I’m a man littered with scars–both literally and figuratively. The ones that hurt the most are invisible to the human eye. Spending the first fifteen years of my life as a trafficking victim destroyed me in ways I’m not sure can be fixed.
When I find out the same family that broke me is out doing the same thing all over again, I’m determined to put an end to it. To fix what law enforcement failed at.
I’ll tear their organization down brick by brick.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

Tank

Drake arched a brow at me when I finally emerged from my room down the hall. I was exhausted as fuck. I’d spent the past three days on my bike, only stopping long enough to crash in a motel room for a couple of hours each night before hitting the road again. I wanted to be in bed, getting a few more hours of sleep. Uninterrupted, at that.

But River had rung, and I was expected at the table. If he called, I went. It was the way the club worked and the least I owed him after everything he’d done for me. The Sons of Death had been falling apart at the seams not long after River was kicked out of the club for sleeping with Adelaide, who had then been Tristan’s woman at the time but was now River’s wife. And when his club had gotten attacked while he was away from home and he’d found the Sons of Death partially at fault, he thankfully hadn’t turned that hatred on me.

Instead, he’d offered me a patch within his own club, which I took with both hands. I needed to belong somewhere, which was the only reason I hadn’t left the Sons of Death on my own. Belonging somewhere gave me stability. Purpose. Kept me from spiraling. But I knew if I’d remained with the Sons, it would’ve only been a matter of time before my life ended. I was the kind of man who had to have a purpose.

And after Tristan lost his battle to cancer and Jesup took over the Sons of Death… well, the club hadn’t lasted long. They got caught up with the Russians, went to war with us, and their club fell.

The Russians were still at large, but they seemed to be keeping to themselves. I was sure we owed that to Alejandro Garcia, the leader of the Mexican Cartel, who we’d gotten tied up with because of Joey, the President of the Sons of Hell. Joey’s love for Adelaide put us under his protection, which was nice in the grand scheme of things. Gave us an added layer of protection.

“You look like shit,” Drake dryly commented before he took a bite out of the apple in his hand.

“Tired,” I supplied as an answer. “Coffee?”

He grabbed a mug and poured some of the black liquid into the ceramic cup before passing it over to me. I sipped at it, closing my eyes to relish the caffeine hitting my system. This cup would get me through this meeting, at the very least. Hopefully, whatever River was bringing to the table wouldn’t require my immediate attention, and I could go back to sleep after church was over.

Bikes riding onto the lot caught my attention. Drake and I looked at each other, sharing a look of confusion. River emerged from the chapel with Adelaide at his side. Their recently hired nanny, Angel—a forty-year-old woman—ushered their three kids out of the chapel and to the playroom down the hall. Axel, the oldest and their adopted son, glanced my way before looking back where he was being led without a word.

Kid never said much. The older I got, the more I saw psychopathic tendencies in him. And I knew River and Adelaide were picking up on it as well. But they were raising him as normally as they could, teaching him right from wrong, and when he had moments where he wanted to hurt himself—the kid craved pain in a very weird way—they found him outlets so he wouldn’t harm himself.

Jaxon, their middle child, waved at me. “Hey!” he happily called before he disappeared down the hall. I chuckled. Jaxon was a handful—rowdy, wild, and he didn’t have a single fucking fear. He was the polar opposite of his older brother.

The youngest—Treina—was the spitting image of Adelaide with dark hair, her father’s blue eyes, and Adelaide’s fiery temper. For the most part, she was sweet and quiet, preferring to stick with her books, unless someone pissed her off… which was usually Jaxon.

That kid loved pushing her buttons.

The clubhouse doors opened, and Joey strode in, followed by his Vice President, Ink, who was followed by Whiler. And then Alejandro Garcia followed in behind him with his second in command, Miguel.

Fuck.

“Well, there goes any hope of sleep,” I muttered as I grabbed the coffee pot and topped off my mug. Drake snorted.

If River had called them in, then whatever he knew was fucking bad.

“Glad to have you back home,” Adelaide softly told me as she settled on River’s lap. I gave her a small smile before focusing back on River. The door shut, Alejandro finally entering the chapel, and then River cleared his throat, bringing the room to attention.

“One of the girls that works the streets called Adelaide early this morning.” Adelaide had taken to doing her best to help the women in the surrounding cities find safer work. Some refused to leave due to circumstances we weren’t allowed to know, so Adelaide made sure they had a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs, as well as healthcare and birth control to protect them. All one of them had to do was call Adelaide, and she would come to their aid without question or judgment.
That night, he lost everything. And now, she wants to show him how to breathe again.

There’s not much I won’t do for this club. They gave me a purpose. Joey, the prez, stopped me from destroying my life.
Everything was pieced back together. I had my family again. My parents even let me know my little sister and form a bond with her.
But then, that phone call changed everything.
Now, I’m suffocating. I can’t breathe under the mountain of everything I lost. I can’t stand to be in this town anymore. So, when Joey accepts my request to go nomad, I snatch it with both hands and ride away as far and as fast as I can.
Five years later, I’m back. It’s time for me to stop running. It’s time to come home.
But I sure as hell was not expecting her when I walked through those doors.
She’s fire and ice, an entire contradiction I don’t know what to do with, and she doesn’t know when to just quit.
Yet when I’m around her, my lungs fill with air again. I can breathe past all the smoke. I can taste something other than soot.
I’ll do anything to keep that fresh air. I’ll do anything to keep her.
Her husband will try to stop me, and when he does, he better hope he’s got some kind of deity on his side.
Because for her… I’ll rip him to shreds.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

Whiler

“Fuck yes,” I groaned, my head falling back on my shoulders as the woman on her knees between my thighs wrapped her lips around my shaft again. “Just like that,” I urged, my hand gripping the blonde’s strands of hair, forcing my cock deeper down her throat. She gagged, her throat muscles spasming around me, and I moaned low in my throat, forcing my dick deeper until my cum spurted from my shaft. She choked, her nails digging into my thighs, but I didn’t let her up for air until I was spent.

“What the fuck, Whiler?!” she yelled at me, her dark eyes blazing with rage. She was a newer club whore, but apparently, she hadn’t learned her place yet.

I stood to my full height and fixed my clothes, glaring down at her as she shakily rose to her feet. She swallowed thickly, fear flickering in her eyes. “Watch your fucking tone with me,” I growled. I was one of the nicest guys in this club, but I drew the line at disrespect. She was hired here as a club girl—nothing more. And if that was a problem for her, she knew where the fuck the door was. “Get the fuck out of my room, Chastity.”

She quickly scampered out of my room just as my phone blared on the desk. I snatched it up, my eyes widening in surprise at my little sister’s name. She was only seven, and with it being well past midnight, she should have been in bed asleep hours ago. Mom would cut off our communication in a heartbeat if she thought I was being a bad influence on her.

And fuck, the mere thought of losing contact with my little sister had pain slicing through my chest. She was my reason now. The reason I stayed sober. The reason I was extra careful on runs. My little sister was everything to me. The light of my life.

Mom and Dad had sheltered her from me for the first six years of her life. They didn’t trust me, given my past—first drugs, and then getting patched into the Sons of Hell MC after Joey got me clean. To them, I was nothing but trouble. And in a way, I was.

But I would never let a goddamn thing in my life touch the little angel that was my sister. She was a surprise to everyone, most of all my parents, who were both in their fifties, almost nearing sixty. Helena was the most precious person in this world, and I treated her as such.

“Helena?” I asked, my frown deepening at her sobs that echoed through the line. That was alarming. Helena hardly ever cried. “Helena, sweetheart, what’s going on?” I demanded.

“It’s so hot, Whiler,” she sobbed. “There’s fire and smoke.” Fear trickled down my spine. “Momma and Daddy won’t get me out!” she screeched. She was panicking, and fuck, she was trapped. Trapped in a burning house with no goddamn way out. No one there to help her.

My heart stopped in my chest. Fire. Smoke. Won’t get me out. Those words were on repeat in my head. Fuck!

“Hold on, Helena. I’m coming, you hear me? I’m fucking coming.” I rushed out of my room, my boots stomping down the stairs. “Joey!” I roared. “Vern! Ink!” Helena was screaming in my ear. My heart was racing in my chest as I rushed for the clubhouse doors. “Helena, sweetheart, it’s going to be okay.” God, I hoped it was. I prayed I wasn’t fucking lying to her.

“It burns!” she screamed. Tears slid down my cheeks, but I didn’t slow down. She could not die. Not like this. Never like this—so slow and painful. It wasn’t goddamn fair.

Joey rushed out of the back hallway, his boots on his feet, his jeans unbuttoned. “Call 911!” I shouted at Joey as I rushed out of the clubhouse.

Helena’s screams were growing louder. Ink and Vern jumped on their bikes, tailing me out of the clubhouse parking lot. Helena was just screaming. She wasn’t even hearing me anymore as I pleaded with her to just hang on. To keep trying to find a way out. To cover her mouth and try not to breathe so much smoke in.

Suddenly, she wasn’t making a single sound. All I could hear through the phone line was the crackling of flames.

“No!” I roared, pushing my bike faster than I ever had before. Tears were burning in my eyes and making hot trails down my cheeks. “Helena!” I shouted. “Fucking answer me, Helena!”

Nothing. The call dropped before I could shout for her again. I weaved in and out of traffic, breaking almost every road law there was, and by the time I got to my parents’ house, the fire department was working on putting out the flames, but there wasn’t much left of the house. The fire chief rushed over to me, instantly recognizing me. I took one look at his face, and I fucking knew.
An MC Why Choose Romance

I’m a cold-blooded monster. I thrive on the chaos I bring into people’s lives.

She’s the only peace I know.

I’ve got danger lurking just over my shoulder, and it’s threatening to rip me from her.

This person who calls himself The Wolf has no idea he’s just a mere rabbit.

Because I’m the real predator.

And I’ll rip his throat out before he even makes it over the border.

**It is highly recommended that you read Saved before reading this book, as this is a sort of continuation of that book.

**This book is for those of you who wanted to see Alejandro, Elaina, and Joey together.

*Two men share one woman in this book. If you find that triggering, I advise against reading.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER ONE

Joey

Alejandro eased open the door before silently stepping in and shutting it behind him with a barely audible click. He’d been gone for a couple of weeks now to deal with some shit in Mexico, which he was being a bit close-lipped about, and he’d called me a few hours ago to let me know he was coming back home.

Still felt a little weird that this was home for him now. He still ran the cartel down in Mexico, but for him, home was now wherever Elaina and Antonio were. And usually, that was here in my clubhouse. Elaina liked being surrounded by this big family we had. We weren’t connected by blood, but we were family regardless.

Things weren’t always like this between us. In fact, at one point in time, I did everything I could to avoid Alejandro Garcia. He was too powerful and had his fingers dug into too many pies. He wasn’t someone you wanted to cross.

But then Elaina showed up at my clubhouse, needing help and safety, covered in bruises.

And she was pregnant with Alejandro’s baby. I knew if I wanted any chance of keeping her, I had to break my rules and reach out to him. And honestly…it had gone a lot smoother than I’d thought it would.

He was willing to just about give me everything, including Elaina, as long as he got to be part of their son, Antonio’s, life. And while that had been a tough pill for Elaina to swallow at first, now I knew it was one of the best decisions she’d ever made.

She and Antonio had around-the-clock protection. And Alejandro’s drastic ass had even put tracking devices in both of them, which he replaced every few weeks to make sure they stayed live on his feed. The process to remove the old one and replace it with a new one was quick and painless, and neither of them could feel it was there.

Elaina and Alejandro at first coexisted as friends, and Alejandro and I put up with each other for her sake. But then, a few years ago, I noticed Elaina had grown feelings for Alejandro. It wasn’t hard to tell—not to me, anyway. I didn’t think the rest of the club really picked up on it. But every time Alejandro left for a little while, she would withdraw from everyone, even me, like she wasn’t sure if she was even supposed to be feeling the way she was. And finally, I confronted her about it.

It took a bit of coaxing, but she finally opened up, spilling everything she felt for Alejandro, even though she thought it was wrong. She cried, breaking my fucking heart because I hated to see her be anything but happy. And that was when I made the decision to allow her to be with him, too.

Sure, their past was fucked up. He bought her for three million dollars from her father and knocked her up, but I understood trauma bonds. I mean, fuck, me and Adelaide—the first woman I ever loved—had a fuck ton of trauma between us, and yet we still loved each other. Granted, our loved paled in comparison to the love we felt for our significant others, but we did love each other.

And if there was one thing I’d learned about myself over the years, it was that I was not a selfish lover. I wanted my woman to have everything she needed, and I was okay knowing I wasn’t enough. I gave Elaina everything, just as I knew she gave me everything in return. But that didn’t mean she still didn’t hold love for Alejandro.

Besides, seeing the way she glowed when both of us were with her? Fuck—it was worth every bit of any second-guessing I might have had once upon a time. And the club never blinked an eye when they figured out she was with Alejandro, too. I was pretty sure that when they sat down to really think about it, them being together was inevitable.

That was how it felt to me, anyway.

“How is she?” Alejandro whispered as he toed out of his boots, bracing his hand on the wall so he wouldn’t accidentally fall over or trip.

I ran my fingers through her blonde hair, looking down at her peaceful, sleeping face. Fuck, this woman of ours was beautiful as hell. “You know how it is when you’re not here with her, too,” I quietly reminded him. It had been hard. She did her best though. Besides, she turned stage five clingy when he wasn’t around, but I didn’t mind. I loved it when Elaina constantly sought me out.

He grunted and finished unbuttoning his shirt, dropping it to the floor before he undid his slacks, dropping those too. A moment later, he slid into bed behind her, sandwiching her between us. Her eyelids slowly fluttered open, looking up at me with a deep frown. “Joey?” she whispered, her voice scratchy and husky with sleep.
Touch her, and you answer to me.
I wasn’t ready to be tied down to her, but like hell was I letting anyone else touch her.
But when I almost lose her to a rival club, my mind changes instantly.
I’m letting her lay claim to me. I’m tattooing her name on my neck.
And I’m going to burn this entire world to the ground to get vengeance for what happened to her.

**Trigger warnings: minor pain kink, blood spill, graphic violence

FULL BOOK START HERE:

1

Reina

Some men knew what they wanted and took it. Others . . . well, not so much.

When you first looked at Samuel Drew, you thought he was one of those men that knew what he wanted, took it, and claimed it all in one go.

I thought he would have done that with me, but I was sorely mistaken.

Ever since the night the clubhouse had gotten ambushed a few years ago and I’d gotten shot in my shoulder and again in my thigh, Sam had staked a half-assed claim on me. He’d led me to believe that we were going to stop running circles around each other and actually be together. God knew I’d longed for him long enough.

But nope.

That wasn’t what Samuel had meant when he said he was done playing games, that he wanted me. He didn’t want exclusivity on his side, but he expected it from mine.

And any time I tried to fuck around with some other club guy, Sam fucked me to remind me who I belonged to. We played a twisted, fucked-up game every single day, and the game was beginning to wear me the fuck out.

Because Sam didn’t have the right to dictate who I fucked and flirted with if I couldn’t have the same in return. It wasn’t fucking fair. But that wasn’t stopping him. He made it clear that I belonged to him. And in turn, I just looked like a fucking fool when he slept with the club bunnies.

But I was weak to him. I couldn’t ever turn him away. There was something about Samuel that called to the darker side of me—the side of me that had been tainted, had been ruined.

I’d come to the Fathers of Mayhem a few years ago, seeking an escape from my mom and stepdad and the shit they put me through. River offered me protection without asking me a single question about what I was running from. And to this day, he still hadn’t asked.

The only time River had asked anything about what happened to me was when I’d been raped by one of his own men, whom he and Samuel had then taken out back, castrated, and murdered.

I looked up at Adelaide as she stepped into the kitchen where I was putting together a roast in the massive crockpot we had. She yawned, her hair still a mess on the top of her head. “Do you ever sleep in?” she asked me.

I snorted in response. I hadn’t slept during the night in a long time. Hell, I couldn’t remember the last time I had, to be honest. Normally, I snuck in a couple-hour nap during the day, and I functioned on that.

And that was something else Sam didn’t know about me because as soon as he nutted inside of me, he was yanking up his jeans and storming out of the room, like he was pissed off that he wanted me so badly.

I was always on my own at nighttime, so I normally read a book to pass the time. The dark held too many threats, too much danger, too many demons. I didn’t feel safe.

“Eh, sleeping in is for pussies,” I teased her. She rolled her eyes but grinned at me. “Coffee is already made,” I told her, waving the knife in my hand towards the coffee pot that contained freshly-brewed coffee.

“Fucking heaven in a cup,” she muttered as she began making her some. “The men are riding back in tonight,” she told me. “Pretty sure the Sons of Hell are riding in as well for some rest before they head back down south. You got enough food there for everyone?”

I nodded. “Should be more than enough so long as everyone only grabs one helping.”

She shrugged. “If they’re still hungry after one serving, they can grab a bag of chips or some shit.”

She strode out of the kitchen, leaving me to my thoughts again. I sighed as I resumed chopping the onion on the cutting board. The men riding back in tonight would mean Sam was with them. I’d honestly been enjoying the break from him. He always made me feel like I was on edge, treading on eggshells, waiting for something to smash.

He was so dark and broody. And I knew he could be gentle. He had been when I’d been lying on that hospital bed after surgery, after almost dying.
I’ve been in love with my president’s little sister for years.
She’s broken – destroyed.
But I’m determined to save her.
I’ll give her a purpose. I’ll make every demon that makes her suffer my demons as well.
I’m going to save this woman…
Or I’m going to die trying.

FULL BOOK START HERE:

1

I clenched my jaw as I glared at Ink from across the room. We were on the outs – again. It was a common occurrence. I got lost in my head, got too buried in the depths of my darkness, and I pushed him too hard—too far—and made him walk away.

We were hot and cold—didn’t fucking mix well. But for some reason, the man never fucking gave up on me.

I didn’t even pretend to try to understand it. Fuck, I hadn’t even let him have a fucking taste of anything except my lips since we started this shit years ago.

I couldn’t let him see my body.

So, for him to always be like this, always eventually coming back to me, I didn’t fucking get it.

Men like him didn’t work with women like me. We just weren’t fucking compatible.

Gloria moved up beside me as she began mixing a drink for one of the guys. “I don’t know why you keep getting all twisted up inside about him when you keep sending that poor man through the wringer.”

I narrowed my eyes at Gloria. “Watch yourself,” I warned her.

She sighed as she slid the drink across the bar to Whiler with a smile before she turned her body to face me. “Jessie, all I’m saying is that you need to get your head together,” Gloria told me, looking at me with no judgment in her kind eyes. She understood. But she was also the kind of person to tell me when I was being a bitch, which I knew I was, but goddammit, that man pushed all my fucking buttons.

“Ink loves you with every fiber of his being, but a man can only take so much, and it’s going to kill you inside when he finally admits defeat and walks away from you.”

I didn’t even bother to respond, and I knew she didn’t expect me to. I just tossed my bar towel onto the counter and strode out from behind the bar, moving down the hall towards my room at the back of the clubhouse. I wasn’t listening to any more of what she had to say. I wasn’t interested in fucking hearing it.

The Sons of Hell—my brother’s club—was all I had known for years. And Ink, who was my brother’s VP as well as his best friend, had fought hell and high water to stay by my side despite my brother’s warnings.

Me? I was so fucked up that I just went through continuous motions of letting him in and then pushing him away.

After all of this time, I still struggled to cope with what had happened to me.

It had been so dark—so fucking dark.

I shook my head, shaking the memory away as I pushed open the door to my room, shutting it back behind me once I was safely inside of my sanctuary.

I kicked my boots off and shoved them to the side, moving towards my bathroom. I stared at my face in the mirror, staring at the scar that ran through my eyebrow and down my cheek. I hated that scar—hated it with every fiber of my being—because it was just a sore fucking reminder of the shit I had gone through.

The shit I had barely survived.

I’d been rescued from Charles, and sure I was physically alive. But inside? I was dead. Just like now. There wasn’t any saving me. I lost myself during that torturous time, and Charles took my soul with him to Hell when Tristan—the old Sons of Death’s president—put the bullet between his eyes.

Now, I was just a shell of the woman I used to be.

I used to be so full of life—always partying, dancing, having sex, just being a fun club girl. There was so much life inside of me. I gave my brother absolute hell. Adelaide, Joey’s old girlfriend, was my damn best friend during that time. We got caught in all kinds of bad shit together—shit Joey always had to save us from.

Sometimes, I felt like my brother would prefer to continue saving me from all of those bad situations than to see me like this.

But what else was I supposed to do? I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know how to deal with the shit that was running through my fucking head, twisting me all around every second of the day.

Some women, like Adelaide and Elaina—my brother’s woman—came out on top like true fucking queens.

Some of us—like me—never escape out of that fucking dark hole.

A tear slid down my cheek.

Shaking my head, I pulled my shirt over my head. I wouldn’t cry—fucking couldn’t. I was so tired of crying all of the time. I just wanted to feel numb. Was that too much to ask?
