BOOK 3 IN THE EPIC, KINGS OF SIN SERIES.

Choices are what make us human.

We all get to choose our path and shape our future. Right?

Bullshit.

I didn’t choose to love my brother’s best friend.

A man who breaks my heart repeatedly, only to lure me back into his bed with false promises of a future together.

Cutter is a Kings of Sin club member, and that comes before everything else.

He’s also a selfish, heartless asshole who keeps secrets from everyone he claims loyalty to.

Loving him is not a choice. It’s a curse—a curse I am determined to break.

The heart wants what the heart wants, or so they say, so I’ll have to cut mine from my chest until there’s nothing of him left in there.

If only our choices were free from consequence

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PART ONE

THE PAST.

FOUR YEARS AGO…

CHAPTER 1

SINNER

Four years ago…

LIAM “CUTTER” ELLIS

Black blankets the sky. The air trembles with the rumbling of our bike engines as we file into the compound, heading straight for the outhouse at the far end of the grounds. Easing my bike up beside Callan’s, I kill the engine and dismount as Monster backs one of the club trucks up to the entrance door. Jumping out, he pops the trunk, and a squeal whines from within.

Jack Bolden’s thin, crumpled body jolts to life, his hands spanning out in a defensive pose. “Please, I’m sorry. What did I do?”

“Get him inside,” Callan demands, smacking his fist against the roof of the truck. Monster and I drag the piece of shit out by his arms as he flails and begs.

“I’ll snap your twig of an arm off if you keep wiggling like a fucking worm,” Monster seethes, gripping him harder. A whimpering mewl passes the guy’s lips.

I hate the weak. The slimy, seedy bastards who like to inflict pain and suffering but can’t take it. The reaper always comes to collect on your sins, motherfucker. Today, we’re his soldiers.

Callan punches a code into the keylock, and the door releases with a click. A waft of damp, stale air trickles out from inside. This place hasn’t seen action in a while.

Jack begins to tremble as we drag him through the narrow passageway into an imposing concrete prison that’s broken many a brave man. Jack isn’t brave. The little weasel already pissed his pants, and we haven’t done anything yet. Shoving him inside the room, the overhead lights detect the motion and turn on automatically, bathing the area with a yellow tinge. Jack hustles to put space between us, scurrying like a trapped rat seeking escape, his wide eyes taking in the imposing walls echoing of past horrors, leaving his face drained of color.

The room has a metal table, a single chair, a slightly sloped floor with a drain in the center, and shelves and cabinets against the far end house tools to aid in retrieving information from the flesh—there’s no mistaking what happens within these walls.

My brothers circle him like vultures as he cowers against the wall like a beaten dog. Fear is reasonable and wise. He should be scared.

“Please don’t hurt me.” Pussy.

Power crackles the air as my rage amplifies, tightening the muscles beneath my skin. I bet the girl he attacked wished for the same mercy. He showed her none. I take a step closer, looming over him with intense wrath. His withering gaze cracks, and a single tear cuts a path down his cheek.

“Please.”

There’s no forgiveness. Only retribution and pain.

“You know why we’re here?” Callan’s rough voice breaks through the tension as he motions for Monster to bring the interrogation chair over.

The little pervert’s feeble whimpering draws a growl from Callan. “Answer me.” He demands.

Shaking his head, Jack watches Monster drag the metal chair across the room, filling our ears with a jarring screech that scrapes against the headache building behind my eyes. Placing the chair in the center of the room, right over the drain, Monster grins, the sinister curve of his lips menacing even to me.

I stalk our prey as he attempts to evade me, grip him by the neck in a bone-crushing hold, and throw him into the steel frame of the chair, making it almost topple over. Dropping to my haunches, I strap the leather restraints around his ankles and wrists, pinning him in place, my headache intensifying with every click of the buckles. I don’t like drawn-out torture. My blade is thirsty for the taste of blood: quick, painful when needed, satisfying. There’s something serene about hearing the rattle of that last breath in a sudden kill.

Monster is the opposite, and it looks like we’re doing this his way.

Clenching Jack’s jaw in a powerful grip, Callan leans in close, fuming through gritted teeth. “You’re a rapist.”

The words bounce around the room, raising our hackles. We aren’t good men. We all have blood on our hands. But only sick fucking cowardly bastards rape.

“No. No, no, no,” Jack splutters, sweat breaking across his brow.

“A sick predator who took advantage of an innocent girl while she lay unconscious,” Callan adds, releasing him with a sneer.

A video started circulating of a college student reduced to nothing more than a limp body, appearing more dead than alive, in a motel room with this piece of shit forcing himself on her. Turns out, she’s the niece of a friend of the club, Ray, who owns the bar claimed by the Kings. The girl was nineteen and attempted to take her own life when the video was shared and uploaded across social media. She’s the same age as Callan’s little sister. Even looks a bit like her.

Anger simmers within me, disgust burning my skin. My palms become clammy, aching to clench my blade and cut into this motherfucker.
I planned to get an in, to the Kings of Sin Clubhouse.

Stay under the radar.

Learn information.

Survive.

I came for vengeance.

Not friendship. Not a family. Not love

Yet here I am, drowning in all of those things.

Callan ‘Pain’ Cox was supposed to be the enemy.

But I’ve become addicted to his touch—taste—punishment.

With my secrets laid bare, those around me continue to hide theirs.

Betrayal comes in many forms, but nothing cuts deeper than when it’s from someone you least expect.

I came for vengeance.

I start a war.

This is book 2 (Book 1 should be read first in order to understand book 2)

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

QUESTIONS

ROGUE

Most women would run away now or throw a fit. Fuck that. Fuck her and fuck him.

It’s painful, but I’ll lick my wounds later when they can’t see the damage they’ve evoked.

“Hope you like how I taste,” I lie. It’s petty but gets the reaction I want. A spear of insinuation thrown across the room, stabbing her through the chest. Hurts, doesn’t it, swamp troll?

A thousand lies race to my mind to make him jealous with, but I won’t be that woman.

Tears burn the backs of my eyes, not sorrow, rage. Why mess with me if he was going to end up here with her?

Stupid. I’m so fucking stupid.

The walls close in around me, the windows to the fort I built in my head are shattering, shredding me with the pieces. I left the door open, and the devil walked straight in consuming and now destroying what was left of my already damaged heart.

Dammit, how could I let this happen?

“It’s not what you think,” Callan says, almost bored. He zips his fly and glances at me, then at Kitty, who’s seething, glaring at him with her arms crossed.

Isn’t that what they all say? “It’s not what you think.” Jackass.

“Then what is it?” Kitty asks the burning question that’s scorching through my brain like wildfire.

Georgina stands wearing only a towel. She curls her arm around Callan’s and strokes his shoulder in ownership.

Nausea stirs my guts as flames lick my anger.

Pinching his nose, he sighs. “She came in to clean up…”

I’ve been there. I’ve showered in his shower to clean up, and probably wore that same towel. I want to launch something at them both. Something heavy with sharp edges. Argh, I hate this. I need to escape.

“No one cares,” I lie. “Talk to your sister. She has questions you might actually answer. I’ll be at my motel when you’re ready to answer mine.” I scoff, giving Georgina one last look and forcing a smirk from my lips before turning to leave. If he wants to fuck poison, then let the venom take him out. I’m done. They can both kiss my ass.

“Rogue.” He says my name like a warning.

Fuck no, I will not heel at his boot. I spent too long being a doormat for Tyler. I won’t be one for him too. I’m not that girl anymore.

“Let her go, Callan. She doesn’t belong here anyway.” Georgina purrs.

Maybe she’s right. I don’t stick around to hear more, but their raised voices hum down the hallway as I depart. I’ve been stabbed with hot pokers and doused in acid. I need to sleep for a thousand years and forget I ever met the man whose road name now makes sense.

Pain.

He inflicts it with deadly precision.

The party has spilled outside. Laughter carries in the air while my insides rot. Fresh oxygen fills my lungs, helping to clear the alcohol fog. I desperately try to cling to my pride as I stroll up to the gates. They open for me to leave, and even though I’m choosing to go, I feel dejected all the same. This must be how club sluts feel the next day, used up and sent on their way. It sucks.

Tears I’ve been holding back drip down my cheeks. The cool breeze scatters goosebumps up my arms. I clutch them around myself to ward off the chill. The vast trees sway, whispering to the full moon. It’s so big, it’s almost intrusive in the night sky, a reminder of how small we all are. How fragile.

Thoughts manifest without permission, filling my head with visions of Callan with her, inside her—holding her—loving her. I could rip from my skin and howl at the moon like a fucking wolf. I don’t want to feel this way. I can’t take any more pain. I want to cut it out until I’m numb.

I don’t know how far away the motel is on foot, but I don’t stop moving. I pick up my pace until I’m jogging and then flat-out running, putting the club far behind me. Him behind me.

When I get to the closed road sign at the bottom of the road, I slow to a stop, gasping for breath as my muscles scream in protest of the impromptu cardio. My insides twist, and saliva floods my mouth. Acid burns a path up my throat, coating my tongue. Retching, I double over as sickness spills from my lips to the dirt at my feet. Gathering my hair into my fist, I purge everything inside my stomach until there's nothing left.

If only cleansing my heart was as easy.

My legs feel shaky when I begin walking again. There’s an ache throbbing across my ribs and my mouth tastes like I’ve been drinking toilet water.

Swiping another errant tear, I blow out a shaky breath. My reasons for going to the Kings got too clouded, and I allowed them to fill all the empty spaces inside me. How foolish I’ve been. Look where it’s left me? Alone in the dark, hurting.

On the eve of her wedding, Rogue learns darkness is always waiting to snuff out the light and happily-ever-afters aren’t fated for girls like her.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way.
I came to the Kings of Sin MC for revenge—to make them pay for their sins in blood.
I didn’t account for him. The vice president, Callan “Pain” Cox, is darkness and depravity
wrapped in a beautiful, compelling package.
And I’ve become addicted.
I need to hate him.
I should hate him.
But it’s hard to hate someone when you’re fighting every part of yourself not to fall in love
with them.
The lines are blurring, and I forget whose side I’m on.
When the world around me erupts into chaos, I must decide where I belong. Better yet—who
I belong with.
Because when Callan finds out who I am, it will be my sins paid for in blood.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

HAPPILY EVER…

PRINCESS/ROGUE

Unlucky. Isn’t that what they say when the groom sees the bride the night before the wedding?

Tyler’s tongue sweeps through my mouth, the growl in the back of his throat demanding as he grinds his crotch against the apex of my thighs. I came to the clubhouse to look for my sister—and Tyler caught me. He’s a shark smelling blood in the water. There’s no circling, just a straight-out attack. After he tossed me over his shoulder to the cheers of his brothers, he marched me to his room, and now I’m pinned against the bedroom wall. Captured prey for his devouring.

“Let’s get married right now so I can fuck you sore tonight,” he says with a husky grumble, cupping my tits and squeezing to the point of pain. I moan on cue, rotating my hips to graze the bulge hardening against me.

I’ve studied Tyler over the years. He’s all about precise movements, moaning at the right time with a congratulations afterward and a sated sigh. It would shock the shit out of him to know I sometimes go to the bathroom after we fuck, to finish myself off.

“Come lie down with me.” He tugs on my arm, dragging me toward his bed. The heavy scent of booze, smoke, and bad decisions lingers in the room. The sheets are rumpled and stained. The last dregs from a beer bottle leak onto the carpet from the trash can beside the bed. Gross. I’d rather be home with Harley, having a girls’ night.

“I came to find my sister,” I protest between kisses, attempting to wiggle free and failing. Tyler is a good-looking man and fifteen years my senior. He has a confidence about him that you only get with experience.

His sandy brown hair is pulled back from his face and tied into a ponytail at the nape of his neck. The scruff of his beard hasn’t seen a razor in weeks, but the scrape of it is familiar and almost comforting as he deepens our kiss. The taste of liquor burns my tongue from his evening of drinking in celebration of his last night of being “single.”

Such a joke.

There’s no way Tyler will be faithful. He hasn’t been up to this point. Club sluts aren’t shy when gossiping about him.

If only I could magic up enough emotion to care.

Resting his forehead against mine, he closes his eyes to catch his breath, offering me a reprieve from his drunken onslaught.

“Your sister isn’t here.” He wrinkles his brow as his hands creep down to grab my hips, the possession and need bruising as he digs the pads of his fingers into my supple flesh. I like the bite of pain, and he knows it. “If she is, I haven’t seen her,” he adds.

Shit. I thought for sure Harley would be here. She lives for club parties.

He adds pressure to my hips when I remain silent, and a moan slips past my lips. “Stay the night,” he begs, lust pouring from him like a teen boy on prom night.

Music vibrates the walls. The brothers’ raucous laughter carries down the hallway, reminding us there’s a party happening a few feet away. “You’re missing the fun,” I tempt, my fingers dancing over the president patch on his cut. Leaning forward, I kiss the club colors. I love this club, I love him, but it’s not an overwhelming love. It’s a familiar love. A love you have when you’ve known someone your whole life—grown up with them—a family love.

“You’re the only fun I care about.” He exhales, thrusting his hips forward.

“It’s bad luck,” I tell him, biting my lip.

“Like you give a shit about tradition,” he scoffs, taking my earlobe between his teeth. “I’ve fucked you every which way from Sunday before this wedding, what’s one more time?”

I don’t give a shit about tradition. But I do want to find Harley. We made a pact to spend tonight doing sisterly stuff. This wedding has been coming for a long time, but there’s a hummingbird inside me flapping her rampant wings, trying to free herself from the cage I’ve trapped her in. I need my sister. I need tonight without him.

Pushing the unwanted thoughts away, I refocus on Tyler. “She hasn’t been home since the party yesterday.” My tone is firmer. I manage to loosen his grip on me with hands pushing at his shoulders.

He sighs and releases me, backing away. Slipping off his cut, he drags his t-shirt over his head, displaying the ink decorating his toned torso.

“It’s my last night as a Stewart,” I pout. I sway my hips as I walk toward him. My hands come up to stroke his now bare chest. The enormous skull tattoo inked on his skin, complete with devil horns, comes to life under my touch. “Tomorrow, I’m all yours. Forever,” I say, ignoring the pit widening in my stomach at the reality of those words.
