Every year, Bad leaves the club for a few short hours to take care of … something. Ten years ago, his best friend died in a driveby shooting, leaving Charity alone. Bad was told to stay away from her. She was his best friend’s little sister, and so, he did. He continued the path of joining the Nomad Chapter of the Satan’s Beasts MC, and lived his life on the road. Seeing Charity once a year.
Wanderlust. She was born with it. For ten years, she lived the dream her brother had for her, but now it’s over. She doesn’t want to be trapped in a dream that was never her own. Selling all her furniture, and finishing up the lease on her apartment, she hits the open road. Her dream was finally going to come alive.
Ten years of keeping his needs under wraps comes to a head as he takes that first kiss. They have one night. One night to get their fill of each other, and then, they’ll part ways. Only, one night isn’t enough.
It will never be enough.

Will Bad allow Charity to live her life without him? Or will they finally give each other a chance and realize they were destined to be together?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

“Where’s Bad off to?” Charlotte asked.

Colonel glanced over at Ape’s old lady, and then toward the sound of the roaring bike.

“No one knows,” Skull said.

Piper snuggled up close to Colonel, and he kissed the top of her head, loving it when she got close to him.

Meeting this woman was the best thing that had ever happened to him. She loved being on the road just as much as he did.

“He goes every year,” Colonel said. “He has … commitments.”

“Yeah, he goes and gets his head screwed on, and then he seems to be sane for a few months before shit hits the fan again,” Priest said.

Not many of the guys were hanging out tonight. Some had already found a woman and were using them for the night.

As for Colonel, he was content to have his old lady with him, constantly. She was the love of his life.

He glanced at the retreating red lights of Bad’s car.

Colonel hoped this year, Bad would find what he’d been searching for or at least bring along whatever gave him peace.

Chapter One

Charity Green tried not to keep looking toward the main gate of the graveyard. This was crazy. Every single year, she came here to see her brother and also to connect with a guy she only got to see once a year. She didn’t see her brother just once. No, she came every single week to stare at his gravestone.

Stevie, or Stew, as he’d liked to be called. She never understood why, but that was his name. She couldn’t believe it had already been ten years since he passed. She was twenty when it happened, and he’d been thirty years old. Her stupid, adorable, hard-ass big brother. He’d always said he was going to protect her, and she loved him so much. When their parents passed away, he’d been eighteen. He could have let her get taken into foster care, but instead, he’d stuck by her. Even though she knew he didn’t want to.

Her brother had been an adventurer and hated being stuck in one place, but for her, he’d done exactly that, and she’d never forgotten it. He’d taken care of her long after she turned eighteen.

Stevie had been there for her … always.

So had … Bad.

Her big brother’s best friend. For a short time, they had all lived together. She’d known Stevie had wanted to go, spread his wings, ride his bike, and do anything that wasn’t working a nine-to-five job. Not that he didn’t want to do anything, just his own thing.

He’d never gotten the chance.

A drive-by shooting had ended his chances. He’d been killed and now, for the last ten years, the only time she ever got to see Bad was when he came to visit his best friend.

They rarely spoke during those visits.

Bad had gone and done what Stevie had always wanted. He was part of the Satan’s Beasts MC: Nomad Chapter. His life was committed to his club and the road.

To Charity, it sounded like an utter dream. Living life on the road, a different place to sleep every single night.

She loved her brother for sticking around and not allowing her to go into care, but she hated this life she still lived. One where she got up hating her life.

Tears filled her eyes as she looked at Stevie’s headstone. She loved her big brother so much, and she wished she had someone to talk to. There was no one. The few relationships she’d been in had failed. The men wanted her to settle down, have kids, and get married. The moment they talked about the M-word, she panicked. Ended the relationship on the spot. As for kids, she wasn’t ready for them. Not even at thirty years old.
Women aren’t supposed to be on the road. Ape is sick and tired of watching his Prez and woman break the rules.
When they stop in a small town, Ape is determined to work out his envy. What he didn’t expect was to bump into an inked redhead with a sassy mouth. Offering her a drink was all it took for him to know he wanted her in his bed.

Charlotte has her own problems. People want her out of town, and Ape is a welcome distraction from her troubled thoughts. For now, she’s going to have fun with this sexy biker.

He’s not staying in town and he certainly doesn’t believe in love, but he can’t get Charlotte out of his mind. He has no choice but to walk away because the club is moving on. Will Ape take a chance and offer her a chance to ride at his back, to be his old lady? Or will he ride away without a care in the world?

Tipping his beer back, Ape averted his gaze, not interested in having to deal with any of his club brothers right now. They’d been traveling for four days straight and this was their first real break. Hanging out around a beat-up motel that had seen way better days, with free pussy and lots of drink, he wasn’t feeling it. Sure, his dick ached to be inside a woman, but he couldn’t do it.

His prez, Colonel, had carried his old lady into one of the rooms where they would no doubt stay for a couple of days. Whenever there was a long time spent between rests, Colonel and his woman always needed a few days catching up and fucking each other. Running a hand down his face, he slammed his fist against Skull’s arm. “Fuck off. I don’t want the company.”

“Either you’re jealous of the prez, or you’ve got a thing for his ass, or maybe you’ve got a thing for Piper.”

Ape stood and walked away, Skull laughing as he went. It wasn’t like they weren’t used to having a woman on the road with them. He was. After throwing his bottle into the trash, he headed away from the motel. There was no way he was going to enjoy a night’s sleep. The place looked like it had roaches.

As he walked down the street, the quiet of the night washed over him. The town itself looked all right. He’d clocked the big houses on arriving and there was also a small town center.

He loved small towns. People were constantly entertaining, especially some of the “posh” people. They often behaved like they wanted to be rid of them as if they carried some disease. Then there were always a few of the groupies who believed riding with the club was the key to a good life. Most of the time, the women got bored of being on the back of a bike. Sure, they liked having the men’s undivided attention at night, but it was getting to that point when the pull of the road and freedom of riding won against pussy. For him, his bike would always win against a woman.

Women were good for sucking and fucking, but nothing permanent. He wasn’t jealous of Colonel and Piper, more curious.

They’d been together for a couple of years, married, and they were still going strong. When Piper first came with them, he thought she’d last a couple of weeks tops. Instead, she took the road and the nomadic way of life easier than he expected. She didn’t seem to mind if she didn’t have a bathroom for a couple of days. Whenever they stopped, she always took time to refresh in a bathroom.

He shook his head. The road wasn’t a place for a woman.

Ever since Piper had entered the scene, Colonel hadn’t strayed. What was it about the one woman? He didn’t get it.

Sure, Colonel had been instantly attracted to her, but that shit would fade.

He kicked a stone as he passed a large school that looked more like a prison. Ape had dropped out of school many years ago, never finished. Never needed it in his line of work.

Coming to a stop at the edge of the long strip of town, he shook his head again. In all of his years of traveling, he’d come to the conclusions that many places were alike in so many ways. Always the divide between rich and poor. Long town streets. People’s views of them.

The only differences were usually the wealth that held them.

It wasn’t too late, and he saw a diner open and a couple of other nearby restaurants still aglow. Walking down the main street, he came to a stop as a woman and man exited a building.

“You’ve got no cause to shut this place down, so don’t even think about it, Calum.”

“Your place is an eyesore. People don’t like what you do, Charlotte.”

“What I do? I’m not a damn brothel. I bet if I was, there would be a hell of a lot more of a battle to keep me open. People can’t stand to have art on their flesh but swinging tits would win out.”

“You’re being crude.”

“Don’t even try me. You think I don’t know what you get up to in your free time? Spare me the condescending bullshit where you pretend to be on some kind of pedestal that you don’t deserve. That ship sailed a long time ago.” Charlotte stepped up into Calum’s face.

Ape, with her back to him, was turned on by her stiff spine, curvy ass, and that mouth on her.

“Let’s face it, you’d be happy to fight for my place if I’m willing to give a little back. Isn’t that right?” She ran her hand down Calum’s body.
Piper Dawes is used to men thinking she’s easy prey and she doesn’t expect the angry-looking biker to make her feel safe. He’s not staying for long, and she has no intention of falling for him.
However, he’s not leaving until he’s had her, this untouched virgin. Only, one taste is never enough.
Colonel is a nomad, and his club has no home—just the open road. He’s found the woman for him, but can Piper leave her family and predictable life behind? Will she follow him? Or is this a fling that will leave them both burned?
He was too strong; even though he was inebriated, she couldn’t fend him off.

Dave had never been a nice man sober, but drunk, he was even worse. All she’d been doing was taking out the trash and he’d cornered her. Everyone in this small town judged her exactly the same as they had her mother and sister. Both of them were known as whores of the town. They spread their legs faster than … anything that could spread their legs. She was expected to do the same, even though she was still a freaking virgin and didn’t look at men like they were anything. They were all pigs and she should know. There had been countless times where she woke up in the trailer she shared with her family to find strange men. Some of them even married and supposedly church-loving men.

Most of them were hypocrites. Where her mother and sister thought it was funny to be the gossip of the town and to know so many dirty secrets, she detested it. Splitting her time between the bar and the diner, she got her fair share of nastiness thrown her way. She hated her life here, but so far, she hadn’t saved up enough to leave.

The trailer, the rumors, the gossip, she loathed it and wished with all of her heart she wasn’t part of it. For once, she wanted to be her own person, without the stench of her family tainting her life.

Moments like this made her want to take the plunge and leave all of this bullshit behind. Something needed to happen. She couldn’t stand for any more of this, men cornering her as if they had a right to her.

“You really think you’re better than us?”

She wanted to scream she was better than all of them, seeing as she hadn’t tried to attack him, but she had a feeling that would have fallen on deaf ears. He was too drunk.

His hand touched her breast as his other hand went around her neck. He shocked her still as he started to squeeze, cutting off her air supply, making her panic.

This couldn’t be happening. Fear ran down her spine as Dave seemed more interested in what he was doing to her body.

I’m going to die. She clawed at his wrist.

He winced, letting her go. She touched her neck, feeling the panic grasp her tightly. She had to get away from him.

Too late.

She’d spent way too much time in her fear.

“You fucking bitch.” He backhanded her.

She dropped to the ground with a scream.

“I’m going to make you wish you’d just stayed still and took my dick. I know what you whores want. What you crave.”

“Yeah, and what I see is a woman who doesn’t want your touch.”

Piper frowned. It wasn’t a voice she recognized, but it was dark, rough, almost as if he’d smoked too many cigarettes. Her head throbbed. Dave had hit her good. She groaned.

“Look, asshole, this is none of your business. She’s the town slut. All of her family spread their legs for the locals.”

She gritted her teeth, sitting up.

“Doesn’t look that way to me. Last time I checked, you didn’t need to hit a willing female. Believe me, I’ve had plenty of those dancing on my dick during my time.”

She looked past Dave and saw one of the tallest men she’d ever laid eyes on. He was huge, must have been close to six-foot-two, maybe even taller. He wore a black leather jacket and his face had several days’ worth of stubble, but he didn’t appear unkempt or dirty. What also surprised her were the men behind him. All menacing, each wearing a leather cut. Just past them, she saw the bikes. All big, powerful-looking machines.

Who were they?

“Look, clearly, you’re passing through. Why don’t you leave, and I won’t kick your ass?”

The man, whoever he was, spat on the ground and smiled. His teeth were white and even. Why did his smile look scary and sexy at the same time? That didn’t make any sense. She shouldn’t notice these things about anyone.

“Why don’t you throw your best punch and I won’t kill you? How about that?” he asked.

“Fine. You need to be taught a lesson.”

Dave was an idiot. He ran toward the man and he didn’t even get one punch in before he was on the ground moaning.

“I don’t hit fallen men. It’s tacky. Get up. I want to hit you again.”

“Fuck you.” Dave got up. He was back on the ground seconds later, moaning again. This time, Dave didn’t get back up.

“Holy shit, Colonel, look how fast he went down.”

The man she guessed was called the Colonel stepped over Dave and approached her.

Would this be bad for her? Had this mystery man saved her to finish what Dave started? Her heart raced and she watched him, quickly moving to a stand to keep a close eye on him.
