Fuck. That fire will never leave her.
“So what now?” she asks. “Are you just gonna leave me tied up here?”
I rub my fingers through my hair, nostrils flaring. “You deserve nothing less.”
A devilish smile tips up her lips, catching me off guard. “Who would have thought that Detective Foley is just like me?” She giggles louder and louder, and it unnerves me so much that I keep stepping backward, and I grab everything I own and march off toward the door, while she yells after me.
“You can leave me here to rot, but I will never leave your mind, Foley. I’ve already invaded it. You’re mine.”
She keeps laughing, even as I close the door and waltz out of the building to get as far away from that demon woman as I possibly can before the single thread that holds my morals together breaks.
Because fuck me, I am nearly ready to run right back in there and fuck her straight into the fucking concrete walls of this building until we both become part of its bloody history.
But I must stay on course. I’ll do as we agreed, but I won’t stop hunting for the truth.
One way or another, these criminals are going to jail, and I will be the one to put them there.
Sunny
I stare at the concrete in front of me, my mouth still tasting like an afterthought of him.
Guess I got what I had coming for me.
Then again, I never expected Detective Foley to actually have the balls to use me like some fuck doll just out of spite, only to discard me after.
That man has far darker tendencies than he lets on. The outside world may not know of his depravity, but I do, which makes it all the more special for me.
I smile, then glance up at the cuffs keeping me in place.
Now what am I going to do about this, though?
He just sauntered off and left me here all by myself, just like I did to him. I’m impressed. I didn’t think he had the balls to do it. I jerk on the cuffs, but it’s no use. Of course, he chose this goddamn spot to tie me up.
Guess there’s only one option left. I kick off my boot and grab it with my other foot to turn it around far enough so that my emergency cell phone, which I’ve been using to find all my targets, drops out. I’m so glad Detective Foley didn’t manage to find this.
I open the screen with my toe and sift through all my contacts, where, all the way at the bottom, it says Xavier Caruso. It dials for just one second before he picks up.
“Sunny?”
Of course, he knows it’s me. After all, he went snooping through all of my stuff, like an obsessive little sub.
“Do you know how to track phones?” I ask him.
“Are you in trouble?” he asks.
“Maybe.”
“I heard Felix was pissed off that Foley came to his office again. Don’t tell me it has something to do with you, please.”
I can hear his worried sigh on the other end of the line, and I roll my eyes. It’s so pathetic, it’s cute.
“I’m at the same warehouse where you were snooping on me. Come find me.”
“Of course, right away, ma’am.”
Such a proper gentleman. “Oh, and bring a saw. One that cuts through metal.”
“A saw?” His voice fluctuates in tone.
“Just do as I say, pup.”
He gulps. “Yes, ma’am, of course.”
“And if you don’t have one, ask Orion. TTYL.”
I turn off the convo.
Maybe these two subby boys of mine do come in handy. I mean, what’s a girl gonna do when she’s trapped in a warehouse? Call on her two little pets and demand their assistance before either of them freaks out because she’s missing.
I smirk to myself.
But if sucking dick was all it took to keep me out of prison and my boys safe, I got off easy.
CHAPTER 30
Xavier
I haphazardly park the car and turn off the engine, but right before I jump out, there’s a grating voice right next to me. “Aren’t you forgetting something?”
I glance at Orion, who’s holding up a giant saw like it’s a toy to him. “You asked me to bring it.”
I snatch it out of his hands and jump out of the car. “Thanks.”
I shut that door and waltz toward the building.
“Wait, she’s here?” he asks. “What’s she doing here?”
“Don’t ask,” I reply.
I don’t want to be spilling her secrets when I don’t have her permission.
I scan the area to make sure no one is watching before we go inside.
“Okay, then what are we waiting for? Let’s go,” Orion says impatiently, as he pulls open the creaky door.
I push past him and waltz inside, only to come to a full stop when I spot her standing barefoot against the concrete wall with her skirt pushed up and her panties torn. Her hands are cuffed to a pipe, and in front of her is a single chair.
