“I love you,” I tell her, kissing up her back, covering every inch of her skin as I pin her down beneath me.

“I love you, baby,” she giggles as the aftershocks of her orgasm cause her body to quiver. I shift my hips and feel that my cock is still hard inside her. Very slowly, I tilt my hips back and rut back inside her, causing her to gasp.

“That’s right, princess,” I whisper. “I’m still good to go, and I’m gonna show you just how much I love you, and how you’re gonna be mine forever.”

EPILOGUE

FINN

Five years later…

It’s a little past dawn when I slip out of bed, being careful not to disturb the soft, warm little bundle curled up against me. I’ll let Mira sleep. She needs it. But as I stand, I look down at her beautiful, smooth, bare leg, tangled up in the sheets, the sun catching a patch of her tousled hair. It’s been five years, and she’s still the most beautiful woman in the world to me.

And she’s mine.

Every inch of her beauty belongs to me.

Smiling, I head down the hallway toward the kitchen, but I don’t make it very far.

“Daddy!” A blur of curly brown hair and striped red pajamas slams into my leg. Our oldest daughter, Josie, wraps her arms around my thigh and looks up at me with eyes that match her mom’s completely. She tries to climb me, so I hoist her into my arms. Only four years old and she already rules my damn heart.

“Hey there, honey. Already awake?” I ask, pecking a kiss on her cheek. “Isn’t it a little early?”

Josie giggles and gives me a messy kiss back on the ear. “I heard your footsteps and thought you might be leaving again.”

That one hits me in the chest like a fist. I hardly ever have to travel for work anymore—not since Slate made me a full partner at Black Iron Bikes last year. It used to be a regular thing as I was the only one he trusted to make specific deliveries, but now that we hired Brian, I get to spend more time at home with my family.

And thank God for that, because when I am gone, Josie’s counting every second until I come home.

“The only place I’m going is the kitchen, sweetie.” I smile, lugging her down the hall on my hip. “You want some cereal?”

Josie pauses to think, then asks, “Can I have some chocolate milk?”

I know I should tell her that she can only have chocolate milk after she’s had her breakfast, but what can I say? Being a dad’s turned me into a softie—at least around my children. So I can’t stop myself from smiling as I look at her as I give in.

“Okay. Just don’t tell Mommy,” I say with a wink.

“Yippie!”

I set Josie down by her chair and take a bottle from the fridge. Behind me, I hear the soft pitter-patter of familiar feet, which I recognize without even having to look. I turn and see the twins, Jessica and Emily, standing there looking sleepy. Jess has her favorite stuffed dragon, and Emily has her hippo.

“Dadda…” Jess mutters quietly. They must have just crawled out of bed when they heard Josie and me walking down the hall.

I scoop them both up and kiss them on the cheeks before setting them down at the table. “I’m sorry we woke you, girls,” I tell them, retrieving the two cereal boxes from the pantry. “Everybody hungry?!”

Jess and Josie nod happily, but Emily looks like she’s ready to go back to bed. She nods, but it’s not what you’d call enthusiastic.

I smile as I serve them up, taking over what Mira normally does in the mornings when I’m at work. It’s Sunday, so I have the day off today, and we all decided it would be nice to just have a family day and maybe go down to the lake and do some swimming. Seeing as how my princess is still sleeping and Emily looks exhausted, maybe we’ll end up just hanging out around the house.

The house…

I take a breath as the kids dig in and look around the kitchen, out the back yard at the swing set and jungle gym, and feel a sense of warmth come over me. This is ours. My family’s. It may not be the Coolidge estate, but that’s also kind of the point.

After Mira’s dad tried to force her into a marriage with Tyler, she wanted to get away from him as soon as possible. She told me about how he was trying to leverage her mother’s cancer treatment to get her to obey, so I immediately started working longer shifts at the shop so we could afford to take over her payments. The Heartless Bastards also came in like a community charity and donated to her cause. It’s been four and a half years now, and she’s cancer free.
