“You taste so incredible. I don’t know how I’ll manage to eat anything else until I get my tongue on your slick cunt again.” He brings his lips to mine, giving me a taste of my own orgasm. “Are you ready? Because there’s no going back once I fill you up.”

“Take me, Cormack,” I moan, arching my back and then rolling my hips.

With a groan, he plants his forearms on the bed before sliding forward, taking me in one long stroke. I bite back the pain of losing my innocence to the brutal prince of Dublin. “Did you think you could give me this virgin cunt for just one night and think it wouldn’t be mine for eternity? Silly woman, I’ll never get enough of you. You are my glory.” We kiss as he slowly drags his length in and out of me until we cry out and I come again. I claw his back as he stretches every inch of my womb before filling me with his release.

His muscled body cocoons me tightly as he turns us onto our sides, keeping himself inside me. I don’t think I can feel any happier.

“Mine,” he says in a sleepy, gruff voice, making me smile as we both settle into an exhausted sleep.

The sun beats through my hotel room through the thick gray curtains, filling me with warmth. I roll, attempting to snuggle into Cormack’s arms until I realize that the bed is empty beside me.

He left me.

Panic and doubt sink in at the reality of my situation. I’m alone in bed after giving a sexy mobster my virginity like the naive girl I am. Could I have been played? Was he aware that I knew who he was before we met?

I sit up in the bed, pulling the covers to my breasts which are insanely tender just like my core that throbs and aches without having taken a step. I rub the sleep out of my eyes and examine the room. It’s almost the same as I left it except for a large bouquet of yellow and red roses. Staring at them for a long time, I wonder if he brought them in himself before leaving me.

I climb off the bed, adjusting the bedsheet so I don’t trip. Rushing to the dresser, I bend down and breathe in the smell, smiling to myself. My heart thumps wildly as I grab the hotel stationery attached to the flowers. I plop down on the lounge chair near the window to read his note.

In a stiff, strong handwriting, he writes: My beauty and glory. I miss you already, but I had to go. My men have been warned that no one is to approach your door without your permission or they will pay heavily for it. I will return in two days’ time where we will prepare for our wedding. I’ve sent a message to your phone with my number. Do message me at any time. I will try to reply quickly, but I’m afraid it may take some time. Thank you, my love. Rest and food will be delivered when you are ready.

Yours, Cormack

I know where he’s at so the fact that he did this before he left this morning means so much more than he knows. Even though I understand it’s inappropriate and so out of character, I drop my sheet, grab my cell phone, and the roses.

Perhaps this can help with missing me a bit.

After I hit send, I dash into the shower because I’m too chicken to wait for his response. “What is he going to think of me?” I ask myself, washing up from last night’s intense experience. As much as I want to just lay in bed, I’m extremely hungry and could use a serious dose of caffeine. My phone rings and I think it’s Cormack, but it’s my father. Shit. I’m busted.

“Good morning, Papa or is it goodnight?” I ask, attempting to distract him from his tirade that’s to come considering all the rules I broke. I’m sure he’s pissed and scared which is all my fault, but I’m an adult and should be allowed to travel as I please.

“It’s night here, but that also depends on where you are. I’m assuming you’re still in Europe, right?”

“I am.”

“Why would you run away from your security detail? It’s to protect you?” he barks out which I get is just his fear sinking in and he’s letting it out.

As much as I understand where he’s coming from, I feel like he’s a bit overdramatic. “We don’t have enemies in the UK. Besides, I’m safe.” At least, so Cormack says. Goodness, I’ve fallen into Cormack’s sexy promises and let my naivete rule my head.

“Safe? You’re a beautiful young woman all alone. You need to watch crime shows like your sister because the risk is real. You may be tough, and you can fight some, but you’re no match for a man who will take what you aren’t willingly giving.”
