Before I could answer, he kept going like he’d barely held the words back to begin with. “You don’t have to answer anything you don’t want to.”

I had a feeling his dating life had been as spectacular as mine had lately.

“No, that’s not how this is going to work.” We were going to start off on the right foot. “I will answer the questions you ask me.”

If he was curious enough and brave enough to ask, I should answer.

“If you hit on something that I didn’t realize is sensitive, I will let you know and we can talk about coming back to it. Right now, there’s nothing I can think of that would make me react negatively, though.” The worst things about my life were my mother and my most recent ex, both of which I could talk about with only mild irritation for the most part.

Camden’s expression lost some of his sparkle. “Anything?”

“Yes.” Leaning back, I made an open book kind of gesture. “Ask away. Something totally not related to the Daddy stuff. What’s the first thing you’d be curious about but wouldn’t want to ask?”

His cheeks pinked but the way he was rocking back and forth slightly gave me the impression his little side liked the game. “Hmm…”

Yep, he was having fun with the turn the conversation had taken.

“What is the newest thing you figured out you were curious about?” He must’ve realized I didn’t know exactly what he meant when he leaned closer to the table and whispered. “I have an online friend who just realized he likes feet. He’s almost fifty and realized that he’s got a thing for anyone wearing high heels, not just women.”

Hmm.

“I can see how that might’ve gotten his wires crossed when he was younger.” Well, at least he’d figured that out before he got too old for it to matter. “Okay, so naughty curious.”

This was definitely a test, but it was one I had a good answer for.

“I’ve got a buddy who started dating a model a little while ago, but the modeling isn’t for regular fashion stuff. His boyfriend models sexy lingerie for an online store that sells men’s panties.” The way Camden’s eyes started to widen said my story was better than shoe guy’s.

Grateful to have more to talk about than high heels, I gave him a slightly sheepish smile. “I have to admit, until that point my exposure to kink and BDSM specifically was much more traditional and it opened my eyes.”

In my defense, the couple who’d first taught me about it were super old school and I’d never realized how old school until fairly recently. Thinking about everything the guys at Leashes and Lace had posted about had led me down some curious trails and that was how I’d noticed the chicken nuggets to begin with.

“It’s through that site and his new friends that I started researching stuff like puppy play and age play and just the more fun side of BDSM.” The lighter side was a better fit for me and part of me wished I’d found it in the very beginning.

“Lingerie?” Camden seemed to be stuck on that part but he didn’t ask anything more specific.

“Yep, they’re dramatic and all insane, but they’re sexy and it’s fun. I’ve never dated anyone that’s into that before, though.” It’d never come up, at the very least. “I think my social circle just got a bit too boring.”

And a bit unhealthy but that was a story for another date.

“So, you were asking about my thoughts on Daddies and littles?” My question had him nodding, but his gaze was still distracted looking and I wasn’t sure I had his complete attention. I wasn’t going to call him out on thinking about sexy guys in panties, though.

That would be for another date too.

“When we first walked in, I thought the coloring books and the binkie were fun and I loved seeing the chicken nuggets. I think you’d be a very cute little and nothing about that part of the lifestyle makes me uncomfortable.” I paused, waiting until I had more of his focus before I continued. “Nothing about it.”

I was untested in some things but not stupid.

That had him blushing again as his head bobbed nervously and he swallowed hard. “Okay, yes. I get it.”

But clearly didn’t want to talk about it.

I could live with that for the time being.

“Do you have another question for me or is it my turn?” I made sure my tone was teasing, but my question still had his eyes going wide again.

“Um, I guess we should take turns?” Licking his lips, he was cute as he tried to look confident. “Yes, we should take turns.”

“Okay. Well, first of all I’m going to say I was very proud of you for coming up with a good question.” He’d done a wonderful job going out on a limb.
