All I can do is stutter. “I-I-”

“Focus, Xavier,” she barks.

“No. But it sure sounded like he enjoyed himself. All he cared about was how he could boast about it to his friends.” I clear my throat, avoiding her gaze because it’s too hard. “All I care about … is what you need.”

A beautiful, devilish smirk slowly forms on her face. “You care about my needs?”

My cheeks flush with heat so palpable it nearly singes the point of the blade as it etches into my skin. “I …”

Suddenly, a chair haphazardly runs through the forest beside us—no, not just a chair—a man attached to a chair.

And both of our eyes widen as we say in sync, “Perry.”

Sunny

I get off Xavier and bark, “Stay here.”

“Yes, ma’am,” he responds, groaning as I leave him with his soaked pants, along with a raging hard-on just for messing with my plans.

I snatch his knives off the grass and tuck them into my pocket before going for the chase. Perry’s still got that chair clenched to his ass, and it’s slowing him down like a snail. Not to mention how ridiculous it looks.

THWACK!

I thrust one of my knives at his ankles, and he tumbles to the ground, chair still stuck to his butt.

“Fuck!” he cries.

He tries to crawl back up, but I grasp him by the hair and drag him back with me to the area I left Xav in so he doesn’t bolt off into the other direction.

“You thought you could run away from me?” I growl at Perry.

“Get your hands off me, you witch!” He struggles in his seat.

I set him back down on the muddy ground in the field behind the trees, a few feet away from Xavier, who watches in awe while I pull two knives out of my pocket and drive each of them through his feet, mixing warm flesh with cracked bones, as I pin him to the very ground he tried to escape. He screeches out loud, wildly flinging himself around while foaming from the mouth.

“There is no escaping death,” I growl in his face.

“I didn’t fucking do anything!” he spits.

“Say that to the millions of people you sold drugs to,” I growl back.

He frowns, viscerally shaken. “That’s it? Drugs?”

He shakes around in his chair again, but I’m pretty sure he won’t get off the ground now, considering he’s literally nailed to the dirt beneath his feet. Just like a lowlife deserves.

I turn around and focus on Xavier, who crawls backward as if he’s afraid of me.

“Oh, c’mon, you wanted this. Why so scared?” I grin as I kneel in front of him.

“Because I know you’re mad at me,” he replies.

I tilt my head. “True. I do want to end you.”

His lip quivers. “Please …”

“Please, what?” I lean closer on my hands and feet, invading his space.

“Don’t kill me,” he mutters.

He looks so pretty when he begs like that.

I grab his throat, squeezing off his blood supply. “You think I’ll let you off the hook that easily?”

He whimpers. “I don’t wanna die.”

“Who said I was gonna let you?” I reply, as I let him breathe for just a second to watch the blood flush back into his dimpled cheeks. “I just want to have some fun with you.”

“What do you mean?” he mutters.

I tip up his chin, forcing him to look at me. “You wanted to watch, so don’t move and watch me like a good boy … and maybe I’ll reward you.”

He gulps. “Yes, ma’am.”

I approach Perry while pulling out my lipstick and line my lips with red, then smack my lips together and put the lipstick away again. He eyes me up and down, panic settling in his eyes as I lean in.

“Mine will be the last lips to ever touch your filthy skin again,” I whisper into his ear, before I press a single kiss onto his neck.

This is how I mark my victims before I sentence them to death.

I don’t care that I leave my DNA, because I’ll be long gone by the time the cops find his body. All I care about is finishing the people on my goddamn list, and I want them to know it was me so they’ll never be able to walk around without worrying where I’ll show up next.

I pull back and glance at Perry’s eyes, which reflect the madness in mine. I flick my knife, and he sinks into the chair and pisses himself.

“Aw… You gonna piss yourself now?” I laugh.

“Please.” He shakes his head. “Please, God, spare me.”

“I love hearing you fuckers beg, but it’s going to take a lot more than that for me to forgive anyone.”

I slice into his abdomen and watch the blood pour out.

“Please, please, tell me what I did wrong?” Perry begs.

“You know what you did.”

“I only sold drugs, that’s it,” he says. “But I don’t remember ever selling them to you.”
