From bestselling author Natasha Madison comes a brand new stand-alone enemies to lovers, second chance sports romance. A spin-off from the Hollywood Royalty Series & The Only One Series

Gabriella Stone
Moving to LA was my dream since I was thirteen.
By the time I was twenty, I was sought out by some of the most beautiful people in the world to take their pictures.
No one cared that I came from a hockey dynasty.
Everything was perfect.
Then I met him.
It was supposed to be a one-time thing.
But it ended up being more. So much more.
Until he betrayed me.

Romeo Beckett
Growing up in LA, everyone knew I came from Hollywood royalty.
Following in my father’s legendary footsteps, I learned early on not to fall for the shallow shine of this city.
When I met her, I didn’t know she was what I’d been looking for.
In one night, I ruined everything.
She left without a second thought.
I’ve spent every day since becoming the man she deserves.
She thinks it’s over.
She’s wrong.
It’s time to win her back.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

ONE

GABRIELLA

The soft sound of bells wakes me up from my sleep, my eyes blinking open slowly. My hand creeps out of the big white duvet, grabbing my phone and pressing the snooze button before turning over to lie on my other side. Closing my eyes again, I slip back into a light sleep before the bells ring again. “Ugh,” I mumble, turning off the alarm before throwing the covers off myself. If I don’t get up now, I’ll be snoozing for the next hour, and it’s admin day. I rub my eyes while I shuffle to the bathroom to pee, then walk over and start the shower. I never used to shower in the morning, but I feel like it just starts the day off right. I wrap the white towel around myself before going into my walk-in closet. I slip on a pair of soft pink yoga pants after I put on the white lace thong. Walking over, I pair my outfit with a white crop tank top. I pin my auburn hair on top of my head before walking down the steps toward the kitchen. Instead of turning on the television like everyone in my family, I turn on the music. “Alexa, play ‘These Days,’” I order before she repeats it back to me, and the music starts playing.

I move around the kitchen, grabbing a mug and walking over to the coffee machine. I take a pod and put it in before I press the button on the coffee maker as I walk over to the fridge to grab the milk. Singing the words to the song blasting in the house, I dance back over to the machine as the smell of coffee fills the room. “These days, these days,” I continue singing as I wait for the last drop of coffee to be finished before adding my splash of milk. Scooting over to the drawer to grab a spoon, I place the milk back in the fridge. “Laugh at each other.” I sing the song as I stir my coffee, picking up the mug and taking a sip. “Wonderful.” I smile as I take another sip. There is nothing quite like that first sip of coffee to start your day.

I walk around the island to the stool and sit down, placing the coffee cup right next to my agenda. “Alexa, stop music,” I say out loud, and the music stops right away. I open the laptop next to my phone, making the island my makeshift desk. Even though I have an office right upstairs, I like working downstairs.

I press the little black button on the laptop to power it on while I grab my agenda and flip open to this month’s calendar. One side of the calendar has lines with names written all down the side. I look over the names and the little note I made beside them.

Turning, I move my hand over the little mouse pad in the middle of my computer and click on the mail icon. Grabbing my cup of coffee, I watch the little circle going around as the emails pour in. I wait for the ping to let me know it’s done before scanning down the list. I delete the ones I don’t need and then start reading the ones I kept. I grab my agenda, writing notes in there before replying to the emails. I thought for sure when I left LA, my career would take a hit, but that hasn’t been the case. People don’t care where I’m located as long as I’ll travel to them. So that is what I am doing, and my home base is in Dallas for now.

Once I’ve caught up on all my emails, I grab my phone and start making my calls for this month. The first five calls are standard and basic fashion shoots that will take place at the end of the month. The location is to be determined after they ask me to email them options on where the best place is to do the shoot. I make little notes on the side of the places that come to me.

The next person on the list is someone my aunt begged me to do. I press the number, and the woman answers, “Hello.”

“Hi, Geraldine.” I tap my pen on my agenda. “This is Gabriella.” I wait to see if the woman recognizes the name, but after a couple of seconds, I know she doesn’t. “I got your number from my aunt Allison. I think she knows your daughter.” I try to jog her memory.

“Oh, yes,” she says, her voice going high. “The photographer.”

“That would be me,” I confirm, dropping my pen and picking up my cup of coffee to take a sip. “Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.” I put the cup back. “I was traveling the last couple of weeks.”
Abigail
It was time to celebrate.
After all my hard work, I was graduating at the top of my class.
Our family vacation was the perfect chance to relax.
Until I saw him get on the plane and my plans went out the window.
Tristan's everything I've always wanted but can never have.
One night was all we had together.
Now, I’m staring at the two pink lines wondering if I should even tell him.

Tristan
Six years ago, I was living for myself until I found out I had a two-year-old daughter.
Now, I love my life exactly how it is: me, my daughter and hockey.
Except—I've been in love with Abigail from afar for years.
She was the only one I trusted my daughter with.
One night with her is more than I deserve.
Now that I've had her, I know she was made for us.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER ONE

ABIGAIL

I lean over the empty white desk, unpinning the thumbtack at the corner of the picture as the soft music playing from my phone fills the room. Unpinning the other corner, the picture comes undone in my hand. I stare down at the picture of Gabriella, my twin sister, and me at our high school graduation. The two of us are in our graduation gowns staring at each other, sticking our tongues out. I can still remember it like it was yesterday, feeling the pit in my stomach knowing our time was soon running out. It was going to be the first time we were leaving each other, ever. We were going off to our respective colleges, neither of us knowing how one would survive without the other. I was off to Dallas to study nursing, and she was off to the West Coast. She was in love with photography, and LA was the place to be. She even contemplated Paris. The only thing was she didn’t want to be anywhere close to the family.

I put the picture down on the empty desk before leaning over and unpinning another picture right next to the one I just took down, when my phone rings from the side of my bed. I make my way through the moving boxes to get to the cell. I look down, seeing a picture of my dad and me, “Hey, Daddy-o.” I smile. “What’s the dealio?”

He chuckles as I sit on the bed before leaning back on the pillows and putting up my legs on my unmade bed. “Hey, Abby,” he says softly. “Whatcha doing, Buttercup?”

It’s my turn to chuckle at him. Apparently, the story is he used to call us Buttercup because he couldn’t tell us apart from the back, so he just went with calling us that nickname. “I’m almost finished packing.” I look at the boxes all over my bedroom. It feels like I arrived at the empty room just yesterday. “I can’t believe this is it.” The wall that used to hold hooks to hang my jackets is down. The dresser that used to have little knickknacks on top is now bare.

“You busted your ass,” he says, and I can see him smirking, “taking after me.” I laugh right away. “Don’t tell your mother.” My parents met when my brother, Dylan, got an opportunity to attend my father’s hockey school. From the way they tell the story, it was love at first sight. At least for my father.

“Your secret is safe with me. When are you guys coming down?” I look over at the window and see the sun has already gone down.

“We leave bright and early in the morning,” he confirms. “Are you ready for tomorrow?” He’s flying down with my mom to attend my graduation ceremony. The butterflies now fill my stomach. I’ve worked my ass off for this. The past six years are a blur, and it feels like I just moved out to college yesterday. I graduated after four years with a bachelor’s of nursing and then did two years at John Hopkins.

It’s my turn to smirk, and my heart speeds up. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”

“My daughter, a pediatric nurse.” I blink away the tears. “So flipping proud of you.”

“Okay, I’m going to let you go before you make me start crying. I have to get my makeup done soon, and I don’t want to have swollen eyes.”

“Okay, okay, fine,” he says. “The moving truck is scheduled to be there on Saturday.” I nod. “Then we can fly to Dallas and start house hunting.”

“Dad,” I say softly, “I was going to rent an apartment.” I close my eyes, pinching the bridge of my nose.

“Negative. Can’t talk now, heading to a meeting.”

“We’ll discuss it at dinner tonight,” I tell him quickly before he hangs up.

I shake my head and look down, seeing he’s already disconnected the phone. I toss my phone on the bed beside me, then get up and walk back over to the family board I did as soon as I moved into this studio apartment in Maryland, which is five minutes from campus, two years ago. I put my favorite pictures right in front of my desk, so when I looked up, all I saw were my people. I grab a picture of the whole family that was taken last year at the annual family vacation. There were so many people that Uncle Matthew had to call someone with a ladder to take an aerial shot. I stare at it for a couple of minutes, my mouth going to a smile without even knowing it. There is so much love in my family it’s almost contagious. I put the picture down when my phone rings again.

Turning, I walk over to the phone I just threw down. “Hello.” I press the speaker button when I see it’s Gabriella.
From Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY bestselling author Natasha Madison comes

A brand new stand-alone enemies-to-lovers grumpy/sunshine sports romance.

A spin-off from the Only One series

Vivienne
I did the last thing I ever expected to do. I bought a boat. A beautiful boat that was all mine to spend the summer on.
Only thing I was looking forward to was the calm being on the water brought me.
A place where I wasn’t a hockey dynasty princess or the only single girl of the family.
What I wasn’t looking forward to was the broody man in the boat next to me.

Xavier
I was at the top of my game two years ago.
Then it all came crashing down.
I hung up my skates and vowed to never play again.
I was good at hockey, but hockey was bad for me.
I planned to spend my life on my boat with my dog.
Alone. Happily alone.
Until she came along.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

VIVIENNE

I hear the front door open and slam closed, I hear footsteps, and then I smile. “In five,” I say to myself, holding up five fingers. “Four.” I close down one finger. “Three, two, one.” I point at the bedroom door as it swings open.

“What is taking you so freaking long?” my sister, Franny, huffs, coming into the room. “We said five minutes.” She stands there in blue jeans, ripped at the knee, and a white cotton T-shirt tucked into the front. Her blond hair is braided at the side, and her blue eyes are staring at me. We are opposites in every single way. Where she has blond hair, I have auburn hair, just like our grandmother. Where she has blue eyes, I have green eyes, they change with how I feel, and our height is the only thing we have in common. She also has bigger boobs than I do, but that is what the miracle bra is made for.

“How was I supposed to know you really meant it this time?” I ask her as I zip closed my luggage. “How many times did you say five minutes, and then I’m sitting in the car waiting for you guys to be done?” I close my hand in a fist and smack it with my other hand to mimic sex. I walk over to the side table to grab my laptop, putting it in my Louis Vuitton big bag.

“Valid point”—she laughs—“but we are in the car, and Dad already called twice. We are officially late.”

I shake my head, walking around the guest room, making sure I didn’t forget anything. “Why is he like this?” I ask, grabbing my luggage and Louis. “It’s not like there aren’t people at the house already. It’s Sunday.” Sunday lunch is notorious in our family. It started once and just kept going. It’s a day when we all gather at someone’s house and eat ridiculous amounts of food. “I bet you, right now, at least forty people are in his house, and he’s still pacing around like no one is there.”

We walk down the stairs toward the front door. “You know, unless the four of us are there, he feels like he’s missing a piece of himself.” She mimics the words he says all the time. I can’t help but chuckle at the irony of it. He’s big bad Matthew Grant, but his life is all about his family.

The hatch of the Range Rover swings open, and Wilson, Franny’s husband, gets out of the SUV. He’s wearing shorts and a T-shirt with a baseball cap backward. “What took you so long?” he asks, reaching for the bag in my hand.

“I thought you guys were banging,” I answer him honestly, and he laughs. “You know, since you don’t have the baby, you got to get a couple of rounds in before she comes back and cockblocks you.”

“As if my daughter would cockblock me,” he jokes as he puts my luggage in the back and presses the button for the hatch to close.

“It’s all fun and games until you walk in on your parents grinding uglies.” I close my eyes when I think back to walking in on my parents not so long ago. “I swear I’m suffering from PTSD.” I walk over to the back door of the SUV and open it, getting in.

The drive takes us less than three minutes, and I see the street lined with cars. “Why was he calling when he has a household full of people?” Wilson mumbles as he gets out of the car.

I laugh, getting out and walking up the driveway to the front door. My parents split their time between New York, where my father was the GM for the New York Stingers but is now the team owner, and Dallas, where my brother, Cooper, plays on the team. My other brother, Chase, is their team doctor.

The minute I open the door, I can hear the chaos from the kitchen spreading out into the foyer. The number of baby bags at the door is on another level. “There is your mom,” I hear my mother say as she walks into the room holding Stella, Franny’s one-year-old daughter.

“Hi, baby girl,” Franny coos, holding out her hands for her daughter, who just stares at her like she did her wrong.

I roll my lips. “Someone is holding a grudge,” I state, walking over to my mother and kissing her cheek. “Did your mom desert you, Stella Bella?” I ask her, and she just looks at me. “Trust me, this is so much better than walking in on her trying to ride your father.”

“Would you stop that?” my mother shrieks. “We were dressed.”

“Not even close.” I shake my head. “Not one stitch of clothing was around either of you.”

“Look at my princess.” Wilson smiles at Stella, and she side-eyes him, too.
From Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY bestselling author Natasha Madison comes a brand new stand-alone friends-to-lovers sports romance. A spin-off from the Only One series

Chase
Everyone expected me to play hockey.
I was good at it, but I was better at being a doctor.
So I hung up the skates and joined Doctors without Borders
But there is no place like home, so now I’m back.
And instead of being on the ice, I’m behind the bench as the team physician.
After years of playing cat and mouse, it’s time to admit it.
She’s mine.

Julia
Working as a social worker was a dream come true.
It wasn’t easy, and it has made me shut off my heart to love.
No commitment. No strings. No promises.
Until one fateful night changed everything.
He was there for me like no other one.
The biggest thing is I let him.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

Julia

Twisting the water bottle cap off, I bring the plastic bottle to my lips. “I wish this was something stronger,” I mumble to myself before the cold water hits my dry mouth. My stomach lurches, and I lean back against the counter in the staff kitchen. After six years of doing this job, you would think I would be used to this, but nothing—and I mean nothing—can prepare you for it.

“Hey.” My boss, Rosalind, sticks her head into the kitchen, her black hair pushed back by a headband. “Monica is in your office.” The minute she says those five words, the water wants to come back up. “Let me know if you need me.”

I huff out a big deep breath. “Will do.” I nod at her, and when she leaves, I let my head hang forward. “Here we go.” I push my sandy-blond hair behind my ear, walking to my cubicle I call an office.

“Don’t touch that, Penelope.” I hear Monica as I make the dreaded walk toward the voice. Every step feels like my feet are getting heavier and heavier. “Why can’t you ever freaking listen?” I hear her hiss. “Come here.”

I stand at the cubicle entrance, watching her as she grabs Penelope by the wrist and pulls her toward her, picking her up and placing her on her lap. “Be good, and when we leave here, I’ll get you candy.”

“Candy?” Penelope looks up at her mom, and my heart breaks for what is to come. I swallow down the lump.

“Hey,” I say, walking into the cubicle and going to sit in my chair. The desk is against one wall of the cubicle with the chair Monica sits on right beside it. “Thank you for coming.” I turn my chair to look at her. My chair, not very far from hers, as I grab her thick manila folder. I try not to make eye contact with her and shut myself off.

“It’s not like I had a choice,” Monica huffs, and I look at her now. Her bleached-blond hair is down to her shoulders, but her black roots are half of her head. “You said it was mandatory.”

“All meetings are mandatory,” I inform her. “This isn’t new.” I look down at the notes even though I know this whole file by heart. “How are things going?”

“As they always are,” she huffs out. I look down at Penelope, who just looks at me, her brown hair tied in a lopsided ponytail. Her blue eyes are so crystal that you can see through them. She’s wearing little blue jeans and a pink top.

“How are you, Penelope?” I look down at the two-year-old little girl who says three words, mama, bobba for bottle, and candy.

She points behind her. “Mama,” she tells me proudly, and I smile at her.

“So what am I really doing here, Julia?” Monica asks as the diaper bag on her shoulder falls down to her elbow.

“Well.” I fold my hands together and place them on top of the folder. “As you know, the last couple of visits haven’t exactly been okay.” She rolls her eyes at me, and I want to think she is listening to me, but at this point, I have no idea if she’s even listening at all. But the rolling of the eyes pushes me over the edge. “And I gave you enough warning for you to shape up.”

“What are you saying?” She sits up when she hears my tone.

“I hate to say this,” I say, and the stinging comes to my eyes, “but we have decided to place Penelope.”

I can see her expression change the minute I say that. Her arm wraps around her daughter, and I know deep down she loves her daughter with everything she has. But she’s a child raising a child, and I am not one to judge anyone, but she didn’t exactly have the best parental role models. “You can’t do that,” she says, and her lower lip quivers.

“You left us no choice.” I look at her and see the tears roll over her lower lashes. “You failed the random drug test.”

“It was a mistake. I didn’t know.” I almost roll my eyes. “By accident, I put a molly in my Tylenol bottle. I swear I haven’t touched anything since then.” Her voice goes high and trembles. “Please, Julia, give me another chance.” Her hands even shake a bit with nerves.

“I’ve given you chance after chance after chance, Monica,” I remind her softly. “You think this is what I want?” I shake my head, trying to keep things as calm as I can. I’ve been doing this a long time, and there have been times that taking away a child has put me in the middle of danger. I had a father pull out a knife and threaten to slice me open and eat my insides. I mean, he was high on meth, but it will stay with me forever. “You’ve been in my case file since you were fifteen, and now you’re almost twenty-one.”
