Her next orgasm rolled through her with the force of an uncontrollable boulder crashing down a mountain. Her body shook with the exquisite pleasure that rocked her. Carina panted to regain her breath as he kissed her inner thigh before retracing his path up her torso. Never in a rush, Marcus took the scenic route, completely unhurried. He lavished attention on a meandering route, teasing and rebuilding her desire with devastating skill.

“You are gorgeous when you come, Carina. Almost as delicious as you taste. Completely fuckable and lovable,” he praised her.

She loved his naughty words. To her amazement, Carina felt sexy with Marcus. She didn’t worry about her many flaws. Marcus didn’t seem to notice them. He definitely didn’t care about them.

As he settled between her legs, Carina caressed his back, loving the bulky glide of his muscles under her fingertips. His raw power and strength fascinated and thrilled her. He stroked his shaft through her pink folds, brushing over her clit with each movement.

“Little girl. You are safe from disease and pregnancy with me. Are you ready for me to make you mine?”

“If you don’t, I may start looking for that mythical stake,” she told him, teasing but not really joking. She wasn’t afraid of cementing their connection now. Each of his actions throughout the night had revealed his true nature. Carina ached for him to fill her both physically and emotionally. The intimate heat inside her had reached a boiling point. “I need you now, Marcus.”

“Then you shall have me.”

With that statement, Marcus pressed slowly into her tight channel. His thick girth stretched her. When she struggled to take him, Marcus claimed her lips. He kissed her with a skill that captured her attention as he continued to slide inside her. His distraction worked perfectly.

“Good girl,” he complimented when his pelvis reached hers. “I told you we’d fit.”

“That was a dirty trick,” she whispered as she struggled to process being filled completely by him. Carina had never felt like another lover had merged with her into one. She and Marcus were fused together.

His lips curved in a sensual smile that boosted the scorching heat inside her. Could anyone be as handsome as Marcus? She reached up to thread her fingers through his hair and dragged his enticing lips to hers.

Marcus roamed over her with his hands as he moved inside her. Each touch tempted and tantalized her. Carina had never had such a lover. Each stroke of his shaft inside her ignited her passion until she expected to combust.

Those hot lips showed her how much he cherished and desired her. When they traced a line of kisses down her throat, Carina lifted her chin, inviting more. Lightning fast, he sank his teeth into her vein. Overwhelming bliss cascaded through Carina. She clung to Marcus for stability as her body exploded and everything turned black.

Chapter

Seven

Marcus hugged his mate against his chest. She had not stirred following her climax triggered by him savoring her blood. Her mind had retreated into unconsciousness, allowing her body to rest and recover. Marcus brushed her hair back from her cheeks, memorizing the satisfied look on her face. He vowed to see that expression often.

Marcus?

The technology specialist’s voice sounding in his mind instantly grabbed Marcus’s attention. Bram? What’s going on?

Ten men are casing the exterior of Nightfall. They are checking for a path inside.

Marcus took stock of the security forces he’d left in charge at the nightclub. He had three crew members in Nightfall currently. Where are the vandals?

Vandal doesn’t seem to be the right term for them. There are two leaders. Well-trained in covert operations from my view in the cameras.

On my way to check them out. Keep everyone out of sight. I’ll handle this personally.

Eager for a fight, are you? Humor filled Bram’s voice. He understood how the predator in Marcus needed to be released once in a while.

I’ll be there soon. Marcus didn’t answer such an obvious question. Cut the exterior lights, Bram. They’ll be comfortable with the darkness when I arrive.

By the time Marcus’s connection with Bram ceased, he had slipped his arm from under his precious mate’s head and had settled her on the fluffy pillows. He pressed a kiss on her forehead and mentally reinforced her need for sleep. That would keep her in restorative rest until he returned.

Quickly, he dressed and let himself out of her apartment in seconds. Marcus took the stairs to the top of the building and raced over the rooftops, evading detection. He clung to the darkness as he checked out the humans shifting in the shadows below. Two groups of five men approached Nightfall from the alleyways on the back two sides of the building.

He focused on the first group of men who lurked inside the mouth of the alley on the west side of Nightfall. The huddled group seemed to be waiting. The hushed whispers reached his enhanced hearing easily. Marcus memorized the names they shared. All men wore balaclavas. The knitted hoods revealed only their eyes and mouth. They ranged in size from slender to heavily muscled. He would need to handle these guys quietly.
