about your visit to Italy. Why did you come here and are you alone?”

“Yes, foolishly I came alone. I needed a break before my next year of college. It’s been a rough time since my mother passed away last year, and I’ve only had my stepfather to share in my grief.”

“I’m sorry about your mother. How did she pass?”

“A heart attack. They say it’s a silent killer for women, but it totally was for us. If she has symptoms, she never told either of us.” A terrible feeling hits me in the pit of my stomach. It could be nothing, but maybe it wasn’t a heart attack. Then again, maybe it’s just a series of unfortunate events to hit Cora in a short time.
