Kage Wilde doesn’t play well with others.

Kage Wilde thrives in solitude. A hunter and outdoorsman, he lives off the grid, avoiding society and trusting few. But when his ruthless grandfather demands his return to their corrupt family empire, Kage is thrust into a fight to protect his principles—and his freedom.

Poet Constantine is a dedicated museum taxidermist who finds solace in nature and the quiet life she’s built with her beloved aunt. Though content, she yearns for a deeper connection. When her work leads her to Kage’s remote world, she’s unprepared for the untamed, magnetic man who turns her life upside down. Tall, tattooed, and dangerously captivating, Kage awakens a desire she can’t deny. What begins as an unnerving encounter, quickly transforms into an intense, undeniable connection.

Kage’s raw intensity draws Poet in, while her warmth and strength ignite something in him he didn’t know he was missing. But the patriarch of the Wilde dynasty won’t let him go without a fight, and his grandfather’s schemes threaten to destroy the fragile happiness they’ve found together. As danger looms and the hunter becomes the hunted,

Kage and Poet must stand together against the storm. Their love may be powerful, but will it be enough to survive the chaos? A gripping romance filled with fiery passion, unyielding suspense, and raw desire, this story will leave you breathless until the final page.

From USA Today bestselling author Tiana Laveen comes Book three of the 7 Deadly Kins series. Come along for a dark love story packed with nail-biting suspense, retribution and yearning. ‘The Lone Wolf – Sloth’ is an exciting, forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, emotional scars, dark secrets, possessive alpha hero, bad boy contemporary romance. It’s the third installment in the series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It has no cliffhanger, and has a HEA (Happily-ever-after). This book includes mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences—reader discretion is advised. Please look inside under the ‘Trigger Warnings’ for possible topics that may be deemed personally objectionable

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

Kage crouched beneath the dense coppice of trees, his knee pads sinking into the cool earth. An unnerving silence surrounded him and clung to his nerves like a cloak, heavy with layers of caution, and wet with the sweat of a million petrified spectral apparitions. The morning sun had only shown one glowing, soft yellow finger from beyond the veil of sheer darkness, whispering softly to clustered, murky clouds. An owl hooted in the distance, perched upon a tall, wiry tree. Kage fixated on his target. He looked through the scope of his rifle, paying attention to what was both seen and unseen.

Drivels of sweat poured down his face—a warm, tickling sensation followed before the droplets seeped into his eyebrows, mustache and beard. The acrid flavor of cold coffee repeated across his tongue as he swallowed his disappointment in life itself. The shifting of shaky shadows and blackening of trees forced him to perch higher from his kneeled position to get an accurate assessment. The slight swing in the foliage offered sparse illumination among hints of green and brown. And now, he was more certain than ever. Shiny, slick eyes shimmered in the distance, frantically adjusting to the ebb of the night and penetrating brush. A spark of light reached his iris. Doe. A deer… Drop of mornin’ sun…

BANG!!! BANG BANG!!!

An animalistic groan emitted high and wide from the source, followed by a thud. He stayed put, and when he heard another snap, he shot again.

BANG! BANG!

…And again.

Thud.

Silence.

He waited, his face now a hot, sweaty mess, and his muscles taut with pulsating adrenaline, the blood coursing through his veins like hot lava. He patiently lingered until his intuition told him it was time to rise and show himself. Standing slowly to his full height of six foot seven, he took steady steps to collect the white-tailed deer. After a short three minute trek, successfully navigating past the multiple squirrel traps on his property, he reached the bounty. Two.

He scooped them up onto his shoulders. The warmth of their heavy frames turned into dead weight against his twisting and turning back. He moved much slower as he neared his house, the weight of both deer growing heavier with each step. With his rifle in one hand, and his other keeping the prey steady, he managed. As soon as he arrived at the front door, he placed his gun against the porch, pressed his thumb on the sensor, and at the chime and click, entered the house.

He locked the door behind him, then took a deep breath. His newly built home still smelled strongly of crisp cedar and cypress lumber, leather and moss. The odors stung his nostrils, blending with the sweet, nauseating bouquet of freshly shed blood.

Heading to the back of his home, he entered a room created specifically for his hunting, fishing, and work supplies. It was a cool, darkish room, with only one small window, tall walls, and lots of shelves. In the middle was a large metal sloped table, like one may see in a butcher shop. At the end of it were stacks of large buckets used to collect the innards, haul water, or wash the concrete floor.

He let one deer slip off his shoulder onto the table, followed by the other on top of it. Reaching for the overhead light, he tugged the chain, and the electricity buzzed and hummed for a few moments.

The preys’ eyes were glassy and troubled. Satisfied with his handwork, he turned on his mp3 player that sat on a work bench in the corner with bits of white paint dappled along it. ‘COLTER WALL – IMAGINARY APPALACHIA – The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie’ banged from the speaker. He grabbed a pair of black latex gloves from a box of fifty, slipped them onto his large, tattooed hands, then put on a black, floor length butcher smock. Grabbing some meat-cutting shears and an axe that hung from the rafter, he got to skinning his meat, humming to the music, his hand steady and his eye precise.

Peace settled over him. He placed their hides into bags and worked diligently, until each one was sectioned into approximately twenty-one pieces, including their heads. A bit over an hour had come and gone, but it felt like a mere five minutes. He turned towards the window and winked at the sun, then opened it wide to allow a bit more ventilation. The buckets were now filled to the brim with tissue, membranes, blood and bone. He turned on two industrial sized fans, letting them oscillate. The all too familiar coppery aroma of death filled his lungs. He caught his reflection in a metal paper towel dispenser as he moved about. His face was speckled with runny red splotches, and his hair that he’d tucked behind his ear, was partially dyed dark pink. He grinned at himself, proud as he was. Painted in pleasure.

From USA Today bestselling author Tiana Laveen comes Book two of the 7 Deadly Kins series. Come along for a dark love story packed with suspense, vengeance and desire. ‘The Black Sheep – Greed’ is an exciting sibling’s best friend, opposites attract, emotional scars, bad boy, possessive alpha hero contemporary romance. It’s the second installment in the series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It has no cliffhanger, and has a HEA (Happily-ever-after). Part 1 and Part 2 of this book have been published ON THE SAME DAY, therefore there is no wait for the conclusion. This book includes mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences—reader discretion is advised. Please look inside under the ‘Trigger Warnings’ for possible topics that may be deemed personally objectionable.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

Roman swallowed the vile, bitter flavor that settled on his thick and heavy tongue. His mouth was jam-packed with the sharp tang of iron, and he could feel the slight wiggle of a side tooth. His jaw throbbed from the firm fist that had landed against his chin, shocking him out of a sound sleep. Now, he was more than fully awake.

“Shit.” He spat blood onto the concrete floor of the jail cell. When he spoke, cool air zipped past his open mouth, sending a chilled ache that shot straight into his skull. Pushing the discomfort aside, he yelled out, “Guards. Gotta package for ya!” He kicked the loaf of human flesh that lay inches from him. His jail-assigned beige Croc-style shoes were peppered with specs of freshly spewed blood. He swallowed yet again, his brain buzzing and his anger filling every cell of his body like jelly in a donut. He placed his hand against his jawbone and stroked it, feeling it go slightly numb.

The taste in his mouth worsened with each moment. It tasted like a million pennies soaked in rancid lemon juice. He stood still in the middle of the jail cell, waiting for the aftermath. A man he barely knew was at his feet, cradled in a fetal position. Knocked out cold. Splashes of blood dotted the cot of the lower bunk bed, and the floor was now painted glossy red—a canvas of crimson human fluids.

His battered knuckles began to pulsate as his adrenaline high came tumbling down, and reality set in. He’d be in deep shit if he didn’t talk fast, and think even faster. Brisk footsteps approached, turning into an all-out booted sprint. The rattling of bars, warnings, curses, and echoing screams from nearby jail cells drifted to him as furious men were chomping at the bit to be heard. Two correctional officers arrived, the one in the forefront’s mouth tight and his dark eyes wide as he looked into the enclosure. With a shaky hand, the other one grabbed his radio and began yelling into it.

“We need back up! Medics. Hands on deck. Prisoner assault. Cell 13C. Wilde and Miller. Miller down. Appears to be badly injured. Possibly deceased.”

His bare chest heaved as he remained still. He trained his eyes on the two officers who stared back at him as if he were some monster.

“You got anything on you, Wilde?!” one of them yelled as they made way to open the door.

“Just your mama’s lipstick stain around my dick. You can tell my grandaddy, the fucker who conspired against me in order to get me tossed behind bars, that I received his present. I removed the bow, then took care of his little problem.”

The only problem was that Chad Miller wasn’t little at all…

Chad Miller was a six-foot six psychopath with long, wild red hair, blank blue eyes, and crude tattoos that lined his bloated body. According to the rumor mill from the other inmates shouting during the fracas, Chad was known to get handsy with folks he believed he could shake down—for anything as minor as a cigarette, to their whole damn bank account balance. He was a bully with manipulative ways. Feared by many, hated by most.

More officers arrived. Roman was ordered to put his hands up, asked if he had any weapons, serious injuries, and the regular spiel. Mayhem ensued once that gate swung all the way open and they poured inside. He was pushed down into the bloody swamp that was formerly a concrete floor. A red river streamed from Miller’s body as he lay there looking nothing short of deceased. His eyes half open, he stared vacantly across the room as if his all-inclusive dreadful soul had been knocked out of the frame. Roman was cuffed and dragged out like a sack of potatoes. He felt the jab of a Billy club to his side, the slap of a clammy hand across his face, and someone grabbing the back of his head, and whacking it. Typically, everyone involved would have been kissing the fucking floor, but he let them show off and exert their power as he took his walk of fame. Besides, the big fish he wanted to fry wasn’t quite on the hook yet.

As he placed one foot in front of the other, he was cheered on as he was marched away from the scene of the crime and tossed into an office, starkly decorated in white and gray. The door was slammed and locked behind him. He looked around and noticed a spot to park, so he sat down in one of two of the hard, old wooden chairs situated in front of a small metal desk. He looked down at his chest and legs, both covered in Miller’s blood. Wasn’t long before some jail official came into the room with a phone and recorder, offered him a bottle of water, and got down to business.
Don't play with him. You'll lose at your own game...

Roman and Genesis are swept away by a passion that seems unstoppable. But their love story is quickly threatened by a ruthless patriarch who demands loyalty—and a deadly price for it. The weight of his nefarious demands could shatter everything Roman has fought so hard to build.

As dark secrets loom, threatening to destroy their future, Roman knows time is running out. His past—once buried deep in between the pages of a book—begins to resurface, and the stakes have never been higher. With everything on the line, Roman and Genesis make a desperate pact to protect their love and everything they’ve worked for.

No more silly games. Roman pulls every trick he’s learned, revealing the depths of his duplicity. The mask slips, and the patriarch may soon learn that some black sheep don’t follow—they lead, and this black sheep hunts until the prey gasps for its last breath…

It has no cliffhanger and has a HEA (Happily-ever-after). This book includes mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences—reader discretion is advised. Please look inside under the ‘Trigger Warnings’ for possible topics that may be deemed personally objectionable.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PART 2 of Black Sheep – Greed

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

The Promised Land

Grandpa Wilde stood inside an old, dilapidated barn that smelled of old leather from several abandoned horse saddles, rotting hay, and damp earth. It may not have been much to look at, with the ramshackle silage, random bits of debris, plentiful old cobwebs, and antiquated, broken-down farming equipment, but the land it was on was invaluable.

The same land he’d stood on as a young man with a special young lady. So very long ago… The same land that was coveted in the community back in his day. Where the wealthy came for clandestine meetings, elaborate southern dinners after church, and live fiddle concerts from some of the best musicians in all of Houston. When he looked over yonder, he could still envision the big white house that had once stood there. It had two winding porches, balconies, a butler and maid entrance, beautiful white and pink roses, and horse stables occupied by healthy stallions and gorgeous ponies. Now there was nothing more there than fragments of rotten plywood, broken shards of dust covered glass and pottery, overgrown weeds, and an old blue shutter that had somehow missed being tossed away with the rest of the housing wreckage. Right before the home was bulldozed, squatters utilized the place.

It had no heat, air, or running water. No plumbing, but it was such a lofty, magnificent estate, that it attracted vagrants all the same. The copper was plundered, and any squirreled away or forgotten items that may have brought in a dollar or two, were stolen and hawked to pawn shops. Some claimed, even many years back when he was a young man, that it was haunted. It was the Allen family’s land. Oil folks, but they’d all gone and abandoned the place when Mr. Theodore Allen came into serious legal trouble due to some salacious scandals that erupted regarding his abuse of some minor boys. The details were ghastly and haunted the entire community. The family fled in a panic; their lives threatened after such incredulous accusations were met with proof found in the attic. A big heaping collection of photographs of unclothed teenage boys.

He ruined his life due to his perversions… He ruined his family… Brought shame to his wife and children. I remember that house. It was a beacon of hope and life. Somethin’ to aspire to. He turned it into a place of ill repute and misery. Dem boys had a hard time getting out from under that once the truth came out. Honorable men don’t do such things. No sir! Goes to show you that not all that glitters is gold.

The house used to be a showstopper. Big bashes, fancy parties with the best liquor, and saucy dancing on Saturday evenings. He was never invited. His impoverished father sure as hell wasn’t either. The surname Wilde was banned from such events. But sometimes he came anyway. Drifting in the darkness. Behind a bush or in the stable with the livestock. He wanted to observe how wealthy people lived. In the daytime, and nighttime, too. He’d sometimes manage to slip in through the butler door and take a memento. A silver fork, a tiny porcelain teacup for his mama, or a slice of vanilla cream cake. He enjoyed mostly just looking in the windows.

Watching the people dance in their nice threads, laughing at jokes that weren’t all that damn funny. It got to a point where he didn’t always enjoy watching it though. He started to hate the people. It was like they were in a beautiful snow globe, and he was in a chow line. Dresses flowing with each step a spoiled princess of a woman made. Flutes filled with bubbling libations. Trays of appetizers he couldn’t even pronounce. Yes, he could see it all still in his mind… Fresh like it just happened only a day ago. When the property was vibrant and ripe with wealth, robust plants, trees, and cattle, he wanted what Mr. Allen had. Cyrus Wilde was just a poor country boy though… trying to figure out how to get his hands on the keys to success. On riches. He figured out early the rich acquired admiration and social supremacy. The poor got nothin’ but spit at, made fun of, and turned away. He swore that one day that when he was able, he’d purchase that beautiful place for his bride, and prove himself worthy of the estate. Tina loved that house, too…

He promised her that land would be theirs in the near future, and he’d build her the house of her dreams on it. They’d get married, have babies, and live out the rest of their days together. She chastised him and called him foolish. After all, they were both quite young, he hadn’t made anywhere near the money he possessed now, and they had other issues to contend with, too—but he didn’t care. He’d made a promise. And he planned to stick by it, with or without her believing his promise. Today was that day.
His bite is as deadly as his bark…

BOOK 1 and PART 1 of the 7 Deadly Kins

Lennox Wilde is protective, loyal, and everyone’s friend. Or so it appears... Lennox is known in different circles, to be ruthless when threatened, and revenge-seeking when crossed. By day, he’s a personal trainer; by night, a bouncer at a dance club. Despite his wealthy background, he’s rejected his family’s fortune to prove his independence and be his own man.

Nadia ‘Velvet’ Deere, an exceptionally bright and talented exotic dancer, has aspirations of completing her law degree. Her goals are thwarted by a potentially deadly admirer, resentment, hurt, and unwavering ghosts from her past.
A chance encounter with Lennox, an old friend, rekindles a deep connection. But Nadia, afraid to fully open herself up to conceivable disappointment, resists his advances.

Lennox is not one to take no for an answer, and the two journey on an adventure of discovery and love. However, their voyage takes a fatal turn. As their world’s collide, things become dangerously unstable and treacherous.

From USA Today bestselling author Tiana Laveen, comes Book one of the 7 Deadly Kins series. Come along for a dark love story packed with suspense, revenge and passion. ‘The Top Dog – Lust’ is an exciting friends to lovers, second chance, destined for love, possessive alpha hero, bad boy, Southern contemporary romance. It’s the first installment in the series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It has no cliffhanger, and has a HEA (Happily-ever-after). This book includes mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences; reader discretion is advised. Please look inside under the ‘Trigger Warnings’ for possible topics that may be deemed personally objectionable.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

Welcome, folks. My name is Anderson Wilde, and I’m seventeen years old. Today, I’m at my grandfather’s house. I figured I’d take you on a tour and explain what you’re gonna see today. It’s amazing, isn’t it? huge, too. Like a big museum. This isn’t his only house though. My grandfather owns a lot of houses. A lot of land. A lot of buildings. A lot of businesses. And a lot of people…

He’s a bit of a collector of people, too. Hell, he’s been married five times. They say his second wife, I think she was common-law, was Ms. Tina, was the love of his life. According to my mom, she was the one that got away, but I have a hard time imagining that Grandpa really ever loved any woman in that sort of way. I mean, yeah, I’m just a kid my parents say, but I’m not stupid. I might even be wrong. I don’t know just yet. Rumor has it, she just up and disappeared. Some believe she’s dead. Others said she’s hiding. Hiding from who? I think you know…

Anyway, I come from a large family. Larger than most, I imagine. Grandpa had a bunch of kids. He’s got nine living sons and three daughters from those five marriages of his. Oh, and one son from an affair that nobody talks much about. Another son of his is adopted: his third wife’s child from a previous marriage, my Uncle Danny. He has more grandchildren and great grandchildren than I can count—including me, of course.

I have so many cousins spread all over the state of Texas, and only get to see all of them under one roof on Thanksgivin’ and Christmas. The holidays are always nice around here. That’s when we all get together and have a great time. Aunts talk about how big so and so is getting, who’s pregnant, who got promoted, and who looks just like their daddy. That seems to be a common theme. Kinda silly if you ask me, but, to be honest, some of us do favor. People say me and my dad have my grandfather’s eyes, for instance. A lot of us do, I imagine. That’s funny considering all of Grandpa’s different wives. He must have strong genes. You may be wondering now what Grandpa looks like since I brought it up? Whatever you think he looks like, you’re more than likely wrong.

My grandpa looks like a fit, tanned Santa Claus. It sounds funny, don’t it? But it’s true. Head full of silky white and silver hair that goes down his back, a matching mustache and beard. He’s a handsome old man, for sure, and pulls women half his age with no issue. I’ve seen ’em sneaking in at night, and leavin’ bright and early in the morning. He’s strong, even in his seventies. He’s seventy-three to be exact, but doesn’t look a day over sixty. Takes good care of himself.

He wields a gold cane, one of many in his collection, but doesn’t need it. I think he just likes how it looks. Style and fashion. He wears two signature bulky diamond rings, one of them a gold bull with diamonds for eyes. A longhorn, like his nickname. Grandpa says he’s an animal, and all the best men in his family are animals. Animals belong in the zoo. I’m not really sure what that means. Anyway, he wears dark tailored business suits and hand sewn silk ties. Grandpa always says a man should look sharp from the time he steps out of his bedroom to the moment his head hits the pillow, even if that pillow is in a casket. He has an entire room full of nothin’ but high-priced cowboy boots and big, beautiful cowboy hats. Yeah, he’s rich as all outdoors, but he shares.
The bass hammered and pulsated within the atmosphere, making one feel alive. Lennox glanced at his iWatch, noting the time, then headed towards the other end of the club. He and several other bouncers made their usual rounds, rotating stations every now and again.

Wearing a black sports jacket and matching pants, he caught his image in a mirrored wall, gleaming with reflected flashing lights. His black hair had grown out a bit and was brushed back from his forehead, exposing his lowbrow, thick eyebrows and the fire in his satin gray eyes with gold flecks. Darkness flashed in his vision, in his soul, and in his heart, but there was light at the end of the tunnel. He could feel the black heat on his heels, as if something invisible but wicked was shadowing him within each step he took. Yet, he didn’t run.

Nevertheless, something had his dander up. Something unseen and unheard. Nadia should have called me back by now. Hasn’t she left yet? He glanced at his iWatch once again, then stood by the bar sizing up the inebriated and high people swaying on the dance floor. He tried desperately to stay focused on the job at hand, but it proved to be far more difficult than he imagined. It wasn’t like Nadia to not call him when she got off work, and with all of the shit going on as of late, he was resolute to keep tabs on her. After all, this was her last night at the gentleman’s club—and afterwards, she was to go home. They’d agreed that he would meet her at her apartment after he got off work.

His phone buzzed, signaling a text message. Hoping it was her, he reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his phone, but was disappointed to see it was some random email. He figured it was spam, but opened it and read it anyway. His face warmed with happiness once he got to the final sentence of the message.

Tonight wasn’t so bad after all. He sat on the good news for a few moments, relishing it, then sent Nadia a text message inquiring about her whereabouts so he could tell her, too. He waited a few minutes. She didn’t respond.

Concern welled in his throat forming an itchy knot, and he couldn’t speak. What was he to do with these feelings that were clouding his good spirits? And then it hit him. Back in the day, there was someone he always contacted when he had good news. Someone who’d been a friend from the day she’d been born—and one of the few people he trusted. Someone he missed dearly. Was this a good time to mend fences? Would he be ignored as usual? Or would good luck strike twice in the same night?

He radioed to another bouncer.

“Hey, Steve.” Static erupted on the walkie-talkie. “Can you hear me? Over.”

“This is Steve. 10-4. Hey Lennox. What it do? Over.”

“I gotta make an important call. I’m leavin’ my post, but will be back in a jiffy. Over.”

“Copy that. Do what you need to do. Over and out.”

Lennox made his way into a little office at the back of the club. The large metal desk was covered with files, crunched up receipts, and various papers, some of them stamped with the words, ‘Invoice’. He proceeded to make the call, remaining standing in the middle of the room, amid all the mess. Muffled music drifted to the room, the song indistinguishable as he called a number from his contacts that was etched in his memory.
