Every time she passes, Dawn shoots me a smile, and I respond because her happiness is infectious.

I think I know why she’s happy. We all heard the noises coming from her room this afternoon, and Lachlan caught Jared and Joshua leaving the room. Good sex obviously has a positive effect on our newest employee. It’d have a positive effect on me, too. It’s been a while, not because there haven't been opportunities, but because those opportunities just haven’t been that appealing. Pretty girls don’t always hit the spot if they don’t have a special spark. I’m not sure I could identify exactly what it is that I look for in a woman, but I know when I know.

I finish singing an upbeat tune, and the crowd ripples with low applause. Jared brings me a beer, and I take a grateful swig.

"Good tune," he says. "That one new?"

"Yeah. Thought I should freshen up the playlist."

He grins, his eyes drifting from me to follow Dawn, who’s carefully crossing the bar with a tray of beers resting on one hand.

"You look smitten," I say.

He shrugs in his laid-back way, like everything washes off him like water off a duck's back. "Dawn’s cool. Like, really cool."

"Cool. That’s an interesting word."

"You’ll see what I mean when you get to know her." His eyes continue to trail her as she returns to the bar and starts a conversation with his twin.

I clear my throat. "You guys really fuck her too?"

He nods, focusing his attention on me. "Fuck’s a harsh-sounding word."

"You made love?" I ask.

"Nah…it was more like we enjoyed each other’s bodies."

"Funny…that’s what Mitchell said."

"Dawn’s just really relaxed about life. She doesn’t seem to have any hang-ups. She just wants to enjoy herself, and sex is part of that."

"Sounds like the perfect girl."

"Yeah," he says, without any hint of doubt in his voice.

"You really like her?"

"What’s not to like?"

Joshua shouts his brother's name and Jared leaves to help with a big order.

As Dawn passes me, I wave her over, deciding it’s time for me to see what all the fuss is about.

"How are you getting on?" I ask, taking another long drink.

"Good," she says. "Everyone is just so friendly. You guys are all making me feel so welcome."

"Welcome is our middle name," I say, hearing the cheesy line and cringing. This isn’t me. I’m usually not flustered by women, but Dawn has an energy pulsing from her that’s both vibrant and sexual, and I completely understand why three of my best friends have already fallen for her charm.

"Thomas Welcome. Your mom had a sense of humor."

I snort, and tip my head to the side, letting my eyes trail over Dawn’s high cheekbones and soft mouth, the curve of her breast and the firmness of her thighs. Before I think about what I’m doing, I ask her if she’d like to learn how to make two of the bar’s signature cocktails.

"Sure," she says. "Are you allowed to stop playing?"

I shrug, and lumber off the stage, finding myself looming over Dawn, who’s smaller than her big personality allowed me to perceive. "We’re all equal partners here. We don’t tell each other what to do. We just work in the best interests of everyone."

"That sounds very democratic," she says, following me to the bar.

Lachlan is mixing drinks with Cooper and Logan. It’s Mitchell’s night off and he’s taken the opportunity to sleep.

I pick up a fresh coconut and begin to show Dawn how to make a Cloud 9, feeling the interested eyes of my friends.

With coconut cream, pineapple, vodka, and rum, it’s a lot like a pina colada, except there’s a special ingredient. A swirl of dark chocolate sauce.

Dawn’s eyebrows shoot up as I add the sauce. "Chocolate?"

She sounds as skeptical as I was when Lachlan came up with the idea. I finish dressing the coconut with two straws and two cherries on a stick and then hand it over to Dawn. "Here. Try it. You’re going to love it."

She holds the large coconut in two hands and wraps her soft pink lips around both straws. Her cheeks hollow as she sucks, and she keeps her eyes on mine the whole time. I don’t think she intends for me to start imagining filthy things. This is all about her trying a drink concoction that she suspects is going to taste gross, but all I can imagine is her lips wrapped around my cock and her eyes staring into mine as she takes it deep.

In my jeans, my dick stirs, ready. And I feel like a dick for not being able to look at a pretty woman without thinking about sex. Should have grown out of that in school. "So, what do you think?"

Dawn lowers the cocktail and I notice the coconut is nearly empty. "That is gooooood," she drawls.

Grinning broadly, I grab another shaker and fill it with ice. "See, I told you you were going to love it. Now we’ll see if you like Seventh Heaven."
