He worshipped every inch of my skin with his hands and mouth as we came together slowly this time. It was reverent and loving, but he still murmured possessive, filthy promises about filling me with his come.

When he finally slid inside me, we moved together like we were made to be together like this. Each deep stroke felt like a vow. He held my gaze the entire time, whispering how much he loved me.

I came apart in his arms with his name on my lips, and he followed right after, burying himself deep as he filled me with heat.

Afterward, he held me close against his chest, one hand resting protectively over my stomach like he was already imagining our future there. I traced the lines of his tattoo and smiled softly.

I had run from death and found something so much better than the life I’d been perfectly happy with before. I had chosen the man who would burn it all down before he let anything touch our family or me.

EPILOGUE

REV

We finally dragged ourselves from the tangled sheets, where we’d spent a good portion of the night celebrating the two pink lines we’d seen a couple of hours ago. Having worked up an appetite, we pulled on comfortable clothes and slipped quietly out of my room and headed downstairs. The clubhouse had grown quiet after the celebration for Edge and Callie’s son, Travis, first birthday. The only faint traces were the warm glow of string lights and scattered glasses around the tables in the lounge.

Delaney stayed close beside me, tucked firmly beneath my arm, wearing an old, faded Redline Kings sweatshirt that hung loose on her petite frame, paired with soft pajama shorts that teased me with every step she took. I kept my hand on her waist as we moved through the clubhouse, feeling the warmth of her body radiating through the worn fabric. It took every ounce of restraint I had left not to pull her back upstairs again.

We stepped into the quiet clubhouse kitchen, the familiar scent of coffee lingering in the air, mixed with the faint aroma of baked goods from the party earlier. I moved toward the fridge, pulling out a few things I knew Delaney would like, glancing over my shoulder to find her watching me with a soft smile.

“Hungry?” I asked quietly, offering her a slight grin.

She laughed softly, her cheeks flushed. “Maybe a little. I think you managed to help me work up an appetite.”

I chuckled, moving toward her and resting my hands on her hips. “Careful, angel. Keep talking like that, and you’re going right back upstairs.”

Her eyes sparkled, and she lifted onto her toes, pressing a teasing kiss to the corner of my mouth. “Promise?”

Before I could answer, heavy footsteps moved through the hallway nearby, accompanied by the sudden harsh slam of a door. Both Delaney and I turned toward the sound. A moment later, Blitz appeared from the shadows, his normally easygoing expression tense and shadowed in a way I rarely saw from him.

He stopped abruptly when he spotted us, clearly not expecting company in the kitchen at this hour. For half a second, a flicker of discomfort passed across his face, quickly masked behind his usual casual demeanor. But I knew him too well; something was deeply off, hidden beneath the carefully constructed nonchalance.

“Didn’t realize anyone was still up.” He ran a hand through his hair as if trying to clear his thoughts. His gaze briefly flicked toward Delaney, lingering just long enough for me to notice something tighten in his jaw, dark and complicated but quickly gone.

“You good, brother?” I asked carefully.

Blitz rarely let anything shake him visibly, and seeing that subtle tension in his demeanor set off quiet alarms in my head. He nodded, shrugging my concern off with practiced ease. “Just dealing with some bullshit.”

He shifted, as if to turn and leave, and something slipped from the folder in his hand, landing softly on the kitchen floor. Delaney leaned forward, picking up the photo that had fallen free. She glanced down at it briefly, then handed it back to him carefully. “Who’s she?”

Blitz’s expression hardened, something quietly furious flickering in his eyes as he took the picture from Delaney’s fingers. For a tense moment, he didn’t answer. Finally, he shook his head. “No one.”

The quiet intensity in his voice told me everything I needed to know. This wasn’t just club business; it was personal. Something rooted deep that involved the woman in the photograph. Blitz wasn’t one to show emotion easily, but the edge of anger and betrayal in his voice was impossible to miss.

He turned to leave without another word, disappearing down the hallway and leaving Delaney staring after him in confused silence.

She glanced up at me, her brow furrowed. “Is he okay?”

I exhaled, shaking my head. “Not sure. Blitz doesn’t normally get rattled.”
