Life was good until that one day everything went to hell...

Waking up in the hospital, Indi still held hope that he would be able to see after the blast that put him there. No such luck. Still blind. Once out of the hospital, he leaves everything and everyone behind and moves on into a world of darkness.

Clay has always loved Indi, but his deceit has the other members of their mercenary team feeling awkward and frankly not cool with what Clay is doing — hooking up with Indi as a rent boy without revealing his true identity.

Kidnapping. Intrigue. Badass comrades. Get ready for Indigo and Clay in Xposed!

Books by Author:

T.S. McKinney

CHAPTER ONE

Indigo sat at his desk chair, closed his eyes, and for the hundredth time, imagined exactly what his new home looked like. Sure, he could believe what the decorator told him, knew what he felt with his fingers, but without being able to look with his own eyes, one simply didn’t know. Since his eyes no longer worked, he was totally fucked in the decorating and grooming departments. He knew he was clean—showered twice a day, kept himself manscaped as well as possible for a blind person, and got his hair cut when it started to feel too long. In his world, or at least his old world, longer hair led to curls.

Curls=bad.

He leaned his head back against the headrest of the office chair and stared at what he assumed was a pristine white ceiling. Again, the decorator had assured him. He wasn’t a pussy…even if he sounded like one in his own head…or out loud if he ever talked to anyone on a regular basis. Up until two years ago, he was ex Special Forces and a member of the most badass security team in the free-fucking-world. It had all disappeared, though. One wrong move. One second off. The tiniest delay or the partial second that he should have hesitated and didn’t. He’d gone over it in his mind a million times. Changed the scenario two million times. None of that mattered, though. He was still blind. Other than being paralyzed, he’d ended up the most helpless living person he knew. See, Indigo knew that idea wasn’t accurate, fair, or politically correct, but since his life consisted of him, his dog, and one huge fat mother-fucking lie, he figured he could be as politically incorrect as he wanted. In the end, he was only hurting himself and that made him kinda happy.

It made him feel.

Feels=good.

He closed his eyes and tried to see if the darkness changed at all. As usual—nothing. After the initial blast, when he’d been recovering in the hospital, the doctors had held up hope that his vision might return over time. It hadn’t. He’d always heard that blind people had superior senses—improved hearing, smelling…all that bullshit. Maybe it had only been his fourth day of being blind, but he’d automatically known the doctors were lying, or at least offering the tiniest bit of hope where no hope actually existed. That was the last of his superior, super senses. He was nothing special as it turned out. Needless to say, it had been a tough transition. He’d hated everybody, especially himself.

Two years later and he was still blind as a bat. After the first year and a half, he’d learned enough about caring for himself that he’d ghosted all his friends. The pity in their voices was slowly starting to kill the little bit of life still in him, especially Clay—his huge crush…on a straight guy. Yep, the worst mistake a gay man could make. As it turned out, ghosting Special Forces, especially when one of the members of the team was badass at computer hacking, wasn’t nearly as simple as he’d hoped. He’d been quite proud of himself at first, even patting himself on the back, but then he’d been found—truth be known, he’d probably never been lost from them. So, however that stupid saying was on Friends, they didn’t know he knew that they didn’t know he knew…or what-the-fuck-ever. The bottom line was Indigo knew they were around and that they, especially Clay, had betrayed him in the worst possible way…and like a fool he continued to let it go on because he was desperate, needy, and pathetic. At first, that first night, it had started with Indigo pushing Clay, just to see how far he would go before he caved. Clay hadn’t caved. Indigo hadn’t either. It had been a game of chicken…one they both lost. Afterwards, Indigo had hated himself, but he’d hated Clay even more. Same feelings the second, third, fourth…twentieth time after the first night. Thankfully, his only friend in the world, Sky, chose that moment to interrupt the dark direction his mind was turning.

“I’m sorry, Sky-baby, is it time for your walk?” Indigo baby-talked to his service dog. Again, nobody could hear him, so it was perfectly safe to emasculate himself even more in the privacy of his own home. Using his hands as a guide, he found her harness hanging next to the door. You know…where it always was because he’d never fucking find it if he misplaced it. And it wasn’t as if he could ring a neighbor and ask for help. When he’d made his move to ghost everybody, he had intentionally chosen a shitty, unsafe neighborhood to live in just to make it one step harder for his team to try and find him. Hollister, the kid next door, was the only one he’d let into his private sanctuary and that was probably a mistake. Well, Hollister and undercover Clay.
Ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time? It's something Remington Newsome learned the hard way. On a trip to New Orleans with friends, they visited a psychic. What could wrong? EVERYTHING! After passing out in Mystic Mary's living room, Remi awakes to Mary issuing an ominous threat - "Welcome to your gift, Remington". He thinks nothing of it until the dreams start. Scary dreams. Vividly, horrifying dreams. Dreams that appear to be coming true.

Ryder's goal in life is to keep his niece safe and happy. Sadly, that job is in direct conflict with something...or someone...he wants badly. One night. One mistake. Before knowing Remington was his niece's dear friend and roommate, he'd made the gorgeous young man his. Walking away from the best night of his life had been difficult but necessary...right up until the point that Remi needed him.
Both Remi and Ryder are unsure of what's going on with Remi's dreams, but they quickly realize it will take working together to save the lives of everyone involved. Can they do it or does Remi's Death Dreams become reality for one or both of them?

Author personal note: Death Dreams was a fun way to torture and kill some of my beloved readers!! (With their approval, of course!)

Books by Author:

T.S. McKinney

Prologue

He shoved her hard enough that she fell, causing her knees to collide with the solid dirt mixed with the pine cones that littered the wooded land around her. She’d always felt safe in these woods. There was no safety now, though. She knew it. Death stared her square in the face and the only question left to answer would be whether he killed her quickly, or made her suffer for as long as possible.

“Please…you don’t have to do this,” she pleaded. She hated begging him for anything, but she had so much to live for. Her family loved her. Gary loved her. She was loved and knew she deserved to have that privilege.

“Yes, sweetheart, I sure do,” the man answered. A sound of delighted humor laced his voice as he reached down, grabbed a handful of her hair, and yanked her back to her feet. “I do have to. But, more importantly, I want to.” He laughed deliriously. “You have absolutely no idea how badly I want to.” He gave her another shove and said, “Now…keep walking, bitch. We’re almost there.”

She looked around the forest, hoping for some sort of escape, but knowing one didn’t exist. If she knew anything, it was that the man that held her life in his hands had spent hours upon hours planning this night. He’d promised her she would pay for what she’d done.

He’d promised.

“What…what are you going to do to me?” she asked softly.

He laughed again, and she hated that she’d shown him any sign of weakness at all. He was the type that would feed on her fears.

“Bad, bad things,” he answered. “You destroyed my son’s life. I’m sure you knew I would never allow you to just hurt Joshua and walk away without…suffering the way you made him suffer.”

“He didn’t fucking suffer!” she screamed. “He was an animal! He tried to kill me because Gary loved me instead of him!”

The man backhanded her, knocking her to the ground again. She tasted blood. Furious, she opened her mouth to spew words of hate at him, but the words froze on her tongue when her eyes saw the deep hole in the ground only a few feet away from where she’d fallen. Next to the freshly dug grave was a large metal plate, big enough to cover the opening. A large crate sat next to the opening in the ground.

“What’s the matter, sweetheart?” the man asked. “Cat got your tongue?” He leaned down and pulled out a box cutter. “Wait…rat got your tongue?”

“Wh-wh-at?” she whispered.

He flipped the button on the box cutter, causing the blade to extend. “You cut my son. You cut him with tiny little slices until there was nothing left to hold him together.”

The sharp blade sliced across her face, causing her scream in panic and pain. “Nooooo!”

He sliced again. And again. And again. He wouldn’t stop. She struggled to get away but was much too small to overpower him, and after the first twenty slices, too weak to even try. Blood slid down her face, neck, arms, chest, and legs. She knew it was impossible, but it felt like there wasn’t a spot his blade hadn’t touched. Dizziness swept over her.

The entire time he sliced and diced, he yelled obscenities at her. His hatred oozed from every pore. “You! It was all you!” he screamed in outrage. “You took the only thing I’ve ever loved in this world! You!”

She couldn’t help but notice he referred to Joshua as a ‘thing’. It had always been about the things with him. The money. The prestige. The power. She suspected his love of those things was one of the reasons Joshua had been forced to hide what he truly felt. Yes, it was this man’s love of himself that caused all the lies that had eventually led to Joshua’s death.

Yet, he blamed her.

Suddenly, the cuts and screaming stopped. The forest grew silent again, with only the sounds of his heavy breathing and her shallow breaths to be heard.

Calmly, he closed the box cutter, slid it into the pocket of his expensive dress pants, and then tucked his shirttail back in. Casually, he brushed the front of his shirt…as if his hands could somehow smooth away the blood splattered all over the stark whiteness.

“Don’t worry, little girl,” he whispered softly. “You won’t be the only one to pay for sins committed against Joshua.” Using the tip of his foot, he pushed her limp body into the giant hole that had already been prepared.

She landed with a thud and felt her ribs crack with the impact. It was her grave. He really was going to kill her. She would never see or hold Gary again. Dear God…her sister, who’d practically raised her, would be destroyed over the loss.

All around her was nothing but darkness unless she looked up. Of course, looking up would mean she’d have to see the bastard’s face bathed in the moonlight, looking down at her. Her eyes stayed locked onto the darkness. The look on his face would be smug. She hated smugness and refused to give him the prize he wanted most-to see her fear before he covered the opening once and for all.
Ari’s heart was broken three years ago when the love of his life rejected him. Eli may have had his reasons—they may have even been good ones, but now he’s shown back up in Ari’s life, making outrageous claims on him and all Ari wants to do is run. Unfortunately, he flees right into the arms of some would-be kidnappers and has to rely on Eli to save him. Despite his father’s and his agency’s fears for Ari’s safety, he insists on going on with his life, which includes an upcoming vacation and not giving in to fears for his safety. The only problem is the agency wants to send Eli along with him as an all too willing bodyguard. This is so not what Ari had in mind when he signed up for a gay cruise!

Eli has been in love with Ari for years and has just been waiting for him to be old enough to be claimed. He’s waited as long as he can and he’s not willing to wait a second longer. Now if he can just convince Ari to let him back into his life, and if he can just hide his deepest desires from Ari so he won’t frighten him away, this just might work out. Eli quickly awakens a passion in Ari that neither of them ever knew existed, an undeniable attraction that could match his own hidden needs.

Add in a hot Caribbean cruise, pink lace, ropes, romance and even another kidnapping attempt, and it’s a recipe for a sexy adventure that just might bring them both everything their hearts desire.
Right there. In front of me. It was like a wonderful, live version of porn. Sure, some men and women were getting their asses spanked and they were tied up in a various assortment of humiliating positions, but it was still porn. I would only have to take two steps forward, and I’d be out of the sanctity of the fairy-tale love story taking place in the room behind me, and into the pits of sinful delights.

My feet remained glued to the floor, though, because no matter how badly I might want the glorious display of wickedness in front of me, I also wanted the love that existed in the room behind me. The sad truth of the matter was that I’d probably never have either one of them. Like a coward, I sat at home every day, working away on my computer and not existing in the real world.

The story of my life—afraid to take a step forward and too much of a coward to take a step back.

Just as I started to turn away and rejoin Seth and Baker’s collaring ceremony after-party, something caught my eye. No, some one. I froze, my feet suddenly unable or unwilling to move. I felt like every person in the club froze and then simply disappeared. Everyone except for me and Eli.

He stood about ten feet away from me, looking sexier than fuck and even more arrogant than I remembered. I hadn’t thought it possible, but his muscles were larger, more defined, and oh-so-perfectly accented by the leather harness thingie that criss-crossed his chest. Black leather pants were molded to his legs.

I literally felt myself gulp. Seriously, like some cartoon character, I gulped.

He smirked and then crooked his finger to gesture for me to come to him. With what could only be described as pure guidance by my cock, my right foot took a step forward. The sounds of the club returned, and all the participants reappeared. That’s when it dawned on me. Eli was not only at a BDSM club, but he was dressed the part.

My feet froze again.

His finger crooked again.

Knowing I needed to face the music sooner or later, I covered the short distance between us and said, “What are you doing in Colorado, Eli? This is my world, with my friends. Not very long ago, you made it perfectly clear that you didn’t belong with me. Why show up now? If you’re hoping for a side order of revenge because of my lie, then you’d best get ready to be disappointed. My friends will kill you if you try to hurt me.” That probably wasn’t true, but maybe Eli wouldn’t know any better.

One corner of his lips tilted upward as he gazed down at me…working some sort of deviltry with the lower portion of my body. Why? Why did he have to smell so fucking good? Look so fucking delicious? Why?

“I’m here because I got tired of waiting, Ari. You’re old enough now…and you’re mine.”

And then I ran…in the opposite direction.

“Love you guys and congratulations!” I yelled as I breezed past Seth and Baker. I didn’t pause long enough to really capture the expressions on their faces. I didn’t want to know if my sudden departure would be considered a friendship violation or not. Not knowing seemed much more pleasurable than facing the harsh reality of the fact I was acting like a total douche by ditching them just as their party was getting into full swing. They were probably my first real friends in years…or ever.

As I headed to the back exit, which I’d already scoped out earlier because being acquainted with each and every exit to a building was what my father had taught me to do my entire life, I waved goodbye to my dad and motioned that I’d call for a car to pick me up. I wasn’t fast enough to dodge the look of dismay on his face, though. I knew him too well to miss it. He knew me too well not to give it.

In an instant, he knew I was running from something. As I yanked open the back door of Seth and Baker’s private room, I let the weight of guilt settle into that spot right between my shoulder blades—the spot no one could ever reach. He worried about me. Constantly. Over the years, he’d been there to witness my struggles of continually living in a world that was always much older, much more worldly and more confident, than I was. He was quite possibly the only person alive that knew how I hid behind my snarky comments and bubbly attitude. He knew it was a mask I used to hide the fact that I didn’t fit in.
When Landon is offered an assignment to be the bodyguard of a gorgeous young male model, he expects the case to be nothing he wants. He certainly has no interest in following a spoiled, rich young model around Milan, Italy from one catwalk and party to another, and he doubts the threats Jinx has been receiving have any real merit to them. Probably just some teenaged fans stalking their favorite “boy model” and nothing to get worked up about. But when Jinx’s own father says the exact same thing, it makes Landon inexplicably angry and protective over him, because Landon would never allow his own son, Ari, to be threatened by anyone. Only Jinx’s mother and Landon’s agency fear for the young man’s safety, so Landon takes the case despite his qualms and soon realizes Jinx badly needs two things that are up to now missing in his life—a firm hand and some unconditional love—and love not based on how much money he can bring to his family.

Jinx has never met a man like Landon before. The handsome, fearless bodyguard who gives him orders and expects him to do his best to follow them, also awakens a passion in Jinx that no female has ever managed to do before, an undeniable attraction that could match the need that seems to grow stronger every day. But could Jinx actually be falling for another man? Problems between the two abound—Landon is almost twenty years older for one thing, and they come from two vastly different worlds. In order to work it out between them, Jinx has to learn the truth of who’s behind the threats to his life, and discover who his enemies and his allies really are. He has to learn to fight for his happiness even if it means facing a killer.
Whoever sent the emails and notes he’s received are beginning to escalate with their obsession of him. You’ve seen the news, Michael. These stalkers become obsessed, dream up a relationship that doesn’t really exist, and then they come after their victim. I only want what’s best for our son.”

“For fuck’s sake, Cynthia! Calm down. You’re scaring our son with your obsession with following the tabloids and fake news. Micah is not only booked in Milan, his schedule for the remainder of the year is full. I have people begging and offering obscene amounts of money to bump off another contender and put their label ahead. Now is not the time to let a few silly threats interfere with Micah’s dream. You’re acting like a schoolgirl. You know better than this, Cyn. Surely you can remember what it was like to be the most sought-after model in the world. What’s wrong? Are you jealous of our son’s success?”

I arched my brow at that comment and waited on Samantha to intervene in the conversation and kick the guy’s ass for talking to her best friend like he was. During the flight over, Samantha had given me a briefing on his latest assignment—the one I’d tried to decline but she’d insisted that I was the man for the job. I’d finally explained that I was worried about Arizona and was afraid my head wouldn’t be in the game, but she’d brushed off my concerns without even considering my worries. She’d quickly dismissed my words by saying that Eli was handling Ari’s safety while on the cruise, so she needed me to take care of her godson.

Speaking of the godson—the young man in question was sitting quietly at the conference table, trying to appear interested when he was clearly bored with the entire conversation. He hadn’t talked much, just a few softly spoken words in greeting to him and Samantha. He was polite—perhaps overly polite for someone his age and in his current position in the modeling world. Yes, modeling. I wasn’t certain what I’d done in another life to deserve the punishment of having to babysit a model, but it had to include boiling puppies alive or serving kittens to alligators.

There was nothing in the world that could have been less interesting to me than being embroiled in the billion-dollar industry of the rich, famous, and drop-dead gorgeous. The kid probably made more in a week than I made in a month. Well, at least he was polite and not a spoiled-rotten asshole…like his father. The man was a total full-of-himself twat. Just being in the room with him made my blood pressure soar through the roof. Hell, if Samantha didn’t step up and shut him up, I was going to have to achieve the honor myself.

“I’m only worried about him, Michael. There’s no reason to be so offensive,” Cynthia Gentry said. There was an edge to her tone, letting me know this wasn’t her first disagreement with her ex-husband regarding her son’s modeling career. “Perhaps you should worry more about his safety than the bottom line or his popularity for once.”

“Shut the fuck up, Cyn!” Michael snarled. “You were also jealous of me and you’re allowing that jealousy to interfere with our son’s career!”

“Enough!” Samantha yelled. “This conversation is absolutely ridiculous. Michael, your son has received threatening letters and emails. Your security for him is well below average and unable to keep him safe if these threats turn out to be something more than just a sixteen-year-old girl sitting behind a computer screen and doing a 24/7 Google on Jinx Gentry and then allowing her teenage hormones to convince her to do something stupid like threaten to abduct him. If you aren’t going to allow him to return home, then surely you will allow my company to see to his safety while he works.”

Michael literally snarled at Samantha. “Stop acting like you care about Micah’s safety just because you’ve slept with my ex-wife!”

Wow. Samantha had left that part out of the portfolio.

Samantha stood up and leaned over Michael. “One of us needs to, Michael…and apparently, it isn’t going to be you!”

“Both of you make me sick!” the father growled. “I won’t allow it. More security isn’t in the budget.” His eyes gleamed with hatred as he looked at Samantha and Cynthia. “Send your Rottweiler home, Cyn. You’ve wasted her time and money by having her fly over here.”

The man truly was remarkable. Here I was, worried about my own son even though one of the best bodyguards in the world was stuck to him like glue while he was on his birthday cruise, but this man didn’t want the best security for his son because it wasn’t in the fucking budget? I hadn’t wanted this job. I disliked the entire modeling industry because it appeared superficial and catered to the self-image problems many young girls and boys, and older women and men suffered from. I wanted nothing more than to get back on the plane and wait for Arizona to return home, safe and sound. I liked working with my client, not against them.
With subs being murdered at a Miami BDSM club, experienced dominant Agent Seth Wilkinson must find his own submissive to “entice” a killer. When he’s paired with Agent Baker Daley he wonders just how much a straight man can fake.

Baker Daley knows he can “play the part”; he just needs a chance to prove it to Wilkinson. Being a straight man should have no bearing when his Domme has trained him well in the practice and lifestyle of submission. After all, this is just a job, right?
One scene. One intuitive Dom. One sassy sub. The game is afoot…in more ways than one.

As passions ignite and both men grapple with their internal desires, the mission begins to heat up. In a race against time, confusion and danger, they may just discover the greatest threat is to their hearts.

Books by Author:

T.S. McKinney Books

Chapter 1

Seth

I stared at my good friend and boss, trying my hardest to not show him my I-told-you-so face. Hell, who was I lying to? I wasn’t even trying to hide it. I had tried to explain to him, countless times, that what he was requesting just wasn’t feasible. He hadn’t listened to me, just waved me off and said The Company had plenty of men who would be willing to go the extra mile, as he’d called it at the time. Sure, there were plenty of agents capable of taking all the pain I was willing to dish out to them, but what Landon, or the rest of them for that matter, hadn’t understood about BDSM was they also had to enjoy it. A person with any experience at all—and we were dealing with professionals—would recognize a sub faking it.

The funniest part was the number of agents who had thought they could fake it. I shook my head as I recalled some of the horrendous fake jobs I’d endured before convincing Landon that faking it wasn’t an option, and he didn’t have anybody qualified to fill the position of my sub on the latest assignment. I sat quietly, waiting on him to admit defeat. It wasn’t that I didn’t want the assignment, I wanted it bad. Some nut job was abducting and torturing subs from a BDSM club in Miami. He’d beaten and mutilated one so badly that he’d nearly died. On top of that, the fucker filmed the entire thing and played it for some online chat group. I wanted him wiped off the face of the earth, but I also knew we weren’t going to accomplish the job with fake subs. Did I have a better plan? No, but I was working on it. Even if the company passed on the job, I planned on working on it behind the scenes.

“Come on, Landon,” I finally said. “Please don’t tell me you’re still considering trying to get one of our guys to act the part of my sub. I know you aren’t educated in the BDSM lifestyle, but you’re asking for a square peg to fit into a round hole. Other Doms and subs will see straight through a bullshitter. We get them in the clubs all the time, people experimenting or who read that erotic romance book one time too many and decided they liked getting their asses spanked. They aren’t welcome. Experimenters get a bit more leniency, but still, it puts the entire club on edge. Our lifestyle is frowned upon enough as it is.” I leaned in and said, “Let me work on this on my own. At least let me see what I can find out before we do something stupid or, worse than that, pass on the job.”

Landon nodded as he stared back. “You think you’ve got me, don’t you? You think you’re gonna get to give me the told-you-so talk. Too bad, buddy! I studied through the employee files of different branches of The Company and I’ve found you the perfect sub.” He leaned back and grinned at me. “Apologize to me, Seth. Go ahead. I’m waiting.”

I snorted. “Riigghhtt—like that shit is in the employee files.” Fuck, was that in my file? I knew The Company made it their business to know our business, but….

“Well, they do put that information in your files. They put everything in there, Seth—from your dislike of cauliflower to the size of your dick. When they pay us as much as they do, they kinda think they own us. If you don’t like it…well, too bad. It’s just the way things are.” He rubbed his hands together and asked, “You ready to meet your new boy toy?”

“He’s here? Now?” I couldn’t help it. He’d gotten my attention. If this agent really was a sub and it turned out we could work together, we’d have a good chance of taking this guy down before anyone else lost their life.

“In the flesh,” Landon answered. “His name is Baker Daley. Get ready to fall in love, buddy. He’s a looker.”

I rolled my eyes. “It isn’t about love, Landon. I’ve explained that to you already.”

“Sure, sure. Whatever. Get ready to fall into lust, then. If I wasn’t straight, I’d want a couple of rounds with him myself.”

“You aren’t straight,” I corrected.

He grinned. “I know. And I want to go a couple of rounds with him!”

“You are so inappropriate,” I groaned.

“I know. That’s why I work for a private agency instead of the government.” He reached for the intercom button and told his secretary to send Agent Daley in.

Within a few seconds, I heard the office door open and then close. Landon promptly stood up and said, “Agent Wilkinson, this is Agent Baker Daley. He’ll be working with you on your current assignment. Agent Daley, this is Agent Seth Wilkinson. He’ll take lead.”
