I thought things couldn’t get any worse…
…but that’s not how it works when you’re trapped in hell.

After a certain vampire stalker reveals to all of hell that I’m warm, tasty, and alive, all of my allies are ripped away from me. It’s just me and the demons of Abaddon Academy, and they can’t decide which part of me they’ll devour first.

That’s when Ronin Belphe, the sexy and sinful prince of hell, steps in.
With a smirk on his lips and possession in his ruby eyes, he offers me a dark deal: his protection in exchange for my absolute obedience…
…and my body.

As if I didn’t have enough on my mind trying to save my sister and stop Satan from breaking down the gates between worlds and unleashing hell on earth, I’m now trapped in a dark, deadly dance with a demon who’ll do everything to me, except let me go.
As our relationship becomes ever more twisted and my chains to Ronin bind us tighter, I can’t help but think the world will have to save itself this time…

…because I can’t even save myself

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

She snapped her fingers and suddenly I was upright and spinning around. Just like that, I was faced with the scene she didn’t want me to see too soon—in case I might overreact.

I took a single look, and screamed.

A scream that ravaged my throat and shredded my heart, but did nothing to block out the raving lunatic that used to be my mother.

“Once the gates are open,” she said as she moved around the edge of the pentagram, placing items where she needed them. “Hell will unleash on earth, and Lucifer has promised me that the first to die will be the Avos coven,” she gritted, her voice rotted with the same hatred she forced upon Abaddon.

And deep in Abaddon, we found ourselves in a large, bare, stone room. A massive black pentagram dominated the floor. At each end of the five-pointed star, there was a jar of black blood, severed wings, a desiccated heart, and a pair of golden eyes.

“My mother and the only family she ever fucking cared about will pay for killing my husband, snatching me from my daughter, and forcing me to give birth to a beast just to get away from their control.”

I don’t even think she was talking to me anymore, because I was fairly sure that last horrible comment was directed at the young woman lying still in the middle of the pentagram.

Dora.

“Dora,” I screamed uselessly. “Dora, it’s me! I’m here! Wake up! Please, wake up!”

She couldn’t hear me, of course. She probably wouldn’t have heard me even if I wasn’t spelled silent.

Dora looked exactly as she did the night she was taken. The same dress. The same hairstyle. The same butterfly shoes. The same bits of food on that dress, shoes, and on her hair from the last meal we shared together. A meal that ended up all over her when the demons took her in the dining room. It looked like she’d been immediately spelled into a coma, and left to rot for almost two months.

The two months she waited for me to come and rescue her.

“But you don’t need to be scared,” she told me. “When hell is unleashed, we will be too. Together, we’ll leave this wretched place and be reunited with your father.” She turned a sweet smile toward the ceiling. “He’s in heaven of course, and unlike hell, heaven is not a prison. Those who ascend can always return to a mortal life—albeit through reincarnation.

“But when your father sees that we’re together and walking the earth again, I know he’ll choose to be reincarnated, and I know he’ll choose me, even though I’m a demon now. From there, it’s a simple matter to track down his new body and awaken the memories of his past life. The Avos coven created the spell for that centuries ago, and I’ll teach it to you, baby girl.” She smiled at me. “You’ll bring Daddy back, and just like that, we’ll be a family again.”

“Insane.” My whole body trembled. “My gods, she’s insane.”

Maybe she read my lips, because she stepped over her gruesome altar of horrors and came over to pat my cheek. “This is all a shock, I know. You came with such pure and kind intentions. You believed you were saving your sister, but now that you know the truth, you understand that between the three of us—you, me, and your father—being reunited, and the life of that creature, there is no contest. Of course I choose our family.”

“Dora is family!” I shrieked, and startled myself. “I can speak?” I said the words, and my ears heard it. “Finally, I can speak!”

Mom turned away.

“Hey, wait, Mom, stop!”

She moved over to a small table loaded down with items—some I recognized, and some I’d only seen in movies and Halloween stores.

“Mom!”

“She can’t hear you, darling.” Lucifer fell in beside me, chuckling over making me scream in surprise. “Didn’t your vampire boyfriend tell you? The price of stealing someone’s voice is losing your hearing for the same length of time. A price your mother is happy to accept right now, I’m sure. The last thing she wants to hear is what you think of her right now.”

I shook with rage as that handsome, smirking, evil face came into full view.

“Tell me this is a trick,” I rasped. “This is an illusion. Tell me it is!”

“’Fraid not,” he sang, smiling away. “All true, darling. She really is my baby mama”—he pointed at Mom—“and sweet little Adora really is my baby.” He flapped a hand at my sleeping sister. “Beautiful, isn’t she?

“It’s truly a shame your mother loathes me so,” he mused. “She and I make cute kids.”

My thoughts spun into a frenzy. “Do something,” I cried. “Please, do something! You promised you would—”

“Ah-uh,” he tutted, wagging a finger at me. “I promised you nothing. Weren’t you listening? You and I never had a contract, darling. It was all a ruse.” Lucifer tossed me a jaunty wink. “They don’t call me the father of lies for nothing.”
I sold my soul to the devil to save my sister.
In exchange for my eternal damnation, he’s bound to help me infiltrate the place where my sister was taken—the brutal, all-male demon academy where, if discovered, I’ll be hunted, enslaved, or eaten.

But as long as I’m magically disguised as a man, I’ll be able to navigate those dangers easily, right?
Hell no.

Not when the dangerous alpha monsters who rule the school are drawn to me in ways they can’t explain. The demon prince who can’t stay away from me. The exiled werewolf who sees right through me. The cold, haughty fae lord who hates me. And the starving vampire teacher who could’ve sworn for one delicious second… that my veins smelled of pumping, tempting, tasty blood.

They all want to have me, defeat me, kill me, or eat me.
But what do I want?

I want to know why, with every day that passes, I get the feeling that kidnapping my little sister was just the bait, and the whole time, what my unseen watchers and stalkers truly wanted…
…was me.

Deal With The Devil is the first book in the Hell Boys series. It features dark themes, language, and no choosing required

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

My lungs burned in my chest, crumbling to ash. My feet were two bleeding blocks of meat in too-tight shoes, jarring pain up my aching legs with every strike against the craggy, scorched earth. Hot, acrid, humid air clung to every part of me, making me feel like I was running through soup.

I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t see. I couldn’t stop. And all they did... was laugh.

Loud, raucous, poisonous laughter battered my eardrums. The other race contestants had all reached the finish line ages ago, leaving me in the last and most humiliating place.

Skins of all shades, colors, furs, and scales. Horns, pointed ears, fangs. A myriad of shining eyes from red to very pale white. Beings that shouldn’t exist. Creatures that were never meant to be real.

These vicious competitors all stood before me—united in one single goal—laughing their asses off at me as I stumbled over the finish line and collapsed at their feet.

“What the fuck’s wrong with you?” someone jeered.

A swift kick to my stomach shot the last traces of air screaming out of my lungs, cutting off any chance of me responding even if I wanted to.

“My five-hundred-year-old arthritic grandmother runs faster than you, and she’s got one eye and three legs.”

“Is this the true measure of a demon?” a cold, haughty voice slithered in my ear. “Pathetic creatures.”

“Enough.” A shadow fell over me—as large and intimidating as his booming voice. “Move to zone four. Your next trial starts now.”

The crowd jogged off, leaving their snickers and sneers in their wake.

I strained to get my hands and knees underneath me. “S-sir?” I croaked. I reached my hand up. “A little hel—”

He stomped on my hand, crushing it between his hoof and the heated earth.

My scream echoed through the Scorched Valley.

“Zero points for that sneak attack, boy. Your reflexes were too slow, and where the fuck’s your weapon?” He scoffed. “But two points for finally showing some balls. Putting on such a pathetic display just to draw me in and attack when you’re faking being down. Clever little demon.” Something akin to respect bled into the psychopath’s voice. “Very clever.”

Bending over me, he put his mouth to my ear as he grabbed me by the back of the uniform and hauled me to my feet. “I shall respond in kind.”

My eyes bugged. “What?! But I wasn’t—!”

He threw me none-too-gently in the direction of the retreating group. I landed face-first on the craggy rocks—my body folding in and crumpling on itself, every inch of me singing with pain.

Tears sprang to my eyes.

“Don’t you dare,” a feminine voice hissed from the depths of my clothes. “Don’t you dare shed a tear. Where do you think you are, girl? Happy Daisy Fairy Land?! This is hell! The slightest trace of weakness here will get you devoured, killed, or worse!”

What could fucking be worse than those two options?! I raised my head, latching on to half a dozen faces who were watching me with growing snarls. And why do I have a feeling that whatever worse is... they’re planning to do just that.

“Get up,” she hissed. “Now!”

I got up. Feet bleeding, face ground up, and two fingers assuredly broken, I got to my feet and crossed the short length of the valley to the waiting group of monsters.

The sky was different in hell. There wasn’t so much sunlight as there was glowing, flickering light from millions of fires burning across the realm. It filled the air with a heavy, acrid taste and smell that made every breath ache.

I looked around for a single living, green thing anywhere, but there was nothing. Nothing in the valley but hard, cracked, scorched earth, billowing smoke, and a hundred-foot-high cliff face that cleaved the flat valley in two, and denied us view or access to the other side.

We were a group of about fifty or so. I walked through the gates of Abaddon for what I thought was orientation, but before I could touch the steps leading to the main doors, Erlik barked at me to hurry the fuck up and join the rest of the fresh meat gathered around the statue of a half man, half goat.

He told us to follow him because our entrance trials began immediately. He also said there wasn’t any point in learning each other’s names until they were complete. He was right. Because before the trials started...

...there were a hundred of us.

The clomp, clomp, clomp of Master Erlik’s hooves echoed in our ears as loud as the faint screams carried in from every direction.

Erlik was a handsome man—demon—for all that his bottom half was snatched off an animal. He had a strong, scruffy jaw; a wicked grin; and bright, tantalizing ruby-red eyes. He had the face of every bad boy who told you straight to your face that your attempt to change him would only result in him ruining your life.
