FROM USA TODAY BESTSELLING ROMANCE AUTHOR ALIYAH BURKE

Book three in the Billionaire Brothers series

It's dangerous to ignore what's right in front of you.

He lives in obscurity and is better called a shadow.

Hastings Rhodes spends his days with his boots on the ground of foreign countries. Yet, the moment he gets the terrible news about one of his best friends, he heads back. To get the answers he demands, he need Violet Wentz, the beautiful organizer.

A boon for a family member positions her in a difficult situation.

Violet expected some hassle getting the project off the ground, but a vile senator and a grumpy military man on day one wasn't on the list. With the senator making threats, she realized she had to put aside her own personal feelings and work with the sexy, protective Hastings.

Two opposites have to learn to work together to each get what they want. Hastings discovers that neither his name nor his job are a plus for this woman, and she has thick walls around her heart. Getting in will be more dangerous than any mission he's been on. Once in, he plans on staying forever.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“If you can’t do it, I suggest you get the person who can give me some fucking answers down here!”

The venom in those words had Violet pausing as she stepped in through the doorway of the renovated building, out of the pouring rain. Welcome Home would be officially opening its doors in nearly four weeks, and she’d been roped into coming out here by family, nonetheless, to help them smooth over the final bumps.

From the sounds of things, there are plenty of bumps. She pushed her hood back from her head, freeing her curls and took a deep breath. No one waited for her, not that there was a front desk being manned yet, but still, they knew she was coming.

Chances were the person she needed was in the room with the yelling grump.

“Sir, there’s no need for that language.”

“Then do your fucking job.”

Oh, hell no!

She wasn’t going to put up with that. Marching over the spotless beige-tiled floor, she entered the doorway and found two men in there, squaring off. Two who couldn’t be more different from each other.

The man behind the desk, whose lean body was draped in white leather pants and a bright orange shirt, stood his ground, but even from the doorway Violet could tell he wasn’t a fan of the situation. And she didn’t blame him. His voice was one she’d heard a few times when she had called out here prior to her arrival. This was Paul Hemmor.

Yelling Man was built, a goddamn brunet Viking. Broad shoulders that looked like he could pull one of their longboats single-handedly were draped in a black leather jacket with a hood of dark charcoal-gray. As she stood behind the man, she took a quick—not so quick—perusal of him. Even his hair, that long collection of dark chocolatey strands with a few hints of rust in it, looked incredible. He had it gathered up in a man bun, but that in no way distracted from his sexiness.

Powerful legs encased in dark denim and an ass that—Christ!—could probably crack a walnut. He stood with his legs shoulder-width apart and arms crossed as he faced down Paul, who probably weighed half his muscled weight.

She hated bullies.

“May I help you, sir?” she asked while she maneuvered herself into the room, past him and around the desk. Without ceremony, she dropped her large pack on the floor by her feet and gave Paul at her side a reassuring smile. Then she gazed at the man across from them and lost her breath.

And I thought the back side was delicious. This man was every fucking desire she’d ever had, all rolled into one.

“Who are you?” he growled.

Patting Paul on the arm, she took a much-needed moment for regrouping and said quietly, “I’ve got this from here, Paul. We’ll catch up after.”

He nodded then took two steps away from her only to stop. “Are you sure you want me to leave you alone?”

The with him wasn’t spoken but definitely implied.

“I’ll be fine.” Dismissing him, she faced a man she would on any other day want to climb like a tree. Okay, today wasn’t an exception, she still wanted to do that, but he had the manners of a jackass.

She plastered on her work face and looked once more at the man before her. Objectively, this time. He was a dangerous one for sure.

“What’s the problem, sir?”

His dark scowl was focused completely on her. She wasn’t scared, she’d been before more than her fair share of bullies. He skimmed her with his flinty gaze, the graphite hue heating to molten for the briefest of seconds before it hardened once more.

“Who the fuck are you?”

“I’m the one in charge around here and the one who is going to have you removed from the premises if you keep on with that language.”

He raised one thick eyebrow. “How do you expect to do that?”

Smile not slipping an inch, she sat in the chair and rolled it closer to the desk. “I don’t have a lot of time, so either get to the point of what is bothering you or leave.”

Interesting how dark stormy eyes can get thunderheads in them. This man, whoever he was, didn’t like being challenged. Or refused.

“Evan Winter.”

She knew the name, had read about it in the files she’d been sent. But she also didn’t give out information to just anyone. Especially when she didn’t have much.

“Nothing to say?” He placed his hands on the desk, glowering down at her.

“You didn’t ask a question.” She leaned forward, positively refusing to back down from his challenge. “You stated a name.”

He narrowed his eyes further, and she felt the searing burn from his glare.

“Do you know him?”

“Not personally, no, but I know the name. And let me stop you before you even get started. Welcome Home isn’t about giving out personal information on our people, so I won’t tell you if he’s here.”
FROM USA TODAY BESTSELLING ROMANCE AUTHOR ALIYAH BURKE

Book two in the Billionaire Brothers series

Sometimes you have to get lost to truly find yourself.

He left town to get lost. The plane crash may make it permanent.

Playboy Bradford Rhodes wakes in a strange house with an unknown, yet, stunning woman. Iris Wentz doesn't blink to keep him with her during the deadly winter storm.

She traveled to check out her inheritance. The mountains in winter - during a blizzard- better choices had been made.

Iris-and her dog Piros- realize she's unsure how long she and Bradford would be snowed in together. Everything will be fine, so long as she can keep her hands off Mr. Tall, Sexy and damnit-not only that but also funny and flirty.

Forced proximity maybe the spark but Bradford is determined to make sure Iris knows his flame for her and his words are true, and he's looking at forever.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Iris Wentz took a deep breath and cracked her neck before she even dared to glance down at the envelope she held in her balled-up left fist. Uncertainty flowed as she stared at it. Not an ominous feeling but definitely something less than fantastic. She wanted to run, to hide, to avoid what was on the paper. There was a safe place to go, but she couldn’t. Right now she needed to be by herself and not with the family who looked upon her and loved her like she was blood. Their blood.

Growing up in a number of different foster homes hadn’t been the easiest for her. But then she’d landed at the Wentz home. Althea Wentz had been her lifesaver and had given her the family she’d always craved. Not to mention eventually giving her not one but two younger sisters that she loved more than anything. She had brothers also, but she doted on her sisters.

Didn’t change the fact she needed to do this on her own. A huff from beside her left leg had her smiling. Okay, not totally on my own.

She was at the home she’d declared as her childhood one, her mom having called her, letting her know there was some mail waiting for her. “Come along, Piros. Let’s figure this out.”

The Hungarian Vizsla at her side set off with her the moment she moved. He kept pace, not venturing away from her despite the fact he only had on a collar. This one was dark blue, which offset his short smooth golden-rust coat.

Her childhood home was situated on a corner lot that backed up to a national forest, so she and her siblings always had plenty of room to roam. Like her body had been programmed to go there, she found herself at the edge of a stream, by the large rocks they’d used to sit on.

Piros hopped up with ease and she, well, the struggle was a bit more real for her. “Stop laughing at me, canine. I have two legs.” She glared at him. “Without springs in them, like one of us in this single-direction conversation.”

The rock warmed under her ass after a few seconds and Piros lay with his head on her bent knee. Absently she scratched him as she slid a nail under the seal to open the envelope. It was almost fall but the weather was still beautiful. Soon, it would change. She took a deep breath and unfolded the letter. After reading it, she shook her head and read it again.

Piros whined and she patted him. A house? Property? “Looks like I’ve inherited some property in Colorado, Piros. A sizeable place from what it says, and there’s an offer if I want to sell.”

Her old man had left it to his children, and she was the only one they’d been able to find. Not that she had known the old man. A fact she liked to remind herself was not her fault. He was the one who had walked out and left her mother alone. Then that woman had died and the system had become home.

Until Althea Wentz. With her, she’d found her home. Her family.

Laughter preceded her sisters pushing through the woods to where she sat. Piros growled low before she shushed him. He was a dog she’d rescued from a shit situation and he loved her, trusted her with abandon, but he wasn’t like that with everyone else.

“You need to tell him to love us like he does you,” Daisy, the youngest of the trio, griped as she walked closer, her long hair swaying with each step she took.

“He hasn’t left, so that’s progress,” Iris retorted even as she settled a hand against his side.

“He’s just shy about his love,” Violet said as she climbed up without fear beside him and patted him.

Iris pushed the letter deep into the pocket of her cargo pants, not wanting to talk about this currently. Daisy scrambled up on the rock as well, the smallest of them all. Everyone, all the Wentz children, looked after her. Of the three of them here, Iris was the oldest, Violet was the most jaded, and Daisy was the brilliant one.

It didn’t matter they were all currently adults and off on their own, they came back often to their childhood residence and when they did, without fail, the three of them would end up on this rock together. Words weren’t needed, but they happened. Iris spent the rest of the afternoon joking and laughing with her family, Piros at her side and a small voice in the back of her mind yelling for her to tell her sisters about this news she’d just received.

She didn’t.

* * * *

Mid-December

At least a foot of snow covered the ground as she stared at the property before her. She’d parked her old, well-used SUV just inside the gateway of the land she’d inherited. The front gate wouldn’t completely shut off the property when closed because of how it had been created. Nothing across the drive, so it would always remain open. Not ideal for someone with pets. A curved cement wall on either side of the drive had been topped by an iron gate, and when she’d driven past that she’d found herself looking at a sprawling front yard leading up to the house. Large, gnarly, twisted-trunk trees dotted the space, and she knew they would provide great shade in the summer. Right now, however, icicles hung from the ice-coated branches.

Work reunites them, can he make it last forever?

Billionaire Livingston Rhodes hasn't been able to let go of the memory of his one night stand months ago, even if her face is a blur. Surrounded by scandal involving his younger brother, he brings in a forensic accountant to help uncover the truth. Despite his own attraction, he is determined to keep his eye on the ball.

Daisy Wentz is in New Orleans for work, the last thing she expected was to run into the man she had a steamy night with in Seattle. The night had been unforgettable…to her, he on the other hand, looks her straight in the eye and doesn't remember her. At all.
What is going to happen when she accomplishes what she was called there for, especially once he realizes, his attraction to her, isn't brand new, but because he does know her? Will they have a second chance at a happily ever after?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“Sit your ass right there, Bradford. Damn it, I’ll get to you and this most current clusterfuck in a second.” Livingston Rhodes raked a hand through his short spiked hair as he paced the wide expanse of his office, wishing he was anywhere but here. And now. Noting his younger brother had listened, he focused back on the man he was in the middle of a conversation with at that moment. Gareth Ericsson.

“I can just email you the accountant’s information, man. Sounds like you have a few other things on your plate.” The man’s low, smooth tone slid effortlessly over the line. Gareth was much less uptight since he’d found his woman.

Livingston turned his back on the large, polished, handcrafted oak desk to the massive window overlooking his city, New Orleans, and shook his head. “Please.” He wasn’t in the right headspace for this, wouldn’t be until he got his brother out of town for a while. And he sure as hell wasn’t in the mood for the holiday that was heading toward them.

Christmas.

Bah humbug.

“I’ll have it to you by the end of the day. I just want to say one thing.”

Gareth’s tone drew his focus like a shark picking up on blood in the water. “Which is?”

“She’s young, but don’t let that sway you. She’s a fucking rockstar at what she does.”

Livingston frowned. A woman? A young woman? Exactly the last thing he needed was a young female coming in to try to fix the mess. Other than maybe two women he was used to them doing whatever they could to get their hands on the fortune surrounding the Rhodes name. At least, that was where his gut was directing him. Until he got to the bottom of everything, all he had was conjecture.

“Gareth.”

“She’s not going to be like other women around you, Livingston. Single-minded focus is what this woman is about. She’s like you, but cuter and, I have to say, a lot more deadly.”

He watched a city worker hoist a Christmas direction up on a street lamp before the truck moved slowly on to the next. “Cuter? Since when do you notice women? I thought Xandra was the only woman for you.”

Cutting his gaze to the large flatscreen on the wall, which ran stocks most of the day, he noticed the weatherman talking about an early winter storm wreaking havoc over the Rockies. Dumping ungodly amounts of snow and sleet and taking power from thousands.

“She is. I know Daisy because of my Xandra. Red had her come here and check out our books after we had an accounting concern.”

After ensuring his brother remained seated—he was currently scrolling through his phone—Livingston faced the window once more, needing to do one thing at a time. “How come I didn’t hear about it?”

“Not a lot of people did. She came in, worked her magic and nailed down the who, how, when of the problem. After that, we handled it.”

Livingston grinned at the danger in his friend’s tone. They were so alike it was scary. They’d become unlikely friends and, despite their fathers’ attempts to keep running their lives and dictating who they could hang out with, they’d endured. There weren’t a lot of people that he trusted who traveled in their social circle, but Gareth was one. Perhaps the one, aside from his brothers and his best mate, Eli.

“I’ll look for the email. Give that wife of yours a kiss for me.”

“Fuck you, man. Your lips aren’t touching my Red.” There was humor in Gareth’s tone. Mostly. “Daisy Wentz is her name, and it’ll be in your inbox before the end of the day.”

“I appreciate it, Gareth.”

“Always, my man. You need anything, you let me know.”

He was gone.

One crisis having been dealt with, Livingston pulled the earbud from his ear and dropped it on his desk as he turned back to face his middle brother, Bradford.

His brother put away his phone and stood. “I swear I didn’t do this, man.”

“I know. You have no reason to steal from me, you have enough of your own money. But someone”—he took a deep breath and forced himself to unclench his fist—“is making it look that way.”

Livingston was desperate to know who had fucked not just with his business, but also with his brother.

“Thanks for believing in me. I know it’s not easy, especially with Dad being his usual charming self.” Bradford pushed his hands in his pockets, rocking back on his heels.

Livingston rolled his shoulders then took a seat. “I think you should get out of the line of fire for a while as the investigation goes on.”

A disbelieving snort left his brother. “So after that shit you just spewed, you still don’t honestly think I’m innocent in this. You believe that this is my fault, that I would actually be dumb enough and assholish enough to steal from you.”
